About the role
The Exchange is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Assistant with a flair for customer service, and a passion for plants, craft and people. This is an exciting new opportunity to help support our Retail Manager in establishing The Garden Room as a vibrant, successful and welcoming space for retail, selling homeware and gifts; craft and garden supplies and tools; plants and plant care products; and some fashion, fragrance and cosmetics. Official Job Title: Early Literacy Interventionist
Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to work with children to support and develop their phonics and reading skills?
40% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
We are seeking a part-time Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI), based at Galleywall Primary School in Southwark, South London. This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.
For your caseload of target children, you will conduct an initial baseline assessment and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

As our Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will identify and approach businesses that wish to support a Yorkshire charity and contribute to the advancement of worldwide research to find cures for cancer. You will build strong, ongoing partnerships with businesses and their employees based upon a mutual desire to help each other meet goals and objectives
Supporting the Head of Fundraising, you will develop Yorkshire Cancer Research’s portfolio of business partnerships and deliver exceptional levels of tailored engagement and stewardship.
Specifically, you will:

Build an in-depth knowledge and understanding of businesses motivations and requirements of a charity partner. Translate these insights into compelling and attractive offers for potential charity partners.

Work with colleagues across the charity (e.g. in the marketing and the events teams) to create offers that can be clearly and convincingly presented to businesses (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility fulfilment, charity of the year, employee talks about cancer, team-building fundraising events, support for cancer awareness months and payroll giving).

Oversee the delivery of events and campaigns, ensuring the needs and expectations of businesses are properly understood by internal stakeholders and can be achieved.

Research Yorkshire businesses to identify those (target organisations) that share the charity’s values and ethos, then approach these organisations to develop a pipeline of partners with the potential to form lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.

Meet with leaders of target organisations to listen to what they require of a charity partner and establish whether Yorkshire Cancer Research can fulfil their needs.

Develop high quality proposals and plans to support business partners with activities that will appeal to them based upon their needs and specify the support Yorkshire Cancer Research expects so that the partnership will prove mutually beneficial.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or
proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level.

To have experience of relationship-building, preferably with senior business leaders.

To have experience of planned and delivered activities and events for third parties.

To have experience of working collaboratively and effectively in a matrix-management organisation.

To have experience of listening to customers to understand their pain points and needs and developing manageable and profitable solutions to address their needs.

To have experience of working with databases and CRM platforms (e.g. Access or Raiser’s Edge).

Main duties and responsibilities
Supporter journeys: To provide excellent customer services to Twins Trust’s supporters; develop and implement efficient and effective supporter journeys using our CRM; and find ways to engage new and existing supporters.
Database and donation management: Be the first point of contact for donors/members; Acknowledge and process all donations including Direct Debits processed twice monthly, liaising with the Finance team to reconcile income.
Data management and systems: Ensure that records are accurate and kept up to date on our CRM database, Microsoft Dynamics; capture and analyse data to help inform decisions about donor stewardship.
General Administration: Respond to queries from our supporters; prepare fundraising materials; and, provide support to the wider fundraising team.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.
