The Head of Health and Climate will oversee the delivery of these projects through managing a high performing team of project managers and having oversight of budgeting, monitoring and strategic partnerships for all the projects.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
• Handling safeguarding
• Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
• Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
• Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees

Training the Graduate Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

As an expert in people safety and secutrity, you will enable us to serve the persecuted church well, by finding the right balance between keeping our people as safe as we can and still being free to do everything we need to do and go anywhere we need to go as a ministry. 

You will work across the various entities within the organisation, to take a holistic view on advising managers and staff on safety and security. You will analyze and advise on security incidents, enable greater organizational learning and awareness, and help managers and staff to comply with agreed security procedures, while working cross-culturally. Main purpose of the role:

The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service. 

The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty. 

You will deputise for and support the Service Coordinator in leading and managing a community group comprising of a range of services for people with a learning disability and a team of support assistants. 

The Deputy Service Coordinator supports the Service Coordinator in creating Community and leading the service delivery within the group in line with their values and standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].

Key essential criteria:

- Openness to work with, and grow in relationship with, people with and without learning disabilities, and get to know their community life.
- Substantial experience of developing and implementing person centred and self-directed support for people with a learning disability.
- An ability to understand the value of faith based service provision and to articulate it to others outside of the organisation.

- Organisational skills to support the creation and management of service schedules.

Do you have experience working with families and children aged 0-13, a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and a relevant vocational or academic qualification?

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.  Local knowledge of Bromley and Greenwich areas would be an advantage.

You will be delivering practical and emotional support to enhance the life chances of children who have experienced domestic abuse and social isolation through one-to-one support and group work programmes.  The post requires working with families in person and online remote working.  The office base is in Community House, Bromley.

General Duties:

1. To promote the programmes of work and manage the external and internal referral process including the assessment of need, risk and safeguarding concerns.

2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.

3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.

6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.

7. Ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.

We are looking for a Giggle Doctor Programme Administrator to join our busy programme team, to support the day-to-day operations of our Giggle Doctor programme for hospitals.

This is a part-time, one-year contract to support the running of the Giggle Doctor programme while a member of the team is on maternity leave. We are flexible as to which days are worked, providing that the post-holder has a fixed working pattern over a minimum of 3 days per week. Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Administration

· Act as first point of call for artists regarding their visits to hospitals, overseeing sickness, cover and changes to their schedules

· Support artists with hospital administration and contracts

· Keep artists updated with changes in Theodora Children’s Charity’s policies

· Process changes to the Giggle Doctor schedule on our internal systems

· Liaise with hospitals and keep them up to date with information about their programme of Giggle Doctor visits

· Set up meetings with hospitals, artists and Theodora Foundation colleagues as required

· Book long-distance travel and hotels for artists for hospital visits and training events when required

· Support the Finance Manager and Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with collecting and filing timesheets, invoices and receipts for payment

Training and Events

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with events, including booking rooms, resources and catering

· Attend training events for Giggle Doctors, setting up and packing down as needed

Impact and Programme Monitoring

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with monitoring Trainee and Junior Giggle Doctor’s progress and keeping records of their observation notes

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with data capture and record keeping

· Take minutes and record actions during Programme Team meetings, Theodora Foundation meetings and office team meetings from time to time

• Utilise the charity’s CRM database to keep all records up to date and effectively progress supporter development.

HR and Safeguarding

· Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead and follow safeguarding processes for recording safeguarding incidents in the Designated Safeguarding Lead’s absence.

• Run DBS checks for artists when required using the external Ucheck platform

Other

• Represent the charity at external functions and conferences.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably requested from Programme Manager from time to time

Role Outline and Purpose

On behalf of the trustees and accountable to them for providing strategic direction and day to day team leadership, management and coordination of the foodbank. 

This will be achieved by leading by example in upholding our values, ethos and culture by motivating and enabling staff and our wonderful volunteers, along with the Churches and others as strategic partners in successfully implementing the strategy to achieve our vision.

The role also entails leadership with building high-performing partnerships with all those able and willing to support the vision to end the need for foodbanks in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

·To develop and deliver Greenwich Foodbank’s strategic vision as a pathfinding foodbank working to eliminate food poverty in the borough and ensuring alignment with our vision, values and strategy

• Significant proven record of achievement in a senior position within a charity/not for profit organisation.

EU Campaigner

Position Objective:

To plan and execute campaign actions across Europe to ensure the success of PETA’s anti-bullfighting campaign, with a focus on successfully ending the Catholic Church’s support of bullfighting.

Location:

Remote in Rome, Italy (preferred). Other locations in Italy, France, or Spain may be considered.

Campaign Manager, Animals in Entertainment

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conceive of, organise, and oversee disruptions, demonstrations, and other campaign projects
• Recruit and liaise with activists in Europe, with the aim of building relationships with and a network of key activists, and enlist their assistance when needed to deliver on campaign goals
• Stay informed of significant events and decision-makers within the Catholic Church and identify opportunities to advance the anti-bullfighting message
• Coordinate projects for PETA’s anti-bullfighting campaign, including producing new content, conducting research, and writing letters
• Work with the PETA US production team to create and redesign posters, banners, literature, and other outreach materials as needed
• Act as a spokesperson, representing the organisation at public-speaking engagements, in debates, and to the media and general public
• Maintain the volunteer and activist database
• Travel when necessary to help with demonstrations, tabling, and other events or hold such events independently when requested
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish, Italian, or French desirable
• Activist experience required
• Experience working on campaigns preferred
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA’s campaigns
