Lead the review and development of HR policies and processes to ensure that they embody People’s Economy’s values, and support effective working and staff wellbeing, drawing in external expertise as necessary.

Lead the development and implementation of recruitment processes for staff vacancies, ensuring compliance with People’s Economy’s recruitment policy and employment law.

Lead the implementation of formal HR processes e.g. disciplinary processes, contract variations, and act as the key point of contact with People’s Economy’s external HR advisers.

Contribute to the development of organisational culture and values and ensure that they are embedded, promoted and enacted throughout the organisation.

Lead review and development of People’s Economy’s safeguarding policy, processes and practice including staff and trustee training.

Operations

Develop policies, systems and processes to support the effective functioning of the organisation and (with support from the Programme Director) which support the implementation of programme and project delivery.

Develop and maintain People’s Economy’s IT systems, including working with external providers to review IT security.

Lead on regularly reviewing and updating People’s Economy’s remote and hybrid working policies and supporting colleagues to access suitable equipment and workspace to carry out their roles.

Support the Programme Director set up and manage the operation of People’s Economy’s monitoring, evaluation and learning systems and their embedding across the organisation.

Support the Executive Director to implement People’s Economy’s Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Oppression (DIAO) policy and lead the annual process of reviewing and updating the policy, and relevant organisational systems and processes to support the implementation of the policy.
Finance

Lead People’s Economy’s financial management and control, including:

Manage People’s Economy’s book-keeping and payroll providers to ensure that high quality records of income and expenditure are maintained and the smooth operation of supplier payments, invoicing, payroll and pensions contributions.

Oversee the timely production of regular financial reporting including management accounts, cash forecasting and quarterly reporting to the Board. Scrutinise regular finance reports and work to resolve any issues identified.

Liaise with People’s Economy’s accountant and manage the annual process of independent examination and producing year-end reports and accounts.

Lead on financial planning, including the preparation of an annual organisational budget and lead on updating budget information throughout the year.

Create systems and processes to support staff to develop and manage budgets for the programmes and projects that they are leading.

With support from the Executive Director, lead the development of organisational business plans and monitoring of progress against them, including reporting on progress to the Trustee Board.

Lead on maintaining robust and up-to-date information about the organisation’s income pipeline.

Lead on fundraising administration:

Track progress against income targets ensuring information is kept up to date and regularly updating the Executive Director on the position.

Manage funder reporting and invoicing, working closely with colleagues leading funder relationships and with People’s Economy’s book-keeping provider.

Lead on compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including data protection, employment law, health and safety, and charity law.

About the role
We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer, working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and with federation members.The role will be central to the delivery of strategic commitment to work together to record, study, continuously improve and broadcast our collective impact.
It’s an exciting time for the Emmaus Federation as we roll out a new In-Form (salesforce) CRM system and interlinked Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework.
The role will play a crucial part in implementing, gathering feedback and developing new systems and tools to be utilised by Emmaus communities.
The role will be varied in nature, one day might involve conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness, then next providing support to a member of staff to improve a communities MEL practice, the following day might involve analysing a data set and writing a briefing paper.
Who are we looking for?
The Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer will play a key role in supporting the Emmaus federation to understand and demonstrates the impact of our work.
The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical evaluation skills coupled with the people skills to make this work accessible to a range of stakeholders.
They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.

We are seeking a Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) to work mainly on our Research Grant Programme. As part of our Research Funding team, you will support high quality and innovative research on the effects of diet, nutrition, physical activity, and body size on cancer prevention and survival, managing an international portfolio of projects and working closely with leading researchers around the world.
In addition to the Research Grant programme, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other Research Funding activities such as our Academy programme and work closely with colleagues across the Science department and with other departments such as PR & Editorial and Fundraising.
The Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) will work mainly on the post award phase (e.g. active monitoring of funded projects, liaison with our grant holders, supporting our Academy programme initiative and evaluation of the impact of our funded research).
You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional, with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from harm, within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?
Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:
- Responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced corporate partnerships new business expert to join our team.
This pivotal new role will be responsible for securing high-value, seven-figure (financial and non-financial) partnerships with corporate entities that protect and empower refugees globally.
The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of strategic partnership prospecting, manage relationships with key corporate prospects, and line manage a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.
This role is an 18-month fixed-term contract.

- Coordinate market research to identify potential high value, strategic corporate partners that can deliver income, visibility and shared value for UK for UNHCR and UNHCR.

- Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, ensuring full use of senior leadership, technical colleagues and established private sector network.
- Develop unique combined financial and non-financial partnership propositions that lead to transformational partnerships.
- Lead the prospecting cycle: from first meeting, through to opportunity development, through to negotiation and contracting.
- Supervise and mentor a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Philanthropy and Communications, to align partnership efforts with organisational priorities.
- Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities at pace.

The Listening Place offers free, confidential, face-to-face support for people feeling suicidal, provided by highly trained volunteers using active listening skills. Over eight years, the charity has grown rapidly, with now over 800 volunteers delivering up to 150 appointments daily across three sites. TLP receives 750 new referrals every month and will provide support to 8000 people struggling with suicidal feelings this year. This growth, achieved without waiting lists, highlights how TLP balances ambition with a commitment to high-quality, person-centered support. With plans to expand to East London and strong donor and media interest, it’s an exciting time to join this effective, community-led service.

What will you be doing?

Smyth & Co is delighted to be exclusively partnering with Art History Link-Up, a widening participation education charity to find a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role will play a crucial part in the strategic and operational leadership of Art History Link-Up. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, the COO will be responsible for overseeing the charity's day-to-day operations, ensuring that the organisation runs smoothly and efficiently, in addition to supporting capacity build.
This role will involve working closely with the small team of three employees, managing resources, and driving the successful implementation of the strategic plan for growth. The COO will also act as a key support to the Founder and CEO, providing guidance on organisational development and helping to steer the Charity towards its long-term goals.
Some key responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership - Oversee the day-to-day operations of AHLU, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the charity's mission and strategic objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Execution - Work closely with the Founder & CEO to develop and implement the strategic plan for growth
- Financial Management - Oversee the charity's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Support the CEO in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy
- Governance & Compliance - Ensure that AHLU adheres to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, funders and alumni students.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Proven experience in a senior operational role, from within the charity or education sector.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of successfully implementing growth strategies.
- Excellent financial management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a small team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of governance and compliance requirements within the charity sector.
About Art History Link-Up
Art History Link-Up believes that art history shouldn’t belong to the handful of people who currently have the opportunity to study it, unfortunately currently, fewer than 1% of state schools offer History of Art A-level. To address this, AHLU has provided free courses in art history to over 500 students from over 300 schools across the UK. Their alumni are now studying art history at Russell Group universities across the UK, including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and the Courtauld Institute.
We provide free art history courses to under-represented students, providing life-changing opportunities and transforming the future of the arts.

Marketing Officer
c. £30,000 – 35,000 per annum + yearly bonus
Full Time, London based 3 days per week in office
The Talent Set is delighted to be working in partnership with an excellent membership association as they recruit an experienced and proactive Marketing Officer. The Marketing Officer will be a vital member of the Marketing Team. This role involves managing campaigns, communications, and the platforms used to deliver them, with a focus on promoting professional development products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote professional development products and services, including training courses, events, qualifications, apprenticeships, and webinars, to both members and non-members.
- Create and disseminate engaging marketing content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and organisational objectives.
- Manage and optimise promotional channels such as the website (SEO and user journey), email marketing, organic and paid social media (LinkedIn, Facebook), paid search (Google Ads), partnerships, and print/online advertising.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure marketing efforts are integrated with their goals, driving awareness and participation in the offerings.
- Track and report on performance KPIs, providing insights and identifying opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and overall marketing performance.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Engagement department, assist with the organisation and promotion of their events, and offer administrative assistance as required.
Person Specification:
- Passionate and eager to expand marketing expertise, with a proactive approach to learning and developing a diverse set of marketing skills, including digital and traditional methods.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a strong grasp of tailoring messaging to different audiences and utilising design and imagery effectively to enhance marketing content.
- Detail-oriented and consistent, ensuring all marketing materials and communications are of high quality, accurately presented, and aligned with brand standards.
- Proficient in digital tools and platforms, including email marketing systems, website content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM) databases, and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Confident in face-to-face interactions with stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and composure at conferences, exhibitions, and other events while representing the organisation effectively.
