JOB DESCRIPTION
Also known as a Family Activities Coordinator you will work as part of the Family Activities Team to ensure the success, enjoyment and safety of the Family Days, Referred Children’s Groups, Siblings Groups and Parent Groups (together, referred to as Family Activities) within The Ark and out in the Community. Events organisation and working with volunteers are fundamental aspects of this role.

You will be an enthusiastic individual with experience with children and young people. You will have organised events, as well as group work with adults and/or young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as well as being able to prioritise effectively with your great time management and organisation skills. You will amplify young women’s voices and create a non-judgemental and creative space where survivors are free to be their authentic selves, safely explore their rights, options and impact of their experiences, and make informed choices about their future. You will manage a caseload of young women, as well as lead in delivering our one-off drop-in specialist practical support to sessions to young women as part of the Voice and Choice Project.

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager to join our Regional Fundraising team.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
South & West Yorkshire is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Sheffield and Leeds hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

- You will be excited to use your public affairs and campaigns skills to improve care and support for young people facing cancer across the UK
- A passion for current affairs and a keenness to build impactful public affairs relationships that lead to change for young people with cancer
- Keen to keep young people at the heart of our influencing work, considering how they can be meaningfully involved at each stage

Support the Programme Manager to oversee effective and consistent delivery, performance, and quality assurance across the health settings, working with the Director of Services and other leaders to enhance and develop the offer. Lead Redthread teams delivering services, ensuring that Redthread’s models of intervention are delivered consistently and appropriately to all young people accessing the services.

When someone sustains a spinal cord injury, it is a life changing experience.
Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, major trauma centres and hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.
As a Regional Coordinator, you will build relationships and take ownership for what happens in your geographical area. Whether it be providing peer support to newly injured people in a clinical setting, facilitating wheelchair skills sessions, making referrals for ongoing support or supporting volunteers and fundraisers – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.
