We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Growth Marketing Manager to join the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and lead our acquisition and lead generation marketing activity.

In this role, you will:

• Plan and execute lead generating and income growth marketing campaigns and strategies for products and services across the organisation with a particular focus on training products and our sustainable conference, meeting and events venue
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand our products and services and their unique selling points, identify target audiences and understand buying habits to help shape campaigns and messaging
• Support internal stakeholders to achieve their commercial targets, keeping in mind KPIs and ROIs
• Design and implement targeted automated email campaigns, segmenting audiences and nurturing leads
• Manage and allocate campaign budgets, balancing growth and spend
• Devise campaigns that engage and convert by utilising paid search, paid social, display, retargeting and SEO to generate engagement and leads
• Optimise landing pages and user funnels to drive engagement and conversion
• Conduct A/B testing to refine campaigns and messaging
• Forecast, measure and report on campaign performance and ROI
•  Use analytics tools to track key metrics and make data driven decisions
• Craft engaging content for our websites that attracts and converts our target audiences

ABOUT STRENGTH & STEM

Strength & Stem is a charity that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment. We believe that floristry can be used as a practical tool to help modern slavery survivors build a future for themselves, as well as a therapeutic tool in healing from trauma. Over eight months, we run holistic employability and skills training programmes during which participants undertake vocational floristry training, supplementary skills training, mentorship, and work experience.

The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programmes create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community. Ultimately, our programmes help survivors to regain dignity and hope and to move into a life of full independence and freedom.

TERMS

Job title - Finance Manager

Responsible to - CEO

Hours - One day per week (7.5 hours per week). This is a fixed-term role for 12 months. We have a flexible working arrangement, so working hours do not have to be limited to a specific day of the week.

Based - This is a remote role; however, you must have the pre-existing right to work in the UK to be eligible for the position. Some in-person team meetings in central London will be required.

Salary - £35,000 per annum pro rata, equivalent to £7,000 for one day per week

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organisation. As the sole end-to-end finance position within Strength & Stem, the Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial activities, including bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the charity's mission.

Your skills and expertise in successful financial management will enable Strength & Stem to establish a stable financial foundation for the future, allowing our impactful and meaningful work with modern slavery survivors to flourish and grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager to shape and influence the effectiveness and sustainability of a small, ambitious charity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Financial Management:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures with support from the Treasurer.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Perform the month-end process.
• Check employee expense claims and post them for payment.
• Compile bank runs and input them for approval.
• Raise any invoices and monitor late payments.

Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Record and categorise all financial transactions with corresponding receipts in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.

Grant and Fund Management:

• Work closely with the Grants Manager to provide financial information for grant proposals and donor reports.
• Support the Grants Manager to manage grant budgets.
• Monitor and track restricted and unrestricted funds and grants to ensure compliance with donor requirements and complete spending.
• Producing receipts for donors and donor statements as required.
• Running and checking Gift Aid reporting to HMRC.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the CEO and Treasurer to prepare and monitor the charity’s annual budget.
• Provide financial projections and forecasts to aid Board decision-making.
• Track and report on budget variances.
• Assist the CEO with Budget and cashflow reporting.

Financial Reporting:

• Generate regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• With the Treasurer, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Audit and Compliance:

• With the CEO, Treasurer and Company Secretary, ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate the production of the financial statements and act as a point of contact for independent review/audit.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation's operational needs are met.
• Support the Board by making investment recommendations in line with the charity's financial goals.

• A professional accounting qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial management and bookkeeping, preferably in a charity context.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

Action Village India (AVI) is a small UK based organisation that since 1989, has been supporting Indian partner organisations who work alongside villagers in some of the most remote parts of rural India so they can improve their lives, livelihoods and resilience. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Fundraising and Partnerships Manager

Job Purpose: To develop fundraising proposals and raise funds from trusts and foundations. To raise funds for Action Village India through our trading activities and events.

Reports to: Executive Director

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Hours:21 hours per week (equivalent to 3 working days) – ideally including Wednesday and Thursday.

By agreement there is an option to work an additional 11 events days over the full year. This is related to WOMAD and our other events. This is revised annually based on the agreed workplan.

Location:Dalston, London (5 Balls Pond Road, N1 4AX)

Contract: Permanent, pending a successful 6-month probationary period

Annual Leave: 25 days (pro rata)

Pension scheme: Action Village India provides access to an auto-enrolment pension plan through the Pensions Trust for all staff who have completed 6 months of satisfactory service with 3% employer contribution.

FUNDRAISING

1.1 Fundraising Management and Donor Liaison:

• In line with Action Village India’s project funding priorities, research and develop fundraising proposals for new and ongoing projects to be submitted to major donors, trusts and foundations as well as other appropriate sources.
• Keep up to date spreadsheets and databases tracking donor deadlines, the status of applications and reporting deadlines.
• Ensure that material from partners for monitoring reports is developed as needed and work to ensure that reports are submitted as required and to agreed deadlines.
• Support the Executive Director with fundraising and reporting to individuals and trusts.

1.2Events

• Plan and manage, in collaboration with the Action Village India team, the events for the year
• Attend Action Village India fundraising events (evenings and weekends as agreed with the team)
• Attend WOMAD festival and support the Action Village India team with the successful running of the Action Village India stall and presence at the festival.

1.3 Individual Giving

• Planning and delivering our regular appeals and engagement communications.
• Develop new ways to engage our supporters’ base and grow income from Individual Giving products.
• Build engaging journeys to retain existing supporters and develop more supporters.

1.4 Communications and Development Management

• Create communications content that inspires supporter engagement and promotes loyalty.
• Contribute relevant material and content to Action Village India newsletters.
• To design and produce communication materials – Annual Report and Appeals
• Supply project information to support appeals to individual donors, and at public events including WOMAD; co-organise the exhibition at WOMAD.
• Work with partners to generate engaging communications and marketing materials about the progress of their work, including visual content.
• Work with partners to generate material on which to base awareness-raising and educational work in the UK, where appropriate.
• Manage the creation of the organisation’s content, for example, leaflets, webpages and annual reports.
• Work closely with the Communications and Administrative Assistant to support the creation of social media content and other customer relationship material, ensuring this feeds directly into the Communications Strategy.
• Support the Executive Director in monitoring and assisting with formal progress reports to funders, and any other work based on the organisation’s requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Ideal minimum of three years proven experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, events and individual giving.
• Proven experience in writing project proposals and reports for funders.
• Proven success in raising funds from trusts and foundations in the UK, working alone or perhaps as part of a larger fundraising team.
• Experience co-organising events and fundraising activities.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

• Knowledge of Trusts and Foundations and institutional fundraisers particularly in the UK.
• Knowledge of the international solidarity and development landscape and/or familiar with funder processes, databases and requirements.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards in the UK.

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Retail Area Manager to head up a team of Shop Managers to deliver financial excellence in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will nurture a creative shop environment, one where shop teams seek to maximise income in new and innovative ways both within the shop and through new entrepreneurial channels, such as events and community initiatives. 

At Crisis we currently have two Retail Area Managers managing shops across London, you will work together to achieve budget and financial success, along with supporting the shop teams. With the Head of Retail and Acquisition & Assets manager you will support the expansion of new shops across London and have responsibility for the hiring and induction of new teams to run these shops. You will lead and develop your teams to achieve ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in charity and high street retail with experience of leading and motivating a team of Shop Managers across multiple sites. Our Operations Manager is moving on after almost 3 years in post so we are looking for someone to lead our Operations Team at All Saints Church, Ecclesall.

We are a large and busy Church of England parish and are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Operations Manager to join our leadership team.  You will be someone who can oversee all the operational elements with appropriate attention to detail and processes and also take a full part in supporting new developments in line with our vision.

The role requires the oversight of four areas of church operations:

• Administration including finance

• Communications

• Estates

• Governance

You will manage the operations team (6 staff) and work closely with the ministry team, a wider range of active volunteers and users of our halls complex. You will be able to deal with issues sensitively and with an approach appropriate to our Christian faith. The role does include some evening and weekend work but will mainly be carried out during office hours.

A role for a passionate and fun individual with excellent communication skills to work with the wider business to ensure that income and cost of sales are accurate. The Assistant Management Accountant will report across a variety of events, providing management information and budgetary support to department managers. 

This is a full time, permanent post working 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Key duties includes

1.  Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
3. Perform cost analysis and assist in the preparation of cost reports
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts
5. Maintain and update financial databases and systems
6. Monitor and report on departmental expenditure
7. Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in line with policies

You will:

• Be part qualified or working towards either CIMA or ACCA qualifications

• Broad practical experience working on both purchase and sales ledgers

The Conference Centre Manager is responsible for all aspects of City Gates Conference centre operations including booking, quote generation, collecting payments, pre-and post-event inspections, inventory control, final billing, monthly financial reporting, digital marketing, strategic oversight and the use of technology. 

The conference centre manager will also be required to optimise sales and pro-actively grow conference centre businesses working closely with the City Gates leadership to ensure that City Gates priorities and values are maintained.

The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community.  It is a national programme, with 42 regions allocated to have their own projects.  Greater Manchester is one of the ARF regions. 

The ARF has a particular focus on unpaid carers and will see hands-on support provided to delivery partners from the Social Care Institute for Excellence. Crucially, the ARF aims to boost short-term breaks for carers and improve hospital discharge processes. This work is made possible by Department for Health and Social Care grants.

Job Summary 

The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role as the key contact point for Gaddum’s infrastructure support of the GM system. They will work closely alongside our passionate and skilled Greater Manchester colleagues in this transformative journey, taking ownership for the achievement of key project milestones, and will ultimately ensure that the system has the oversight and awareness of risks in order to plan for successful deployment.

Job Purpose 

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will provide expert oversight and support across the ARF projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective delivery. The SPM will, as per their job title, project manage the infrastructure element of the entire GM programme. 

They will coordinate efforts across various sectors, manage stakeholder engagement, and be responsible for the integrated approach to risk management, data governance, and financial oversight. The role is accountable to Gaddum’s CEO, and will report to them.  It is central to ensuring the successful execution of the ARF's vision and objectives. 

Ultimately, the SPM’s goal is to support the system to achieve a consensus on what success looks like for the ARF in GM, and then work alongside the system to enable it to achieve it. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Project Management Expertise: Working to agreed methodologies, provide expert oversight, ensuring all ARF projects are coordinated and integrated effectively across different sectors, with a clear definition of success. 

• Stakeholder Identification and Engagement: Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement, involving adult social care, hospitals, respite providers, carers, and other system partners, adding capacity to pre-existing stakeholder mapping. 

• Collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and forums to coproduce strategies and solutions, ensuring robust involvement of lived experience in the programme. 

• Coproduction: Utilising pre-established coproduction and engagement programmes, ensure lived experience leadership principles are made available, and integrated, into the GM ARF consortium. 

• Oversight of Delivery: Monitor and manage project delivery, maintaining alignment with national evaluation frameworks, and leading on the coproduction approach. 

• Evaluation: Ensure the GM system reaches the ideal level of engagement to ensure regional and national evaluation programmes can properly assess the impact of the ARF across GM.  This will include working alongside the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) on a Theory of Change for the GM system, and working alongside the National Evaluation Panel. 

• Data Systems Integration: Lead the development and integration of data systems, ensuring real-time understanding of needs and outcomes across GM. Facilitate data exchange, ensuring alignment with national standards and compliance with data governance policies.  Act as main point of contact for a “Centralised Data Hub”, paying close attention to barriers and/or compliance requirements, such as interoperability and Information Governance. 

• Budget Management: Support Manchester City Council’s finance team to develop detailed budget plans and forecasts, reporting on the project budget, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and effectively across all project components. 

• Internal partnerships:

• Working closely with Gaddum’s Head of Finance and the lead authority to ensure financial tracking, budget management, and reporting are aligned with project objectives. 

• Ensure seamless partnerships between the ARF system and Gaddum’s commissioned services, working closely with the Head of Operations. 

Other key tasks & responsibilities of the role 

• Line Management: Supervise the Project Administrator, ensuring they provide effective secretariat responsibilities for the consortium. 

• Risk Management: Keep stakeholders well-informed about risks, strategies, and progress.  With the consortium, co-design and manage risk register elements, providing rapid escalation of issues to the CEO and consortium, developing solutions where necessary. 

• Troubleshooting: Take all reasonable steps to enable system partners to identify barriers and develop solutions. 

• Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain ongoing feedback loops, making necessary adjustments to the project’s approach based on stakeholder input and real-world outcomes. 

• Coordination of reporting: Work closely with SCIE and GM ARF stakeholders to ensure data integration and reporting, aligning regional data with national datasets and performance metrics. 

• Contracting and Compliance: Ensure adherence to contracting and compliance requirements, maintaining robust monitoring and reporting systems 

• Systems Change Facilitation: Lead on systems change initiatives, ensuring that all project components are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the ARF programme.

• The post holder will be required to undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by the Programme Management and Senior Management Team, which will usually be commensurate with the skills and experience of the post-holder.

VIDERE

Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a critical role in the organisation, reporting to the Senior Director - Innovation. The role is responsible for the implementation, oversight and continued improvement of the organisation’s security risk management framework and processes.

The Security Manager will support both our own project teams as well as the work we do with partners which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. We also oversee a project providing ad-hoc advice directly to non-violent social movement activists which this role will manage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Videre’s Security Risk Management framework is up to date, efficient and effective.
• Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments (jointly with relevant Managers and Teams) for areas of programme operations, partner locations and other areas of risk.
• Develop and maintain Safety and Security Management Plans and SOPs for projects, and ensure relevant staff are familiar with its contents.
• Develop scenario planning for security and safety risk management.
• Provide proactive safety security management advice, guidance and support.
• As needed, lead the crisis management response when security incidents occur.
• Develop security risk management training resources and deliver them to staff and partners.
• Provide day-to-day Safety and Security Management, and assurance, including: situation monitoring, information sharing and reporting, implementing mitigation measures, reporting, and evaluation.
• Foster a ‘security culture’ within Videre.
• Manage Videre’s contribution to various consortiums.

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
