We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. Stoll is the lead provider of housing and support services in the Veterans sector. Founded in 1916, Stoll has provided a sanctuary to help Veterans rebuild their lives for over 100 years. Key Fundraising Responsibilities
- Develop communications content that will invigorate our existing donors and inspire new ones leading to increased giving by individuals to IPWSO.

You will be responsible for overseeing Dalgarno Trust’s Programmes, and line managing our Community Champions Manager, Health Works Manager, Foodbank, Volunteer and Room Bookings Manager and Youth Programme Manager.
Purpose of the job:
- To maintain effective oversight of the delivery of a range of projects and programmes being managed by designated managers.
- To ensure performance management expectations are being met by each project and programme and reported to appropriate funders, including internal and external stakeholders.
- To provide leadership and direction to project and programme managers and work with other senior members of staff to achieve organisational goals.
Duties and responsibilities:
Service delivery management
- To keep abreast of key performance indicators expected to be measured and evidenced for each of the projects and programmes and keep under constant review the need for adjustments in processes to be able to achieve expected performance.
- To use Salesforce for monitoring and evaluating project outputs, outcomes, and impact for reporting to funders, including internal and external stakeholders.

Who you are
We need energised, self-starters who are passionate about helping others, to join our fantastic team.
We are looking for people who have a background in providing emotional support and practical research and advocacy for vulnerable people after a serious psychological trauma such as the death of a loved one in violent circumstances.
Specifically we are seeking candidates with:

experience of frontline care for people in crisis with acute vulnerabilities and risks (desirable but not essential)

comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system (desirable but not essential)

research and advocacy skills – you get crucial things done through liaison with external agencies

significant resilience, and willingness to be professionally developed and clinically supervised

a full UK driving licence, with access to your own transport and are willing to use it for work purposes (we reimburse travelling expenses).
Candidates must be able to speak Welsh. You will be expected to support families who are first language Welsh.

How would you contribute to Cycle Sisters’ mission?
Cycle Sisters has grown hugely over the past few years, with an expanded range of programmes and activity. We are keen to continue this journey of growth and have just finalised a new strategy for 2024-2027 which prioritises reaching more women and girls, and ensuring our financial sustainability.
The Fundraising Lead will play a critical role in supporting our ‘sustainability' strategic priority to ensure Cycle Sisters can access the resources it needs to keep making a difference. This post-holder will lead on growing Cycle Sisters’ unrestricted income, with a focus on community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
The post-holder will need to be an excellent networker, confident in representing the organisation externally and able to motivate a range of stakeholders to financially support Cycle Sisters’ work.
What would you be doing?
Below is a list of responsibilities which provide a broad outline of the role. This is not an exhaustive list as Cycle Sisters is a small team which requires flexibility.
This is a new part-time role and we will work with the successful candidate to develop a workplan which is realistic within the hours available. There will also be support from other team members on some of the areas of work.

Ensure all fundraising initiatives are properly planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated. All activities should be conducted in adherence to best practice, Cycle Sisters’ ethical policy and charity law.

The Director of Finance role presents an exciting opportunity to manage and create a finance team that will support the Anglican Communion, whilst also being a key member of the senior management team. The role:
- Lead on the development and execution of financial strategy, financial planning, budgeting and cost control for the ACO and related charities.

The charity, established almost thirty years ago to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.04m and 41 staff in 2023/24.
