Frazzled is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories.
We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.
As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Fundraising Lead to drive the organisation’s fundraising to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled’s growth and development.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns.
This is an exciting, creative and flexible opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrable successful track record in fundraising, alongside the skills of a talented and persuasive communicator and relationship builder. They will be creative, solution focussed, willing to get stuck in and have good humour.
We would be willing to consider freelancers or contract workers for the right candidate.
MAIN TASKS
Fundraising
- Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships.
- Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations
- Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled’s work and impact
- Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters
- Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships
- Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.
- Lead on Frazzled’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer
- Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders and trustees, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support
- Ensure that Frazzled’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.
Other:
- Work with and support the Project Support and Administrative Officer in relevant fundraising tasks, delegating where appropriate.
- Participation in other projects/initiatives as required as a core member of the management team

Person Specification:
- Proven experience of successfully developing and implementing a fundraising strategy
- A demonstrable track record in writing successful funding applications and securing funds, including multi-year grants, from grant-making organisations
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills demonstrating ability to produce persuasive and compelling copy and content
- A natural relationship builder with ability to influence and negotiate at all levels

The Production Officer will play a crucial role in managing workflow into the Creative, Digital and Comms teams, and coordinating creative projects.
They will be the ultimate super user of our production management tool, Hive. They will set up projects on the system, ensure the smooth running of the system day-to-day, and help trouble shoot any issues that arise. The role will also help ensure that users internally are trained and confident in using the platform.
The Production Officer will also coordinate creative projects, to ensure they are delivered smoothly and on time, as well as supporting with the management of our content and photography library.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support with the day-to-day management of the production tool, Hive. This will include setting up projects, ensuring teams are assigned, keeping the platform up-to-date, and carrying out other administrative tasks crucial for the smooth running of Hive.
· Liaise with Hive to troubleshoot any issues and stay up to date with new features on the platform.
· Be a Hive super champion across the organisation, delivering Hive inductions for new starters.
· Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, supporting teams to brief in work to Brand, Comms and Digital.
· Support the Creative team with the production of projects, including setting timelines, managing workflow and coordinating sign-off.
· Supporting with the management of the content and photography library, ensuring that photographs are correctly uploaded and tagged, with correct consent and removed from the system on the expiry date.
· Carry out additional directorate-wide responsibilities to support the smooth running of the directorate, for example, support with workshops and planning days.
What we are looking for:
· Experience of using a production management tool in a creative or communications environment.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and creativity to deliver an exciting digital, marketing and communications plan, including
Digital Marketing
Create engaging brand social media content and publishing it across our channels, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
Support services, fundraising and retail marketing on social media, including implementing paid-for advertising.
Create and edit photography and video content for our website and social media channels
Create and send out marketing emails using MailChimp and report on their performance.
Monitor responses on our social media channels, ensuring messages and comments are responded to in a timely manner.
Support our WordPress website, including updating pages and uploading posts and stories, and look for opportunities for search engine optimisation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Digital Marketing
A minimum of two years managing social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked in.
A good understanding of GDPR legislation and how it relates to digital marketing.
Demonstratable experience of running a WordPress website, planning and uploading content and monitoring its performance

ROLE PURPOSE
The Community and Events Fundraising Manager will be a vital member of the Mass Fundraising team, responsible for leading activity across Community and Events. They will be instrumental in driving the Community and Events team to achieve our income targets and grow Community & Events from £400,000 to £550,000 over the next five years and by 29/30.
This role will focus on identifying and nurturing impactful fundraising relationships, providing exceptional stewardship and delivering a calendar of community and events fundraising. The ideal candidate will be able to implement effective income growth strategies, particularly in working with local companies and in memory fundraisers. Working with the Mass Fundraising Officer, the postholder will be responsible for marketing our community and events programme to increase the number of people fundraising for St George’s Hospital Charity and ensure the community and events programme provides a positive ROI. They will have a confident knowledge of fundraising regulation and responsible data management to ensure community and events activity is delivered in line with best practice.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning & Delivery
- Develop and implement the community and events fundraising strategy in line with KPIs and budgets set out in the annual business plan and fundraising strategy.
- Lead on the day-to-day management of the community and events fundraising plan to increase net income and supporter numbers.
- Monitor community and events activities to ensure compliance with fundraising guidelines and promote best practice.
Fundraising Development
- Work with the Head of Mass Fundraising to develop the community and events portfolio, including the development of new products, with the aim to achieve significant and sustainable growth of unrestricted income.
- Identify and cultivate relationships in the local community to generate new income from audiences including schools, community groups, local corporates, and mid-high value individual fundraisers.
- Work closely with the communications team to effectively market community and challenge events fundraising to grow supporter numbers and income.

SMART CJS is seeking a skilled and experienced Trusts and Foundations Bid Writer to play a key role in generating income from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of writing successful funding applications and identifying new opportunities that align with SMART’s strategic goals in tackling homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals in Bedford and the surrounding area.
