Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a critical role in the organisation, reporting to the Senior Director - Innovation. The role is responsible for the implementation, oversight and continued improvement of the organisation’s security risk management framework and processes.

The Security Manager will support both our own project teams as well as the work we do with partners which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. We also oversee a project providing ad-hoc advice directly to non-violent social movement activists which this role will manage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Videre’s Security Risk Management framework is up to date, efficient and effective.
• Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments (jointly with relevant Managers and Teams) for areas of programme operations, partner locations and other areas of risk.
• Develop and maintain Safety and Security Management Plans and SOPs for projects, and ensure relevant staff are familiar with its contents.
• Develop scenario planning for security and safety risk management.
• Provide proactive safety security management advice, guidance and support.
• As needed, lead the crisis management response when security incidents occur.
• Develop security risk management training resources and deliver them to staff and partners.
• Provide day-to-day Safety and Security Management, and assurance, including: situation monitoring, information sharing and reporting, implementing mitigation measures, reporting, and evaluation.
• Foster a ‘security culture’ within Videre.
• Manage Videre’s contribution to various consortiums.

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Essential

• Professional writing and speaking in either English or French, with at least effective operational efficiency in the other language (B2 or above).
• You will have a proven track record of providing security and protection advice and training to human rights defenders, activists, and local civil society organisations.
• You will have a deep knowledge of security risk management, security in unstable environments, duty of care, protection strategies, shrinking civic space, and state and non-state opponents.
• You will be familiar with the holistic model of security.

Part Time - 21 hours a week, Office based

The Fundraising & Communications Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing Restore’s income and engagement. You will communicate with a broad audience and raise funds through corporate and community relationships, and fundraising events. This role will enable Restore to raise funds to run recovery, coaching, and training services, to support better mental health, tell stories of hope and recovery, and increase awareness in the community to equip individuals and organisations with the knowledge and skills to reduce the associated stigma.

Working closely with colleagues across the Income and Engagement team (I&E) Volunteering team, wider teams, and Restore’s partners, this role requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. About New Beginnings Foundation

The New Beginnings Foundation is a charity that supports families whose children are in the child protection system in the Greater Manchester area. We are not a statutory service and we are more than a parenting programme. We provide a wrap around service that enables parents to understand how past traumatic events have affected their identity, their coping strategies and their parenting skills. 

We recognise that becoming a parent is one of life's most complex challenges. Our aim, therefore, is to support parents in the child protection process to develop the strength, knowledge and power they need to become the parents they want to be so that their children can stay in their care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare. 

The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging.  Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. Role description

We are looking for two self-motivated individuals to lead our programme delivery. One Programme Manager will be based in London with potential travel required across different locations in England, most likely Reading and Birmingham. The other Programme Manager will be based in Reading with potential travel required across different locations in England, most likely London, Birmingham, and the SE of England.

At the forefront of the organisation, you will be responsible for delivering all programmes allocated to you. Working alongside the Director of Programmes, you will be responsible for leading conversations related to retention and expansion of partnerships to drive our mission.

Our programme delivery involves maintaining partnerships with schools and universities, supporting our volunteers to become highly effective coaches, and managing programmes end-to-end from initial planning through to impact evaluation.

As well as delivering programmes in schools, once qualified as a coach, you will have the opportunity to be a professional coach to young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds currently at university or in the early stages of their career. 

You will also be responsible for the retention and renewal of partnerships within the region. You won’t have responsibility for generating new partnerships, but will be expected to support the CEO and Director of Programmes with identifying new opportunities and partners where you can.

The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join an established and well-regarded Gloucestershire disability charity to lead on the delivery of peer led Abuse Awareness, Self-Advocacy and Enablement Training for adults in Gloucestershire with learning disabilities.

Training is delivered through both individual and group training sessions across the county. 

By enabling and empowering Individuals to make decisions and act, the training will support people with a learning disability to develop the skills they need to ensure they are able to safeguard themselves from harm, contribute towards more independent living, and maintain and/or improve their health and wellbeing. 

About You 

You will be a highly motivated and engaging professional, with knowledge and experience in delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions, as well as guaranteeing the quality of delivery by the wider training team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in, knowledge and understanding of the daily challenges faced by adults with a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have a background in training or delivering in an academic environment. Direct experience of working with people with a learning disability is strongly preferred.

To be successful, you will have strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. A proven ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and virtually, is essential. 

Experience delivering programmes related to diversity and inclusion would be beneficial, in addition to a thorough understanding of safeguarding.

What you will be doing: 

• Leading a team to deliver our full range of bespoke training to adults with learning disabilities in Gloucestershire.

• Delivering the Building Circles Training to professionals and peers.

• Providing direction and prioritisation of course content in line with the Service Specification to meet the needs of those referred to the service.

• Working with the trainers and training administrator to recruit and train a team of co-trainers. 

• Ensuring all training is outcome driven and measured against key performance indicators. 

• Ensuring impact is measured and reported on to our Service Contract Managers, CEO and Board of Trustees 

• Closely collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and service providers to ensure timely intervention and support for referred individuals and groups

Duties include: 

Delivery of training to individuals and groups with a learning disability across Gloucestershire. 

Delivery of training to professionals/social workers/teaching staff across Gloucestershire

Staff training to colleagues as required

Building relationships with providers to sustain training year on year 

Recruit and line manage a team of Experts by Experience, providing them with appropriate CPD and ongoing support. 

Ensuring information shared online, social media and on our website is accurate and up to date. 

Delivery of presentations to stakeholders to raise awareness of training. 

Keeping up to date with changes in the law which are communicated via our training.

Collecting, collating, and analysing feedback from sessions in line with the Service Specification. 

Ensuring all feedback and impact data is up to date for reports to Service Contract Managers, Trustees, CEO

Management, including regular supervision sessions, for trainers and co-trainers

Responsible for accurate documentation of all disclosures and safeguarding concerns

Assist CEO with bid writing for training projects

Other duties  

Attendance at Building Circles events

Assisting with other responsibilities and workshops when required 

Key essential criteria 

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and intellectual impairment. 

Team management skills, ideally with a background in learning and development. 

Current knowledge of effective learning and optimal environments for learning.
