We are looking for a skilled Content Specialist to play a leading role in planning, creating and adapting digital content strategies that amplify Population Matters’ mission. With your innovative approach, you will ensure our campaigns remain timely, impactful and responsive to emerging trends.

About this job
We’re looking for a confident, skilled and personable Digital Project Manager to help us deliver our ambitious roadmap of digital projects.
You’ll lead on the production of digital, creative, UX, campaign and content-based projects. This’ll include everything from leading on the digital and content element of major campaigns and appeals, through to developing new digital and content-based tools to help people live well with MS.

About the role
We’re looking for a Digital Experience Manager with a background in managing and developing websites and digital products, as well as previous experience of line management, to join our friendly and expert Digital Team.
As the Digital Experience Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality, accessible and customer-focused online brand presence by optimising content, journeys and audience experience on our website and other digital platforms. By collaborating with specialists internally and externally across UX, UI, development, SEO, content strategy and content management, you will ensure that the overall digital experience meets brand goals and audience needs by being holistic and engaging and inspiring action.
You will line manage the Developer and Digital Product Officer, providing engaging and motivating leadership, management and personal development support.
You will champion the voices of children and young people with cancer, and their families in everything you do.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Lead on the digital experience strategy for the organisation. Using insight to design, implement, test, measure and optimise as needed.
- Product Ownership of the website experience and content strategy for the site, liaising with internal stakeholders as needed.
- Provide expertise around digital journeys, to continually optimise and improve these, across service delivery and fundraising activities.
- Own the overall roadmap for development on the website and work across teams to support the integration and adoption of third-party digital platforms. Prioritise functionality improvement across the team.
- Establish reporting dashboards and models to use website performance, user insight and other digital and campaign metrics to optimise and develop content and journeys, and to monitor the success of new improvements. P
- Develop our approach to user and audience insight and testing to inform improvements and decision making, use data and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead on SEO, ensure our website content follows SEO best practice, and work on strategies to improve our position in search engine results pages.
- Accessibility – ensure that our website meets accessibility standards both from a functional perspective and content design.
- Collaborate with teams across the charity on digital experience initiatives that align with overall business goals: manage the optimisation of our digital platforms and design customer-centric strategies that improve user experience, increase satisfaction and loyalty.
- Take an active role in developing and embedding new ways of working, establishing relationships with other teams and work alongside the Head of Digital to raise the profile and understanding of the team across the charity.
What do I need?
The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of website management, including managing agency relationships.

About You
We are looking for an experienced digital, data and technology professional who has substantial professional experience in the field. You will have a strong understanding of technology landscape, including data, cyber security, supplier and contract management, web, mobile, applications, collaboration tools, desktop systems, cloud solutions, and devices.

Relevant qualifications in design, development, management, and change methodologies such as PRINCE2, Scrum, ITIL, TOGAF, APM, or similar will be beneficial. It would also be desirable if you have experience in the membership, academic, or health sectors, with an understanding of their structures, governance models, and cultural dynamics.
About the Role
This is the primary role with responsibility for the delivery and assurance of core digital, data, technology, and related functions at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, at both a strategic and implementation level. The post-holder will report to the College’s CEO, sit on the Executive Team, and contribute across the College via staff engagement and through a range of committees and boards, including the Board of Trustees.
Key to the role are three functions:
- Ensuring the security and fitness for purpose of College’s digital, data and technology estate.
- Designing the College’s strategy for digital, data and technology in support of the overall College strategy and overseeing its implementation.
- Unifying all areas of technology responsibility across the College to ensure product development, processes and operations are aligned as a cohesive whole.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure procurement achieves value for money and all expenditure supports the attainment of the College’s strategy and charitable aims, drafting business cases and negotiating and managing contracts as appropriate.
- Lead, motivate, and performance manage the IT Team ensuring that they focus on clear objectives, proactive collaboration across the College and wider sector, and are supported in their work.

We are embarking upon an exciting organisation-wide digital transformation project in 2025 to improve and upgrade the key operating systems we use to support our range of services for children, young people and families, as well as maximising our use of the MS Office 365 environment. This role will be a key figure in the successful delivery of our transformation plans and to have a direct positive benefit on the children and young people we support.
In delivering the role, you will oversee the development and delivery of improved systems; supporting us to define our processes, improve our data quality and ultimately delivering and deploying upgrades which will improve the quality and impact of our work. You will also oversee a programme of digital learning for staff, to improve their confidence and capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the systems upgrade, from preparation to deployment and embedding into operational use, in line with our approved digital roadmap
- Steer projects to success through appropriate decision making
- Develop and manage detailed project plans using our own and other appropriate project management methodology
- Ensure that project delivery and communication plans are inclusive of the wider organisation and service contexts
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, scope and risks; taking appropriate action as needed
