We have over 2,000 volunteers that engage with us and refer to these individuals as ‘Contributors’. The Contributor Officer will be our Volunteer Lead and will work alongside the Head of HR on the engagement, management and retention of volunteers across the organisation. As this is a new role, there is huge scope to think innovatively and apply your expertise to ensure our processes and ways of working deliver real value to the members giving up their time to work with us.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our contributors, ensuring they feel valued and empowered to contribute their expertise. What you’ll do:

• Develop and update an appropriate and consistent recruitment and selection process for Contributor positions, ensuring it provides flexibility to cater to the differing level of roles across the organisation.
• Work with the Marketing and Digital team to build and maintain a dedicated Contributor section of the website, designed to engage our key audiences and provide easy access to engaging information and content.
• Monitor application rates for key Contributor positions, developing our approach to ensure that the opportunities reach a wide range of members.
• Actively lead the RCR’s approach to engaging with Contributors.
• Conduct regular business partnering meetings with RCR staff who have management responsibility for key Contributors, advising on how to manage, support and engage the group.
• Actively input into the development of the RCR’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other relevant systems to ensure there is a single point of truth for all Contributor related data and that important information is recorded in an easy to access way.

Role description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated self-driven, and energetic individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Corporate Fundraising Officer. You will lead on fostering excellent working relationships with potential and existing corporate partners. You will need to work closely with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to shape the plans required for the future.

The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire excellent relationships by increasing charity of the year partnerships and employee fundraising/giving. You will be target driven, proactive, a determined self-starter and thrive on working with a range of partners, encouraging them to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity. 

Main Responsibilities: 

• Proactively source, research and approach new corporates in order to achieve annual income targets with a focus on charity of the year partnerships, payroll giving, employee fundraising/giving, peer to peer initiatives and marketing opportunities. 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities.  

• Devise and implement a long-term corporate fundraising strategy to cultivate and secure significant donations from new and existing supporters. 

• Curate an excellent cultivation and stewardship journey in order to build and strengthen relationships and maximise income to meet agreed income targets.

• Attend and contribute to networking events, whilst actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors.  

• Identify, pursue and make applications to corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships.  

• Develop creative fundraising campaigns and commercial sponsorship opportunities working with the events team to support with event costs.

• Work with the wider charity team to identify networks of prospective corporate partners and plan relationship building as most appropriate. 

• Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up, and ensure records are kept up to date in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. 

• Coordinate and organise corporate volunteering activities for our corporate partners. 

• Organise events for, and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility.  

• Support the fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcase the impact of corporate engagement. 

Other: 

• To keep updated with guidance and best practice from the Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising. 

• Work closely with hospital consultants and other individuals leading on approved projects to ensure a full understanding of the project that can be relayed back to both existing and potential corporate partners.

​Person Specification: 

Knowledge and experience -

• Excellent IT skills including using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as experience of administering and maintaining dedicated supporter CMS databases. 

• Knowledge of a fundraising database and knowledge of fundraising regulations e.g. GDPR (Beacon used). 

• Experience of collaborating with companies to encourage employee fundraising for charities. 

• Ability to effectively work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. 

• Experience of working in corporate fundraising with a proven track record of at least 2 years’ experience. 

Skills, abilities, and behaviours -

• Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000.  

• Confident and skilled in delivering presentations to a diverse range of supporters, whether in groups, individually, in person, or remotely.  

• Proven experience in crafting persuasive cases for support and donor updates that motivate giving.  

• Excellent understanding of CSR, social value and employee engagement. 

• Expertise in building and maintaining strong donor relationships to ensure sustained support.  

• Strong writing skills for creating compelling cases for support and effectively presenting the organisation’s work to potential donors.  

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information.  

• Proficient in using databases for fundraising performance analysis.  

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to motivate and influence people. 

• Ability to build personal, meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers, supporters, and donors.

Home-Start UK is looking for an experienced Trusts & Foundations Officer to join the Trusts and Philanthropy Home-Start UK team. A highly motivated and results-focused fundraiser your role will be pivotal in helping raise funds for our work with parents and children across the UK.

Home-Start UK has a wide portfolio of grant funders, who support our work with grants and donations of around £2m each year. This income funds brilliant projects right across the Home-Start movement, from groups for army families, to volunteer perinatal mental health training, to large-scale initiatives to increase volunteer numbers. Our Trusts and Statutory Income team is central to the delivery and development of great support for families, and for ensuring Home-Start UK has the capacity it needs to deliver high quality services and support to our network. What the job involves

We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.

Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.

Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.

In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed. Experience with online community moderation and staying informed on current web tools and trends will be advantageous as we continuously improve our site.

Alzheimer’s Society is seeking an experienced, proactive, and determined individual with a background in PR (in-house or agency) or journalism, who has a strong news sense and proven track record.

About you

- You will be providing a platform for people affected by dementia to be heard – through engaging media campaigns, sourcing interviews and working with journalists on stories that really matter.
- You will be making a real difference by raising awareness. Whether it’s boosting fundraising totals signing up for events or supporting someone to share their experience so other people living with dementia know they are not alone, and that help is available.
- You have the opportunity and time to develop ideas when leading key projects and campaigns throughout the year, working in collaboration with other teams across the organisation.
- Enhance your skills in multimedia by creating your videos and photos with the equipment provided to build packages of engaging content for regional media.
- Use your expert knowledge and skills to advise on media relations and reputation management and help train and develop spokespeople.
- You will work on varied and interesting campaigns including fundraising, research and influencing dementia support services – enhancing your knowledge and expertise.

We are seeking a Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the charity's communications strategy.

The Head of Communications and Marketing is a strategically important post in the organisation with lead responsibility for overseeing communications, marketing and PR for the UK’s only national cleft lip and palate support charity. The role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications including media relations, digital content and brand strategy. 

The role reports directly to the Chief Executive, is a member of the Senior Management Team and works closely with the CLAPA Board of Trustees to ensure that we maximise all opportunities to promote the work of the charity.  The post holder also has responsibility for the direct line management of the Communications and Marketing team.

At Public Law Project (PLP), we ensure that public law principles, including the rule of law and human rights, are protected and advanced, with the experiences of those most marginalised in society in mind.

PLP plays a leading role fighting some of the most egregious public law violations of our day. We have worked on issues including the prorogation, the Rwanda policy, the attempt to go back on the promises made to the Windrush generation, and the near total collapse of legal aid, and so much more. Yet you may never have heard of us. We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Director to help us change that.  

With a new government in place, this is an exciting time to raise the profile of PLP and our mission. We are developing a new strategy which we expect to crystalise our role countering the rise of the far right, advancing public law into new areas such as preventing Government misuse of AI, and continuing to stand with the most marginalised in society. Your role will be critical in ensuring our voice has impact and we have the resources to implement our strategy. 

You will develop and oversee a new organisational communications plan, focusing on brand-building, and media outreach. Reporting to the CEO directly, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with the Board and other stakeholders to enhance PLP’s impact and reputation, as well as guide and implement our strategy.

Leading the Communications and Engagement team, you will direct all external communications, provide thought leadership for PLP events, oversee grant fundraising efforts and relaunch fundraising from philanthropic individuals. You will be an excellent manager providing empowering leadership for members of your team and maintaining and inclusive work culture that promotes staff wellbeing. You will also be great at working with other departments including our casework, research and policy teams. 

This is a permanent, open to full time and part time applications of at least four days per week. PLP offers flexible working from day one, a wide-ranging wellbeing programme, 25 days annual leave (plus festive period closure), and 10% employer pension after 12 months.

About the role

We’re looking for a senior officer to join our talented and ambitious brand marketing and planning team, to work on our marketing campaigns, to support  the brand strategy. It’s an exciting time to join the team, and Breast Cancer Now, as we invest in and develop our brand to deliver our ambition to be recognised as the place to turn for anything and everything to do with breast cancer. 

You’ll be responsible for growing brand awareness through planning, developing and delivering brand marketing campaigns to reach target audiences.  A key focus of the role will be to manage innovative brand marketing activity to create cut-through and inspire more people to engage with and support our vital work.

You’ll use your skills and experience to project manage marketing campaigns across a full range of paid and owned channels. You’ll collaborate with both in-house and external agencies to develop creative and media plans and monitor and report on campaign performance to drive maximum impact and value from our brand marketing investment.

About you

You’re a passionate marketer, with a can-do attitude and creative mind-set, always determined to deliver the very best. You’ll have excellent experience managing innovative and impact-driven marketing campaigns from start to finish that inspire and engage target audiences.

With experience across a full range of media channels, you’ll have a strong understanding of the creative development, production and media planning processes involved in delivering a multi-channel marketing campaign. As a collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills, you’ll be confident managing external agencies and suppliers, alongside internal stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll be used to working within a fast-paced team with competing deadlines by remaining calm under pressure and prioritising tasks effectively.
