What you’ll do:
- Have day-to-day responsibility for administering the accounting system to ensure that the user hierarchy is maintained, new users are set up appropriately and that rights for processing, reporting and workflow are assigned correctly.
- Attend promptly to colleagues’, members’, customers’ and suppliers’ queries.
- Process all invoices and expense claims from receipt to preparation for payment.
- Generate regular payment runs to agreed timetable modifying it as required to accommodate disruptions.
- Distribute all sales ledger invoices as instructed.
- Provide credit control to the business according to finance policies, actively engage with and enter in to and keep records of dialogue for all debtors.
- Ensure all bank reconciliations are performed in a time appropriate manner and to the RCR’s standards.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of using a finance system, payment system and Microsoft applications, including experience of working in nominal, sales and purchase ledgers and cashbook
- Experience of working in a finance team in a similar role
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- An ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines

3. Donor Relationships and Stewardship
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key donors, including major benefactors, grant funders, and parish-level supporters.
- Implement donor stewardship strategies to retain and grow the donor base through regular communication, engagement opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
- Foster a culture of stewardship across the Diocese communicating the difference it makes.

4. Parish Support and Capacity Building

- Support the promotion and coordination of Second Collections across the Diocese for key causes, ensuring that parishes are well-equipped with:
- Clear guidance on collection dates and processes.
- Good-quality promotional materials (posters, leaflets, digital assets) to help communicate the impact of these collections.
- Regular updates on fundraising results to encourage participation and engagement.
5. Compliance, Policy Development, and Governance
- Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Stay up to date with fundraising laws and best practices, ensuring all activities meet Charity Commission, GDPR, and financial regulations.
- Ensure that data protection regulations are upheld in all fundraising activities, particularly regarding donor records and CRM management.
6. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure that fundraising messages align with Diocesan values and the Mission Plan.
- Share compelling impact stories to inspire and encourage giving across the Diocese.
7. Meeting Attendance and Reporting
- Attend meetings of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee, providing updates on fundraising activities and seeking necessary approvals.
- Participate in parish meetings across the Diocese as required, offering fundraising guidance and support.

The café is located in our award winning visitor centre, situated is an ancient landscape alive with nature, history and folklore. Today it is a magical destination visited by people from across the globe, home to the enduring legend of Robin Hood and the famous Major Oak, estimated to be more than 1,000 years old.
We care for over 450 hectares of ancient wood pasture and rolling heathland which is home to thousands of species of bird, insect, mammal, fungi, tree and plant. Wooded for centuries and once part of a vast royal hunting ground, for the 350,000 people who come to visit each year it is an incredible place to visit!
What's the role about?
Supporting the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in the delivery of an exemplar customer experience, maximising income streams and effectively managing costs to deliver optimal net contribution, whilst ensuring a high level of legislative compliance.
Working at Sherwood Forest Reserve, you'll compliment the unique and fascinating visitor experience offer inspiring our visitors to support nature conservation now and in the future. Background Information
The Screen Academy Foundation fundraises for the London Screen Academy (LSA) and the East London Arts & Music (ELAM) - two free-to-attend, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ sixth form academies for 16-19 year olds in London which, combined, are teaching just under 1200 young people every year. With the opportunity to work alongside an inspiring and supportive Board of Trustees from across the Film, TV, Media, and Music industries, this role is within an ambitious and exciting Foundation.
Part of the same multi-academy trust (the Day One Trust), LSA and ELAM were founded by industry leaders from the film and music industries who wanted to address the lack of diversity, inequality of opportunity and serious skills shortage in the creative industries.
LSA and ELAM’s shared mission is to transform and diversify the creative industries by enabling access to all young people, no matter their background, and to develop the most well-rounded, highly skilled workforce possible, which reflects the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of the world we live in. LSA teaches a behind-the-scenes Film & TV programme in Highbury whilst ELAM teaches Music, Games Design and Film & TV in Bromley-by-Bow.

Fundraising for LSA and ELAM
As sixth form academies, the LSA and ELAM receive funding from the Department for Education. However, in order to provide students with world class facilities and equipment, opportunities to engage with industry, arts and culture, and services to support their mental health, the charity needs to raise an additional c. £2.2m each year to supplement the Government funding.
Philanthropy and corporate partnerships are therefore crucial to the success of the Academies. In addition to major donors and trusts & foundations, LSA has developed partnerships with corporations such as NBCUniversal, Netflix and Disney, and ELAM have relationships with Universal Music Group, UTA and PPL.
Purpose of the Role
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in fundraising and gain experience across all areas of the sector. The Fundraising Support Executive will play a critical role in supporting the smooth running of the Foundation, managing essential fundraising administration, working in partnership with the Foundation Director and Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to secure new donors, ensure excellent stewardship for existing donors and event organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Donation Management

Oversee donation processes, including sending thank you letters and monitoring bank accounts, ensuring funds are accurately recorded and allocated to specific programmes.
Fundraising & Donor Support

Assist fundraisers in planning donor and prospect visits.

Support in writing funding proposals (particularly at the £5K-30K level) and donor communications.

Help organise VIP donor events and engagement activities.
Administrative & Operational Support

Maintain and update our Raiser’s Edge CRM database, ensuring accurate and organised records.

Assist in managing invoices and the audit process, ensuring the Foundation operates smoothly.

Organise Board of Trustee meetings, including identifying dates, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Communications & Relationship Management

Draft and proofread donor communications, including thank you letters and impact reports.

Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is bright, organised and resourceful, with a passion for fundraising and the creative industries. The ideal candidate will have:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and confidence to write compelling donor communications.

Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Project management skills and experience working collaboratively across teams.

Experience using a CRM system (such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or a similar CRM database).

We are looking for a number of part-time (up to 14 hours per week) seasonal Visitor Experience Assistants to work with our existing expert groups of volunteer welcomers, guides and shop assistants during peak holiday periods.
This role will involve welcoming people in and inviting them to explore our glorious Cathedral to learn more about the building and its purpose at the same time as developing new skills.
