About the role
The Communications and Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing the messaging and digital content of Help Musicians and sister charity, Music Minds Matter.
As a creative thinker, you will support the Communications team and wider organisation to deliver on-message content that connects with audiences. You will help the charities grow by consistently delivering engaging content across various platforms, focusing on on the purpose of the communication and how to achieve it.
With extensive knowledge of how to leverage social media, you will grow the charities’ audiences through innovative and interesting content that meets multiple departmental goals.
About you
As a dynamic and strategic communicator with a passion for driving brand success, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the charity’s voice and impact.
In this role, you’ll implement social media strategies that align with organisational and brand goals. Your management skills will be key as you support and guide the communications team to achieve multiple objectives, set KPIs, and deliver results. You’ll also commission and manage agencies and freelancers, ensuring smooth collaboration and goal achievement.
Your ability to bridge online and offline experiences with data-driven insights is crucial. You will develop and execute integrated strategies across digital and physical platforms. You should be comfortable with written reports, public speaking, and delivering presentations.

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.
Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders

- Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).

You will be responsible for raising awareness of our community fundraising programme and developing a ‘best-in-class’ stewardship programme that builds new and develops existing relationships with supporters, volunteer groups, organisations and partners to maximise income and raise the charity’s profile. You will also lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a stewardship programme that converts interest into support and maximises fundraised income whilst developing lasting relationships.
- Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
- Grow non-monetary donations as part of the community fundraising portfolio of events.
- Support the Head of Fundraising in designing new and developing existing community fundraising opportunities
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
- Record all community and trade income and thank community donors and supporters as per the agreed process.
- Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
- Work with the Fundraising Team and wider organisation to develop an engaging and rewarding volunteering strategy across the charity.

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Events Fundraiser to support the delivery of our annual calendar of events which includes the London Marathon, Swim Serpentine, Action Challenges and our Choose your own Challenge programme.
The Events Fundraiser will be responsible for managing the portfolio of challenge events including the marketing; on the day delivery; first class stewardship and participant support from sign up to event completion and volunteer recruitment and management.
Due to the nature of our work, you will be required to attend some events and meetings throughout our catchment area which can be during weekends, early mornings or evenings.
About you
You will have experience in planning and organising fundraising events (ideally challenge events), customer service and of working as part of a team in an office environment. You will also have an ability to remain calm and focused under pressure to achieve results in a positive and solution focused manner.
