About us

Who we are

CareTrade passionately believes that autistic young people should have the opportunity to be part of their community, to have the support they need to access it and the opportunity to contribute to it. Being in employment is probably the biggest single factor that will transform the life of an autistic person and to date this has been the theme of all our projects.

Just 3 in 10 autistic adults are in work, compared to 5 in 10 for all disabled people and 8 in 10 for non-disabled people.    (The Buckland Review of Autism Employment 2024)

There is evidence that with the right support many, many more of these young people are able and would like to work and to play an active part in their community.

Our vision is a world that embraces neurodiversity in the workplace, where all autistic people can lead purposeful, working lives.

Our purpose is to support autistic adults towards, into and to remain in employment of choice.
