Summary of Role
We are looking for someone to join Choose Love who has demonstrable experience in designing, setting up and maintaining a user-friendly and efficient supporter database and who has a deep commitment to positively impacting the lives of displaced people around the world. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical skills and be passionate about understanding trends and patterns from our donations, which can help us increase our fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection, Management and Analysis:

Maintain and oversee all Choose Love data, ensuring all data is accurate, up-to-date and clean.
-
Work with the digital strategist and head of communications to scope and assess the most effective and efficient ways for Choose Love to collect, process, analyse, and report on data, feeding it into the mid and long-term strategy.

Work closely with external suppliers, leading on data management and systems.
-
Support finance team and digital strategist in tracking donations to key fundraising appeals, including emergency fundraisers and winter fundraising campaigns.
-
Manage data flows across our different platforms and support the implementation of automation processes where appropriate.

Work closely with departments across the organisations, specifically Comms & Marketing, Partnerships and Programmes and respond to internal requests for fundraising data analysis and reporting.

Create monthly reports on fundraising performance across comms activities to share with the team and embed best practices in future fundraising content.
Fundraising and Donor Optimisation:

Work with digital strategists to optimise fundraising communications and reporting.

Integrate data analysis into digital fundraising strategy.

Analyse the performance of fundraising campaigns and recommend improvements.

Segment audiences for fundraising campaigns based on various criteria (e.g., donation history, demographics) through managing datasets.

Develop predictive models to forecast future donations and help identify potential major donors.

Use data to tell compelling stories that resonate with donors, supporters, and the public.
Continuous Learning and Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with data analytics tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute effectively.

Ensure that data handling practices comply with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)

Be mindful of ethical issues related to data usage, especially when dealing with sensitive information about displaced people.
Essential Criteria:

Extensive experience with different database systems and knowledge of data maintenance

Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an advanced level

Proficient in data analysis tools with extensive experience of cleaning, manipulating, and analysing data effectively

Understanding of statistical concepts to draw meaningful insights from data and to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and support programs

Experience creating clear and informative data visualisations (e.g., graphs, charts, dashboards)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with team members

Ability to identify problems, design analytical approaches, and propose solutions to enhance fundraising and support efforts

Project management skills to plan and prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure the successful execution of data analysis projects

The Role
As our Individual Giving Officer, you will help to develop and implement the charity’s individual giving strategy.
Supporting the Individual Giving Manager, you will be the main point of contact and manage the day-to-day relationships with external face-to-face fundraising partners, who represent Yorkshire Cancer Research at private sites (e.g. supermarkets) and by going door-to-door to raise awareness of the work of the charity and encourage individuals to make regular gifts. You will be involved in all aspects of building and maintaining fundraising partner relationships.
Specifically, you will:
Support the charity’s face-to-face fundraising activities:

Work with the Marketing Team and face-to-face partners to build a range of marketing propositions that create memorable conversations and increase the likelihood of individuals deciding to sign up to give a regular donation.

Co-ordinate and facilitate training and engagement activity for new and current face-to-face fundraisers to keep them informed of and inspired by the latest developments at the charity.

Ensure face-to-face fundraisers have appropriate collateral and that all equipment and materials are kept up to date and are engaging for potential supporters.

Ensure face-to-face fundraisers represent Yorkshire Cancer Research in a way that aligns with the charity’s brand values and key messages.
Create campaigns, supporter journeys and develop onward stewardship:

With the support of the Individual Giving Manager, lead individual giving fundraising campaigns and help to develop new campaign propositions that will attract and retain supporters.

Work with the Individual Giving Manager and Supporter Engagement Team to develop and implement supporter journeys from beginning to end for newly acquired regular donors and other key supporter groups, aiming to increase levels of affinity with the charity and encourage life-time commitment.

In conjunction with the Supporter Engagement Team, regularly review fulfilment communications to all our individual giving supporters, ensuring they are compelling, accurate and fit for purpose.
Be responsible for data management and reporting:

Analyse campaigns and activity, including monthly reviews of key performance indicators, to provide insights and inform future decisions.

Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to maintain accurate records, for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes to ensure the effective management of all individual giving activities.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level.

To have experience of individual giving and/or new donor acquisition within the charity sector or similar customer service experience in another sector.

To have experience of campaign management including creating schedules, data management, creating briefing documents, budget management, analysing and reporting on results.

To have experience of having used insight to inform decision-making.

To have experience of working with databases and CRM platforms (e.g. Access or Raiser’s Edge).

To have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.

To be happy to work independently and to ask for support where this is needed. Also likes to work with, and support, colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal.

About Us

St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, and became the first hospice of the modern hospice movement. We provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.
Your new role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident “people person” with excellent organisational skills who is committed to providing first class supporter care. Essentially, you will have experience in legacy fundraising and/or the administration of legacies – and be willing to become an expert in both.
A passion for hospice care and a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships is also key to this role.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- This role is required to lead, plan, develop and deliver the legacy fundraising strategy in line with agreed targets within the fundraising team.
- To build, manage and nurture relationships with supporters and potential legators.
- To create a sustainable legacy pipeline for St Christopher’s and to ensure that legacy increases and continues to be the lifeblood of our voluntary income.
- Managing the Legacy Administration Officer and overseeing all legacy administration activity to optimise legacy income and ensure all gifts in wills left to the hospice are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and internal practises and maximise legacy income for the hospice.

About the organisation
2024 marks a hugely important milestone for the Latymer Foundation - its their 400th anniversary!
The Latymer Foundation at Hammersmith was established in 1624 by Edward Latymer, a lawyer and local landowner, with the aim of offering financial support to eight children living in the area, providing them with clothes and giving them an education. An education which would not otherwise have been possible for them to access.
Today, the Foundation runs Latymer Upper and Prep School and one of its main aims is to provide bursaries (financial support for school fees) to as many local children as possible, ensuring that any promising and talented child can access a first-class Latymer education, regardless of their family's financial situation.
As of September 2023, the Foundation is supporting bursaries for 1 in every 5 students at Latymer Upper School, and is aiming to increase this to 1 in 4 students by 2024.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fundraising Manager is a key member of a sector leading development team. Latymer's bursary programme is one of the most successful in any UK independent school. Since 2002, the number of pupils receiving means tested support has grown from just 7 to more than 280 as of September 2023, the majority of whom receive between 75-100% fee remission.
This growth has only been possible thanks to philanthropy through the Latymer community: parents, alumni, Governors, staff, and students.
The Fundraising Manager is at the heart of the community fundraising, focussing on the full cycle of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the strategy and tactics to increase giving and participation in support of our annual bursaries appeals (including Upper School and Prep) using a range of channels and touchpoints (e.g. DM, digital, phone campaign, events, face to face)
* Design the stewardship matrix and tactics to thank our supporters and develop compelling content that surprises and delights our donors, including events and the delivery of our annual campaign impact report, Campaign Review
* Provide a supporter experience that increases conversion and retention and builds long-term commitment to the Foundation, especially important this year as we celebrate Inspiring Minds and start to focus on future campaigns
* Develop case studies to illustrate the impact of donations across communications and devise ways to increase opportunities to see these stories
* Utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate appeal/activity performance and inform future tactics
* Manage the process of researching potential donors and other potential supporters of the Foundation
* Manage portfolio of leadership giving donors to make individual approaches to mid-level donors in support of the Bursaries Appeal
* Work closely with the Bursaries Appeal volunteers to raise awareness of the bursaries
* programme and increase giving particularly amongst current parents
* Oversee the student-led bursaries fundraising Club (RAISE)
* Prepare the annual budget proposal for all fundraising appeals for submission to the
Director of Development, focussing on ROI for fundraising channels
* Manage the Fundraising Assistant ensuring they have the direction and resources to be successful in their role

The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations. The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.
As the portfolio is mixed in its development, it is important that this post holder can work with tenacity and resilience in an ever evolving landscape of relationships and opportunities, in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Fundraising. The successful candidate must have a positive, pro-active, donor-centric approach to relationship fundraising and demonstrate proven success at securing major gift support from individuals and family trusts/foundations. Alongside excellent relationship and communication skills, candidates must be confident, resourceful and proactive, with initiative and a problem-solving disposition.

The Role
The role aims to drive and implement ambitious fundraising strategy to support the work of Queen Square. The Individual Giving Manager will shape and deliver the complete experience for new and existing supporters, lead marketing and communications efforts, and oversee Legacy giving.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement
- Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters
- Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing
- Co-ordinate all communications and messaging targeted at existing supporters
- Measure performance against campaigns and appeals
- Lead on marketing and communications around Legacy giving

The Role
The Individual Giving Manager will play a vital role in fundraising activities to support our mission of providing care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As the Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage individual donors and supporters, cultivating meaningful relationships, and maximising their financial contributions.
At Haven House the focus within the Income Generation and Marketing Team is to put the supporter and donor at the centre of everything we do, ensuring they feel inspired by our work and the children and families we support; engaged and committed to our cause and ultimately make a commitment to do something amazing.
Responsibilities:
- To create and execute strategies to cultivate and grow individual giving income, including donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship programmes.
- To build strong relationships with individual donors and prospects through personalised communication, engagement events, and donor recognition initiatives.
- To coordinate all aspects of direct mail appeals and online fundraising to maximise donor engagement and revenue generation.
- To utilise Raiser's Edge database to track donor interactions, segment audiences, and analyse fundraising performance to inform decision-making.
- To oversee all income processing; some processes are the responsibility of the Individual Giving Manager, others are carried out by the Database Manager and the Community & Events team.
- To work closely with the Digital Fundraising Manager and Marketing team to develop campaign objectives, messaging, stewardship plans and marketing strategies.
- To set up and undertake monitoring and evaluation reporting to assess campaign performance against agreed objectives and ensure these insights inform future decision making.
- To lead on the Local Hospice Lottery, including strategic aspects of the Lottery to drive the growth of membership, monitoring membership progress and trends, and to resolve issues with the general public with regards to complaints
