Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking another Lived Experience Support Worker to join our team. You will have lived experience of mental health challenges, as well as experience supporting vulnerable people within a clinical environment and/or managing a vulnerable client cohort caseload.
The role will involve:
- Working alongside a Multi-Disciplinary Team, managing and providing recovery-orientated support to a diverse caseload of clients with mental health diagnoses
- Offering clients tailored, holistic support with empathy and understanding to empower them to develop resilience, a strengthened ability to cope with ongoing challenges, and a more active role in the management of their wellbeing
- Engaging clients in peer support sessions and offering appropriate and holistic advice, information, and signposting and helping them to navigate the support that may be available to them in their local communities.

Purpose
We’re looking for someone who wants to combine their passion for social change with their commitment to digital communications. The person in this role will line manage a small and talented team of two officers (Marketing and Content, and Digital Communications), and should enjoy supporting others to flourish through a kind and relational approach.
Part of a busy department of specialists in communications (including digital and press), public affairs and policy, you will play a critical role in shaping our digital engagement strategy through our website, social media channels and email marketing. We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships.
Job purpose:
- Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.
- Identifying and securing new sponsors and exhibitors for the Chartered Institute’s event business, including one-day conferences, webinars, and Fundraising Convention.
- To identify, secure, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.
Key Accountabilities
- Work and support the Head of Membership Engagement across the following income streams:
- Fundraising Convention: Responsible for the overall management of expo – planning, sales and invoicing;
- Fundraising Convention sponsorship: lead on this and assist the Executive Director when required;
- One-day conference sponsorship and expo: to be partnership lead on day-to-day conference sponsorship sales including print advertising;
- Develop partnership support for the strategic objectives of the Chartered Institute;
- Work with the Membership Team, supporting all areas of membership where required;
- Strategic corporate partnerships: Work with key clients and provide support for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s portfolio of events, including Group events.
Business Development
- To be client-focused and visible in the marketplace with sponsors and supporters.
- To create a plan for growing expo, conference, and corporate supporter revenue.
- To work with the Head of Membership Engagement and Executive Team to highlight potential new partners and create a strategy to increase support from existing customers.
- To work closely with the Professional Development Team to maximise all revenue-generating opportunities.
Financial
- Work closely with the Finance Team to maintain accurate reporting of revenues.
Marketing
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure all commercial opportunities are optimised across all promotional materials.
Administration
- To collate all materials and information from all Fundraising Convention sponsors.
- To manage the Convention expo pack and any administrative requirements of Fundraising Convention exhibitors.
- To attend Fundraising Convention and provide administrative support to all sponsors, exhibitors and partners as required.
- To be responsible for the overall management of the Fundraising Convention exhibition, including planning, sales, and invoicing.
- Any other administrative duties required to deliver the partnership strategy.

Switchboard’s listening service is available to all LGBTQIA+ communities in the UK. It offers a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including topics such as sexuality, gender identity, sexual health, and emotional well-being and more. Handling over 17,000 conversations each year, their services continue to be in high demand, with their network of volunteers offering a vital service to people across the country in times of need, but also proving incredible insights into the issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community the most.
Since 2021 the organisation has been on a journey to establish a staff team to oversee day-to-day operations within the charity. They are now looking to introduce this new role as they grow throughout 2024 to a team of 11.

This position is offered on a full-time, hybrid basis with 2 days working in the London office a week and the remaining flexibly from home.
The role:
This brand-new role sits within the staff team at Switchboard and reports directly to the Head of Volunteering and Training. The post will work closely with key volunteer-led operational teams. As the charity looks to cover its rota more effectively, they are working towards recruiting and training around 100 new volunteers in 2024, taking the total membership to around 350. This number will continue to grow each year, until they are able to handle ALL of the calls, IMs and emails the service receives.
With this in mind, Switchboard wants to ensure they not only retain new volunteers for a number of years, but that each volunteer books regular shifts, are looked after and feel welcomed and an important part of an active, vibrant and inclusive community.
This role reports into the Head of Volunteering and Training and oversees four main areas: volunteer socials, wellbeing initiatives, celebrations and EDI endeavours. This role is key to ensuring the charity retains, nurtures and engages volunteers within Switchboard, and that they create a community of volunteers which reflects the rich diversity of the wider LGBTQIA+ community.
This vital role will entail, delivering a range of in-person and online engagement events throughout the year, managing the Pride activations for 2025 and onwards, overseeing Switchboard’s programme of volunteer celebrations, managing wellbeing initiatives and ensuring Switchboard continues to celebrate being a rich, diverse and inclusive organisation.
The person:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of organising and producing social and professional events of all shapes and sizes. They will have strong exposure to EDI initiatives and will have a natural interest, or actual experience in promoting wellbeing in the work-place.
This person will have outstanding people skills as the soft skill aspects of this role will be absolutely critical to its success. It will be important that this person demonstrates a broad understanding of the issues and challenges people from the LGBTQIA+ community face in their everyday lives. Similarly, this person will need to appreciate that these issues and challenges will also be faced by Switchboard’s community of volunteers as a result.
You will have extensive experience of organising social gatherings in a professional or volunteering setting, both large and small, collating and analysing data to measure effectiveness & impact, managing third party supplier & contractor relationships, in addition to having a collaborative, communicative & empathetic approach to mobilising networks and driving forward levels of customer service and Volunteer experience.
This person will be comfortable with public speaking and engaging audiences, will be highly organised and above all, fully committed to the work of Switchboard, becoming a natural advocate for the organisation both internally and externally as a result. This person will need to be able to manage all in-person events, wherever they are based, so some locational flexibility will be required.

Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants is seeking a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising and Communications. Do you want to help refugees and asylum seekers in London? We are looking for someone who can manage corporate and community fundraising, develop events and write successful funding applications to trusts and other funding sources. We are a small, growing charity, founded in 1997, with an expenditure budget of roughly £570,000 for the year ahead. This year we worked with 200 people offering compassionate, long term and holistic support including: a warm welcoming Centre in Islington; an Online School teaching English and offering activities to promote wellbeing; digital inclusion; grants to people in destitution and our Support Service which offers advocacy and advice to people on accessing housing, healthcare and legal advice.

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. You will be part of a small and highly committed fundraising team of three including the existing Head of Fundraising and Communications, our Fundraising Officer and yourself. This role will focus on corporate, community, and major donor stewardship. Our work is hybrid and the role requires working both at the Centre in Islington and from home. As the Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in supporting some of the most vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in London to rebuild their lives.
