Responsibilities of our Associate Director of Communications:
- take accountability and leadership for Cats Protection’s integrated communications, providing strategic leadership of the function
- take a strategic approach to integrating different approaches to communications to a deliver a proactive strategy which delivers against agreed organisational priorities
- lead, manage, and motivate the Communications team in line with Cats Protection’s people policies
- responsible for the successful delivery of Public Relations campaigns ensuring objectives are met and work is achieved within budget
- build a culture of positive engagement across functions and promote and role model the values and behaviours of the charity
- maximise the value for money achieved by the charity’s expenditure, with responsibility and accountability for the planning and management of the Communications budget
- work in collaboration with members of the Senior Management team, to fulfil all duties and responsibilities set out in the terms of reference
About the Communications Department
The newly formed Communications department consists of three functions;
- Digital – respnsible for the digital footprint of the organisation across social media and website, creating content and supporting engagement across branches and teams
- Internal communications – delivering creative and effective communications strategies to ensure effective engagement of employees and volunteers
- Media – responsible for developing and delivering innovative strategies to enhance and protect Cats Protection’s reputation in the media, through national stories and supporting local branches and centres
Together, these functions are responsible for the external voice and visibility of Cats Protection, delivering integrated, impactful messages and campaigns in support of organisational priorities.

The RSPB, Europe’s leading nature conservation NGO, is seeking a Director of Supporter Fundraising to lead the charity’s work in recruiting and stewarding the next generation of individual supporters to help address the nature and climate emergency.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature, bringing people together who love birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the health and diversity of the natural world. The charity now manages and protects 160,000 hectares of land across the four countries of the UK.
Public support has been at the centre of RSPB’s work since its foundation as a campaigning organisation in 1889. With 1.1 million current members contributing over £95m to the charity’s cause in 2024, the RSPB has set itself a bold ambition to increase supporter numbers and net income from this core area.
Working closely with the Executive Director for Income and Conservation Investment and other senior stakeholders across RSPB, the Director of Supporter Fundraising will ensure that the organisation maintains and increases its income in membership, individual giving, legacies, in memoriam and community fundraising. The role will be responsible for a large team working to develop new strategies and to engage and grow a diverse supporter base, enabling the charity to inspire long-term support and active engagement with their work.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing a large and complex individual giving or subscription programme across multiple products and channels. They will also have demonstrable experience of leading successful organisational transformation to create long-term value, as well as of leading projects within a complex stakeholder or matrix management environment. Significant experience in individual supporter fundraising or consumer marketing through direct marketing techniques will be essential.

Governance

Financial
Ensure that income is maintained, expenditure controlled in line with budgets and potential risks are identified and managed
Draw up an annual budget for approval by Trustees
Liaise with appointed bookkeeper, ensuring timely payment of bills, invoicing for services, chasing of invoices for payment and maintenance of petty cash systems
Prepare contracts, apply for tenders, negotiate and agree contracts, service level agreements and acknowledge receipt of funds as required.
Oversee expenditure and management accounts ensuring that income and expenditure is monitored and reported quarterly to Trustees
Organise independent examination of accounts with appointed accountant
Review and make recommendations to maintain or change arrangements with accountants, bookkeepers and payroll service providers.
Income Generation
Develop income generation strategies to maintain and enhance levels of funding from existing sources and develop new funding streams
Work closely with and provide support to the Fundraising Officer on funding applications to ensure continuous and sufficient income
Work closely with the Co-Director of Operations to ensure that monitoring reports are submitted to funders in line with requirements.
HR
Recruit staff as required
Support and supervise Administration and Fundraising Officers
Ensure HR policies, procedures and staff contracts are relevant and reviewed regularly to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Promotion of Charity
Maintain effective networks with supporters and stakeholders
Network externally and develop partnerships to improve impact and sustainability
Ensure charity is presented in an appropriate and professional manner to its stakeholders including website, social media, annual, impact and reports
Represent the charity in public forums and produce or commission written/digital material for promotion
Asset Management
Overall responsibility for asset management including Playbus vehicles, premises management, IT, utilities and other overheads.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Philanthropic Programs Director, you will lead and keep developing AIM's Impactful Grantmaking training program and oversee our five funding circles. Your primary responsibility will be outreach, program facilitation, and hands-on philanthropic advising for the twice-annual 9-week cohorts of funders giving over $1M annually.
This is a fairly senior position with high stakes, a lot of potential for development, and outstandingly high potential for impact, and thus best suited to an individual with at a minimum 3-5 years of experience and some deep prior expertise in the philanthropic sector.
You will work closely with the Philanthropic Programs Manager in a two-person program team. You will decide collaboratively at the start of your tenure how to divide and/or share responsibilities in the categories below, as well as how to take care of operations and ad hoc tasks and projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Facilitation (~40%)

APPLICATION PROCESS
Our application processes aim to be highly predictive, time-effective, and informative for you. Our process consists only of stages that our best evidence suggests are predictive of success on the job (such as test tasks) rather than more common but less predictive stages (such as cover letters). We only invite candidates to the next stage if we think they have a good chance of passing it, and take care to choose tasks and interview questions that will also give you a good sense of the role and our culture.

About the Role
MSI provides services via our Outreach, Public Sector Strengthening and MSladies channels to underserved and marginalised communities. In MSI we call these “Pillar1, Leave no-one behind channels”. These channels are the core of our high impact delivery (high impact clients, adolescents, those living in poverty).
Specifically, the role is accountable for: 1) engaging and representing MSI in sector dialogue relating to Pillar 1 to contribute to sector learning, influence and impact; 2) development of pillar 1 operational best practices that can be cascaded across MSI countries to further improve impact; 3) developing MSI overarching “Leave no-one behind” strategy and leading testing of new models of service delivery
The Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of MSI and is a member of the Technical Services Team. This role reports to the VP & Director of the Technical Services Department. There is a high level of interaction with MSI’s Executive Team, Regional Directors Fundraising team. It is a full-time role, based out of London or core countries where MSI has an operating entity, with possibility of remote work for exceptional candidates. The Awards Management Unit (AMU)
AMU has responsibility for identifying, securing and managing all funding from government donors for the IRC. AMU is a bridge between donors and the IRC’s work on the ground. The team provides expert technical advice to colleagues delivering our services around the world, ensures consistency and compliance with our donors’ policies and procedures, and manages risk. The unit also supports all IRC staff working on awards from government donors and partnerships.
The Purpose of the Role
The Senior Advisor, FCDO Donor Engagement will lead, guide and coordinate IRC’s funding focused engagement with UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The post holder will provide an internal and external “account management” function to support engagement with these donors. The role is responsible for providing expertise and leadership on donor relations. It will work closely with technical and proposal development teams who will provide the operational BD capacity to secure significant growth in its funding portfolio from the UK Government and to protect IRC’s funding share, through influential engagement around policy shifts, working in close collaboration with Policy & Solutions as well as Advocacy & Influence.
The FCDO Senior Advisor will lead the development and implementation of strategies for proactive donor and partner relationships on behalf of IRC. The role will develop and maintain positive working relationships and standards of collaboration with senior colleagues across the organization, including the Awards Management Unit, International Division (CRRD) and External Relations. The role will also lead FCDO liaison on Business Development with the President’s Office, advising the leadership board on relevant trends in FCDO funding.
Major Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, update and lead a comprehensive UK-focused business development strategy including approaches, tools, and metrics.
- Lead the development and implementation of the UK donor engagement strategy including coordinating actions of relevant stakeholders.
External Representation
- Develop and maintain a network of senior stakeholders within relevant FCDO teams to ensure effective engagement, influence and winning BD approaches.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of donor strategies relevant to IRC’s work, such as funding priorities, geographical interests and political climate, providing analyses and synopses of press releases, policies and other announcements, and disseminating this information internally.
- Map donor organizational structure, identify key contacts and maintain relationship records in IRC’s CRM system.
- Maintain and contribute to the improvement of tools and resources to support donor engagement and relationship building with donors.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Programme Director to lead our Safer Futures team, overseeing a critical funding priority that focuses on improving outcomes for:
1. People leaving prison
2. People exiting the asylum and migration system
3. People who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse
You will play a key role in driving forward our ambitious 2025 strategy, working collaboratively with grantees, partners, and other funders to ensure that our grant-making has the greatest possible impact.
As Programme Director, you will lead a dedicated team and manage an annual budget of approximately £10 million. You will take an externally focused, relational approach, building partnerships and working closely with stakeholders across the sector, including policy makers, researchers, and delivery organisations. You will ensure that our grants are impactful, fair, and aligned with the strategic goals of The Henry Smith Charity.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Significant experience of working in at least one of the following areas:

About the role
We are looking for an Engagement Manager to join our team while our Director of Development is on maternity leave. The person will be responsible for project managing the work of the engagement team. The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is looking to recruit a Communications and Engagement Manager for a Maternity Cover for up to 1 year.
In this role you will have the opportunity to lead processes and activities in support of the design and delivery of the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub’s (UKHIH) global communications and engagement strategy under the direction and guidance of the UKHIH Director.
The role will require you to have strong campaign and project management skills and a passion for driving the conversation around humanitarian research and innovation by delivering integrated multi-channel communications campaigns to engage the key stakeholders and drive impact around our work.
The role also leads UKHIH’s convening work – bringing together stakeholders (e.g., innovators, academics, and humanitarians) through a range of mechanisms to promote and facilitate collaborations that focus on new and improved approaches, processes, and systems that make humanitarian action more effective.
The UKHIH Communications and Engagement Manager will work closely with Elrha’s communications team to align communications as part of a broader organisational development process and strategy, contributing to ongoing communications efforts for both Elrha and UKHIH during a period of strategic change.
