Here at Peabody, we have opportunities for two Planning Support Officers to join us on a Permanent and full-time basis at our Pitsea office.

A bit about the role:

As a Planning Support Officer, you will carry out administrative tasks to assist in the delivery of our responsive repairs, and support the PGM planning and operations teams to deliver an effective repairs service.

Some of the key results for the role include: 

• Liaise with residents to make and rearrange appointments and allocate to correct resource.
• Help to identify escalations/risks with ongoing repairs and assist planning team to resolve.
• Assist planning team with booking of supervisor visits to properties. 
• Ensure our customers are regularly and clearly communicated with, kept up to date on progress and their expectations managed.
• Deal with routine enquiries from external agencies, internal customers and stakeholders in a professional manner within pre-agreed departmental and company timeframes.

You will be required to work from our Pitsea office 4 days per week.

About the role

The Exchange is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Assistant with a flair for customer service, and a passion for plants, craft and people. This is an exciting new opportunity to help support our Retail Manager in establishing The Garden Room as a vibrant, successful and welcoming space for retail, selling homeware and gifts; craft and garden supplies and tools; plants and plant care products; and some fashion, fragrance and cosmetics. The Garden Room acts as the main entrance into The Exchange, and so the Sales Assistant will be expected to be able to talk confidently about the wider organisation and its work. The space is also used for workshops, focusing on the interconnection between craft and gardens.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. This role will set the foundations for Women in Prison’s ambitious fundraising plans leading on securing gifts from trusts and foundations and ensuring that all secured grants are well managed and effectively reported on. Official Job Title: Early Literacy Interventionist 

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to work with children to support and develop their phonics and reading skills? 

40% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children. 

We are seeking a part-time Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI), based at Galleywall Primary School in Southwark, South London. This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.

For your caseload of target children, you will conduct an initial baseline assessment and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

The Role 
 
As our Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will identify and approach businesses that wish to support a Yorkshire charity and contribute to the advancement of worldwide research to find cures for cancer. Supporting the Head of Fundraising, you will develop Yorkshire Cancer Research’s portfolio of business partnerships and deliver exceptional levels of tailored engagement and stewardship.

• Build an in-depth knowledge and understanding of businesses motivations and requirements of a charity partner. Translate these insights into compelling and attractive offers for potential charity partners.

• Work with colleagues across the charity (e.g. in the marketing and the events teams) to create offers that can be clearly and convincingly presented to businesses (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility fulfilment, charity of the year, employee talks about cancer, team-building fundraising events, support for cancer awareness months and payroll giving). 

• Oversee the delivery of events and campaigns, ensuring the needs and expectations of businesses are properly understood by internal stakeholders and can be achieved. 

• Research Yorkshire businesses to identify those (target organisations) that share the charity’s values and ethos, then approach these organisations to develop a pipeline of partners with the potential to form lasting, mutually beneficial relationships. 

• Meet with leaders of target organisations to listen to what they require of a charity partner and establish whether Yorkshire Cancer Research can fulfil their needs.  

• Develop high quality proposals and plans to support business partners with activities that will appeal to them based upon their needs and specify the support Yorkshire Cancer Research expects so that the partnership will prove mutually beneficial. 

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or 
  proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level.

About the role

You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role.

Reporting to the Head of Growth & Branding, the Business Development Manager will play an integral role in expanding our reach, focussing on local authorities. 

This person will work to develop and implement an effective growth and development approach that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships and builds lasting networks within the community. The Growth Team is a newly created team at Enable. They will be responsible for accelerating growth and development throughout our services and bringing Enable’s Strategic Plan to life! As a member of the Growth Team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our company, working collaboratively across departments to identify new opportunities, develop solutions, and implement strategic initiatives. Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Developing, executing, and overseeing business development strategies through various local authorities, and seeking out new ways to expand Enable’s reach 
• Identifying gaps and trends in the market, identifying new markets, growth areas, customers, partnerships, as well as new ways of reaching existing markets
• Network with local businesses and stakeholders to build relationships, identify and generate new opportunities and potential growth areas for Enable

Skills and Experience: 

• Proven experience in Business Development and implementing successful growth strategies (preferably within a Not-for-profit environment)
• Varied experience working with local authorities, bringing contacts and connections to this role 
• Confident writing bids and tenders 
• A hunger for identifying new opportunities, and the tenacity to see that through to conversion
• Autonomy to self-motivate, drive change and work collaboratively in line with the Growth & Development Team 
• Ability to engage and liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, internal and external
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and efficient time and workload management

This role will support the Head of Development and Insights and Data manager in ensuring that regular giving and membership administration runs smoothly from the perspective of both external and internal stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities

Supporter journeys: To provide excellent customer services to Twins Trust’s supporters; develop and implement efficient and effective supporter journeys using our CRM; and find ways to engage new and existing supporters.

Database and donation management: Be the first point of contact for donors/members; Acknowledge and process all donations including Direct Debits processed twice monthly, liaising with the Finance team to reconcile income.

Data management and systems: Ensure that records are accurate and kept up to date on our CRM database, Microsoft Dynamics; capture and analyse data to help inform decisions about donor stewardship.

General Administration: Respond to queries from our supporters; prepare fundraising materials; and, provide support to the wider fundraising team.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.

We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.
