Having recently won a major national award for Fundraising Team of the Year at the annual Third Sector awards, East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) is now seeking an outstanding income generation leader to help realise it’s ambitions of reaching more children, young people and families across the East Anglian region that need our care.

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Fundraising and Marketing & Communications to join the executive leadership team at EACH. This role offers flexibility to work from any of our three hospices at Milton near Cambridge, The Treehouse in Ipswich and The Nook, near Norwich, combined with hybrid working.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) provides specialist care for babies, children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and supports their families. All three of our hospices are rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

As Director of Fundraising and Marketing & Communications you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of the Marketing and Fundraising annual plan (£7.5m) across all income streams, including major giving, community and events, corporate, trust and foundation teams. This is a critical leadership position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at EACH.

You’ll be leading a talented team of 30, encouraging, empowering and inspiring colleagues to innovate in ways which help us deliver our overall objectives. You’ll underpin this income generation experience with detailed forecasting and activity planning.

Are you:

Highly knowledgeable and experienced in delivering primary income streams with experience of develop income strategies to deliver year on year growth 

Do you have:

• Significant people management skills with experience leading a team of professionals
• Thorough understanding of fundraising, including identification research, solicitation, pitching and account management.
• Knowledge of the scope and content of the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Proven experience of working to and achieving ambitious targets.
• Proven experience of engaging major donors and stewarding high value and influential relationships that deliver significant giving.
• Experience in managing large budgets (£3m +) with strong finance acumen.
• Additional experience in leading Marketing/Communications teams would be desirable

The RSPB, Europe’s leading nature conservation NGO, is seeking a Director of Supporter Fundraising to lead the charity’s work in recruiting and stewarding the next generation of individual supporters to help address the nature and climate emergency.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature, bringing people together who love birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the health and diversity of the natural world. The charity now manages and protects 160,000 hectares of land across the four countries of the UK.

Public support has been at the centre of RSPB’s work since its foundation as a campaigning organisation in 1889. With 1.1 million current members contributing over £95m to the charity’s cause in 2024, the RSPB has set itself a bold ambition to increase supporter numbers and net income from this core area.

Working closely with the Executive Director for Income and Conservation Investment and other senior stakeholders across RSPB, the Director of Supporter Fundraising will ensure that the organisation maintains and increases its income in membership, individual giving, legacies, in memoriam and community fundraising. The role will be responsible for a large team working to develop new strategies and to engage and grow a diverse supporter base, enabling the charity to inspire long-term support and active engagement with their work.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing a large and complex individual giving or subscription programme across multiple products and channels. They will also have demonstrable experience of leading successful organisational transformation to create long-term value, as well as of leading projects within a complex stakeholder or matrix management environment. Significant experience in individual supporter fundraising or consumer marketing through direct marketing techniques will be essential.

As a leader, the successful candidate will have strong collaboration skills with the ability to inspire, develop and motivate teams to achieve challenging goals in a variety of contexts. They will also be able to use their networking and interpersonal skills to build excellent internal and external relationships and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support to women and those assigned female at birth with endometriosis, for example through our website and information leaflets, and via our local support groups, Helpline and online forum. We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America. 

Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

Contract, location and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle. 

You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping over 50,000 young people each year at its 43 learning centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision to 50 centres over the coming years.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Kennington. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

Eligibility for the role

In order to be eligible for the Centre Leader role, applicants will:

• Have completed an undergraduate degree to a 2.2 or higher.
• Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Have EITHER a minimum of 18 months full-time paid experience working in a delivery role at IntoUniversity; OR a minimum of 2 years full-time paid or voluntary experience working with children and young people, either at IntoUniversity, or external organisations, or a combination of both. Please note that we will not take part-time, seasonal or ad-hoc work into account when calculating the length of full-time experience.
• Have the right to work in the UK (please note that as a charity we do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas).
• Be able to apply knowledge of F.E. and H.E. (e.g. UCAS applications) to help young people decide about their futures; and have knowledge of national developments in H.E. and their impact on young people traditionally underrepresented in H.E.
• Have experience of confidently negotiating with a variety of stakeholders, for example: head teachers, funders, universities.

What will my main dutires be?

To lead the staff team at the centre, generating a positive and inclusive working environment and ethos and ensuring that the team are well motivated, are managing their workloads effectively, and are providing a high quality service.

You will initially be involved in the set up of this brand new centre, including developing local school relationships and we anticipate that delivery of the IntoUniversity programmes will begin in the 2024 summer term.

To ensure that the ethos and values of the charity are maintained in the IntoUniversity centre.

We’re looking for an experienced Change Programme Manager to join our Programme Development team on a maternity cover basis. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Programme Development roadmap, ensuring that projects are effectively initiated, scoped and delivered successfully; on time, on budget and to requirements. Are you a storyteller with a keen eye for detail?

We are looking for a creative written communicator with an excellent eye for detail to tell the story of The Listening Place, our volunteers and our visitors.

The Listening Place offers free, confidential, face-to-face support for people feeling suicidal, provided by highly trained volunteers using active listening skills. Over eight years, the charity has grown rapidly, with now over 800 volunteers delivering up to 150 appointments daily across three sites. TLP receives 750 new referrals every month and will provide support to 8000 people struggling with suicidal feelings this year. This growth, achieved without waiting lists, highlights how TLP balances ambition with a commitment to high-quality, person-centered support. With plans to expand to East London and strong donor and media interest, it’s an exciting time to join this effective, community-led service.

This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for giving TLP a voice across external and internal communications. Through dependable, precise and creative communications, you will help TLP meet its three key communication objectives:

• To inspire and retain volunteers and supporters.
• To influence public and stakeholder opinion on how to deliver effective suicide prevention services.
• To help recruit new volunteers.

All your copy should be clear, concise and help deliver against one of these key objectives.

We are seeking an individual with an excellent eye for detail who is a self-starter, able to seek out stories and respond to opportunities as and when they arise. This means over the course of a day you could be covering an event, interviewing a volunteer, setting up targeted paid adverts or responding to messages from supporters.

Your success will be judged on your ability to deliver all communications with a meticulous attention for detail and a clear understanding of TLP’s voice.

Core Responsibilities:

The Communications Coordinator will:

Working under the direction of the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for the development, delivery, analysis and growth of TLP’s communications through effective copy for internal and external stakeholders. This includes:

• Leading on day-to-day account management and content creation for organic and paid activity on TLP social media channels.
• Planning and executing activities for national campaigns including World Suicide Prevention Day and Mental Health Week.
• Working with and supporting teams from across the organisation to execute engaging internal and external communications and digital campaigns including monthly volunteer and supporter newsletters.
• To act as a point of contact for teams for communications related queries, maintaining a good understanding of approaches, channels and technologies in order to do this.
• Recognise, mitigate and appropriately escalate communications related incidents and risks including reputation management, information governance and sensitivity issues.
• Regularly reviewing website content, looking for ways to constantly improve user experience.
• Compiling regular monthly statistics and analytical reports, evaluating our online performance against agreed metrics.
• Ensure all records are held in compliance with GDPR and the Institute of Fundraising policies.

Reporting line

Position

Reporting into the Head of Communications, this is a strategic and hands-on management role responsible for driving ShareAction’s media function and acting as a key business partner for colleagues across the organisation. Using your experience of developing media strategies, you will advise teams on how to enhance ShareAction’s position as a thought leader on responsible investment, support organisational goals to influence decision-makers and engage target audiences and help manage ShareAction’s reputation by advising on risk and mitigation. You will line manage a Media Manager and Senior Media Officer in the UK and provide guidance to a Media Advisor in Brussels to design and deliver high-quality media relations activity and ensure the effective operation of ShareAction’s press office and internal processes, including media monitoring and reporting.

You'll play a key role in the development of campaigns to hold global companies to account for their impact on people and planet and promote research and recommendations to support our vision of a world where responsible investment is the norm. With excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to work collaboratively, supporting colleagues to engage effectively with the media.

This role would suit someone who has outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a flair for breaking down complex issues and the ability to use framing and messaging techniques to produce high-quality content that can resonate with target audiences and inspire action. You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing campaigning environment and have excellent organisational skills to be able to manage multiple projects at once. You might have previous experience developing media activity within a campaigning or advocacy organisation or on social, environmental or financial issues.
