ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an innovative and creative leader to manage SIG Safe Ground’s flagship Family Service. A first of its kind, the Family Service at HMP Altcourse brings together creative interventions for men in custody, bespoke family counselling and daily practical support for families visiting a loved one. Leading this ground breaking service you will work alongside internal & external staff teams to reimagine what family support is within the criminal justice system, working to influence a culture shift at HMP Altcourse and the wider prison system.

SIG Safe Ground are experts in delivering arts-based, therapeutically informed group work, celebrating 30 years of working in prisons in 2025. We’re looking for an action-orientated individual who is passionate about developing creative, family-led ways of working to best support those in crisis. You’ll join a reflective, dynamic team of facilitators, counsellors and family liaison workers supporting those with experience of the criminal justice system to build a practical toolbox to cope and move forward positively. 

Rota: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm, Flexible hours when programme delivery is taking place 7.30am - 5pm

ABOUT YOU

You will bring a deep passion for arts-based interventions, combined with exceptional communication, organisational, and supportive skills. Your approach will centre around building and nurturing relationships, recognising their critical role in personal development. Training will be an integral part of this role, including experiential programme training and Security and Key Training through the Criminal Justice Service, to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demands of the position. 

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management

• Provide high quality support and line management to staff, offer guidance, support and advice to the team to support them as a leader.
• Responsible for management and leadership of employees and the full employee lifecycle.
• Proactively embed a culture of learning, development and evaluation.
• Build strong internal relationships across the business and ensure consistent communication.

Operational

• Support the service to operate and deliver to the standards of Safe Ground, Social Interest Group, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Take all necessary measures to establish and deliver programmes as the core curriculum at the designated prison service.
• Support the team to meet performance targets, and objectives.
• Attend and contribute to meetings associated with the programme, and convene meetings when required.
• Coordinate and liaise with the team and participants to seek and maximise opportunities for development and evolution of programmes in accordance with organisational strategic plan.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and partners.
• Work closely within the team to monitor, gain feedback, evaluate and develop the programmes for continuous improvement.
• Admin and other duties will vary.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Background in arts education, dramatherapy, or applied theatre and/or education
• Experience within a prison or other criminal justice setting, and/or within a similar role
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding and/or experience working with therapeutic groupwork techniques
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people within the criminal justice setting

What we would like, but not essential:

• Line Management Experience
• Appropriate professional qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice/Arts/Dramatherapy or professional equivalent
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people within the criminal justice setting

About the role: 

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. Podium Analytics is a charity that was established in 2019 to create a world with more sport, less injury.

Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery - from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and enabling them to engage with education, employment and specialist health services.  National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities. 

Role Summary

The Women’s Project Supervisor role is to work with and when appropriate deputise for the Services Manager to maintain, develop, and expand services to ensure that Wintercomfort can meet its objectives of supporting vulnerable, homeless or at risk of homelessness women to make positive changes in their lives. In addition to supporting the Services Manager with the day to day running of the centre the role holder will have line management responsibility for the Women’s Project Worker team. 

Experience

• Previous experience of support work that effectively engages individuals with opportunities for self development. 
• Experience of supporting vulnerable people with complex support needs to make positive changes in their lives.
• An understanding of substance misuse, mental health and issues associated with social exclusion.
• Experience of delivering advice, guidance and employability support to individuals. 
• Knowledge of local volunteering and informal learning opportunities. 
• Knowledge of local services for homeless and vulnerably housed people.
• Experience of managing projects providing opportunities for placements and personal development.

Prospectus is pleased to be supporting a UK Leading youth homelessness charity. They provide homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills, with the aim to get them back into education, training, and employment. At an exciting time, they are now looking for a Participation Manager to join their team, on a FTC basis, initially for 12 months.

As the new Participation Manager, you will report into the Director of Policy and Participation, and you will work to set up and establish a new cross organisation youth participation function.  You will work closely with the young people and colleagues to review current participation and use this to develop and implement a strategy for effective youth participation across the organisation, whilst implementing  guidelines for best practice. You will lead the delivery of participation training to staff and trustees, manage a range of internal and external relationships, negotiate and work collaboratively with peers and other colleagues and represent the organisation in various internal and external forums.

To be considered for this position, you will have significant experience of working directly with young people and have an understanding of participation theories and experience of using these to train young people, staff and trustees.  You will also be able to work collaboratively across team and organisational boundaries, negotiating and building relationships with schools, local statutory services and the voluntary sector and be able to establish and deliver a new programme of work within a set timescale and on budget. Candidates with experience of  leading and delivering effective youth participation and engagement programmes and working with young people, providing pastoral support and safeguarding and are highly encouraged to apply.

Please note, this is a full-time role, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, you will be required on site at their London office 2 days per week, with the option to WFH to remaining 3 days. About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join the HR team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading and supporting in the delivery of our staff training programme, overseeing all our people development activities, and ensuring that our statutory training requirements are met. We want the staff training experience to be impactful, positive, engaging, and meaningful to provide our workforce with all the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to deliver first-class support to our young people, whatever their role.

As well as commissioning external training, we currently deliver a variety of online and face-to-face training in-house - First Aid, CPR, GDPR, Manual Handling, NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) to name a few. Our largest cohort for training is our care and support staff in our college, residential houses, adult day service, and supported living houses. We also have to ensure effective training is delivered for our estates team, catering staff, office staff, and our leaders and managers.

This role works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure a good understanding of business needs and the different operational teams to help propose the right training solutions delivered in the most impactful and cost-effective way to drive forward our strategic goals.

As part of the role, you will manage the in-house training system and staff training records and frequently update the training matrix, ensuring information is correct in a timely manner to issue monthly/termly reports to managers.

About you

You may be a training manager or have been involved in planning or delivering effective training for your staff team. Training experience within a health and social care setting is desirable. You need to have an understanding of the breadth of training required by an organisation like InFocus across very different operational teams. You will need good organisation skills and be pragmatic in finding the most effective ways to meet our training needs within a tight budget! You will also need to be a creative, confident person with excellent presentation skills who takes pride in delivering interactive, first-class training, ensuring all participants have a positive experience. A great aspect of this role is that you will work with lots of different staff across the organisation such as managers, care staff, therapists, nurses, and teachers, so being a people person who is able to form strong working relationships at all levels and engage and motivate people is a must.

White Gables is a 24-hr crisis service, supporting people experiencing a mental health crisis and working to a recovery model.  We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Growth Marketing Manager to join the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and lead our acquisition and lead generation marketing activity.

THE ROLE
Within the broader context of the overall Counselling training programmes, and in the light of any overall Programme policies and guidelines, to lead and manage the BA Counselling Year 2 (One day a week delivery) programme, maintaining a standard of excellence and safeguarding the distinctiveness of the Waverley Integrative Framework.

KEY TASKS

- Within that broader context, and supported by the BA Counselling Programme Leader, to be responsible for the structure and delivery of the B.A. Year 2 (one day a week delivery) programme and the student assessment processes. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and maintaining development of BA year 2 (one day a week programme), keeping it in line with academic and professional requirements as appropriate;
- Maintaining the integrity and ethos of the Waverley Integrative Framework and consistency with overall BA Counselling Programme;
- Assisting Waverley Abbey College as required in its annual budget process, and keeping spending commitments in the BA Year 2 (one day a week programme) in line with Waverley Abbey College’s agreed budget;

Establishing and maintaining fair systems for student assessments, including:

- Initial selection of students, taking due account of standards and BA Counselling admission procedures;
- Setting appropriate assignments;
- Maintaining standards in grading; and
- Ensuring tutorial support and oversight of students’ personal development.
- Supported by the BA Programme Leader, to encourage, develop and manage the tutorial teams for BA Year 2 one day a week programme, assisting tutors to deliver courses to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:
- Selection of team tutors, selection of other associates (role players, supervisors, facilitators, etc) in consultation with the BA Programme Leader;
- Continued oversight of tutors and associates, including team-building and individual appraisal and feedback;

Supported by the BA Programme Leader, to be responsible for the welfare, spiritual well-being and psychological safety of the BA Year 2 (one day a week programme), within the parameters of the course. Responsibilities include:

- Dealing with student complaints and grievances, and handling any cases of academic misconduct, in line with Waverley Abbey College’s policies and procedures;
- To lead and lecture on other modules as agreed with the BA Programme Leader and College Director;
- To continue personal professional development, professional conferences, further education and training, etc;
- To maintain a personal counselling caseload in accordance with the highest standards required by professional bodies;
- Attendance at Waverley Abbey College Team meetings, Academic Boards, Programme Boards, Exam Boards and events such as Graduation Day;
- Any other reasonable duties as requested.

The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join an established and well-regarded Gloucestershire disability charity to lead on the delivery of peer led Abuse Awareness, Self-Advocacy and Enablement Training for adults in Gloucestershire with learning disabilities.

Training is delivered through both individual and group training sessions across the county. 

By enabling and empowering Individuals to make decisions and act, the training will support people with a learning disability to develop the skills they need to ensure they are able to safeguard themselves from harm, contribute towards more independent living, and maintain and/or improve their health and wellbeing. 

About You 

You will be a highly motivated and engaging professional, with knowledge and experience in delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions, as well as guaranteeing the quality of delivery by the wider training team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in, knowledge and understanding of the daily challenges faced by adults with a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have a background in training or delivering in an academic environment. Direct experience of working with people with a learning disability is strongly preferred.

To be successful, you will have strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. A proven ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and virtually, is essential. 

Experience delivering programmes related to diversity and inclusion would be beneficial, in addition to a thorough understanding of safeguarding.

What you will be doing: 

• Leading a team to deliver our full range of bespoke training to adults with learning disabilities in Gloucestershire.

• Delivering the Building Circles Training to professionals and peers.

• Providing direction and prioritisation of course content in line with the Service Specification to meet the needs of those referred to the service.

• Working with the trainers and training administrator to recruit and train a team of co-trainers. 

• Ensuring all training is outcome driven and measured against key performance indicators. 

• Ensuring impact is measured and reported on to our Service Contract Managers, CEO and Board of Trustees
