The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) serves, engages and works in partnership with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, donors, global partners, organisations and the wider community to further the strategic aims of the School. These reciprocal relationships increase engagement with LSE across the world and increase philanthropic income and strategic partnerships for agreed School priorities.
The Business and Office Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive business management for PAGE, covering business support and office management for the growing team of over 100 staff. The post holder will be responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the division, ensuring that internal operational needs are fulfilled, and that the office environment is welcoming and professional. The postholder will be required to quickly build effective working relationships with the central IT and Estates teams and ensuring that the division work within established LSE policies. This is an office-based role with the possibility of working one day a week from home, depending on business needs and only if agreed upon with the line manager.

· Experience of managing an office and/or facilities management in a large complex organization.

About APPEER
Appeer is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to deliver services that support autistic girls and women (and those assigned female at birth) to connect with peers, to develop their life/work skills and to support their wellbeing. Over the past 5 years our founder and current CEO has taken the vision of creating a community where autistic girls and women can connect from a small, passionate team into a robust and impactful organisation.
We provide In Person and Online Activity groups and programmes, Alternative Provision, events and resources for those in the community that we serve, their parents/carers and other professionals. We are not a therapeutic setting and as such do not offer clinical support or 1:1 supervision.
We were established in 2019 and have since grown rapidly from a small startup to a robust small-medium enterprise with a turnover of £250k and serving over 400 beneficiaries a year.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for pro-actively generating new business enquiries and opportunities for Cumberland Lodge, with the objective of maximising occupancy and income within the charitable and operational policies we work to.
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
Working closely with: Meeting & Events Manager, Hospitality Director, Communications & Engagement team
Strategic planning and execution
- Develop and implement the business development and marketing strategy aligned with our organisational goals.
- Lead the creation of multi-channel marketing plans to drive lead generation, and client acquisition.
- Oversee the delivery of venue marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional channels.
Market awareness
- Analyse data and insights to inform marketing strategies and campaign adjustments.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Undertake regular benchmarking of Cumberland Lodge’s conference facilities, services and charges against local competitors, identifying market trends, opportunities, and competitive rates.
Lead generation and client acquisition
- Develop strategies to generate high-quality leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential new clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships to expand the client base.
Event promotion and coordination

Due to their ongoing growth plans they are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their organisation. This role is responsible for supporting effective financial management and reporting for projects and budget holders based within the Academy’s Finance Team. You will spend the majority of your time interacting with programme managers and budget holders to support on budgeting, forecasting, analysis of budget variances and provide regular finance reports to them, including monthly management accounts to ensure financial control and effective decision making
Key areas of responsibility:
- Lead on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process including preparing budget templates for completion by budget holders, summaries of submissions for review and scrutiny and reconciliations of departmental budget submissions from draft to final.
- Work with Head of Finance to finalise the Academy budget for presenting to Director of Finance & Resources and the senior management team.
- Ensure that finalised forecasts and budgets are accurately imported into the accounting system and a full audit trail is maintained.
- Assist the Head of Finance and senior management team with the preparation of multi-year forecasts and models for bids and scenario planning.
- Working closely with budget holders, act as finance business partner and critical friend by challenging assumptions and broadening their financial thinking in order to objectively assess risk and ensure consistency across teams with financial inter-dependencies.
- Providing adhoc advice to budget holders and programme managers on financial matters and contract agreements.
- Monitor expenditure on restricted funded projects to ensure compliance with terms of funding arrangements, manage grant claims and income and expenditure recognition, and discuss any over/under spending with budget holders and flag to Head of Finance as appropriate.

Background:
Due to significant losses during the Covid pandemic, a Club appeal for donations was launched in 2020. The Friends of the RAF Club was established in 2021 to recognize these generous Members, many of whom have maintained their donations which have subsequently funded key refurbishment projects in the Club. Support of The Friends contributes significantly to the Club’s financial recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Fundraising will be expected to deliver in 3 key areas:
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEMBERSHIP GIVING JOURNEY
- Enhance the Friends Scheme through life giving and particularly ending with the Legacy commitment:
- Review and manage the fundraising strategy
- Retain, recruit and steward the Friends of the RAF Club
- Devise and implement a legacy strategy
- Devise and implement a series of engagement and stewardship events for the Friends of the RAF Club
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS
- Deliver the funding to help pay for capital projects within the Club:
- In liaison with the House Committee, devise and manage the 2025 appeal campaign to fund the refurbishment of The Running Horse Tavern (the Club’s onsite ‘pub’)
DELIVERY OF ASSOCIATED ADMINISTRATION
- In compliance with the Fundraising Code, GDPR and all other associated regulations:
- Run Friends and Legacy schemes

Join a team setting up our Community Climate Fund (CCF), that aims to raise £100m and be actively supporting community climate action in 25 places across the UK by 2030. This is an exciting opportunity to identify and deliver a plan in a place (e.g. Salford, an area in Manchester, Warrington or Wigan) to have a positive social, environmental and economic impact for the communities there.
The Community Climate Fund Senior Lead, will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the fund in the vicinity of the M62 corridor and will:

- Identifying and developing our next place in the North West of England to operationalize our Community Climate Fund.
