Who we are: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is a well-established, innovative and forward-thinking local domestic abuse service. About the role: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is recruiting a Senior Fundraising Officer, with experience of working within community fundraising, trusts and foundations, or statutory funding. Working alongside the Fundraising Assistant and reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing winning bids and nurturing relationships with funders, to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
Hours: This is a part-time post 14 hrs per week. This can be split over 2 or 3 days but should include Monday. Hybrid working with at least one day per week at BCWA head office in London SE20.

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. York Minster Fund (YMF) is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work.
As we continue our ongoing work to care for the fabric and repair and training needs of York Minster as well as increasing our strategic grants and bids, we are seeking an experienced fundraiser to support our work. This new member of our team will create compelling, well researched approaches and updates across Trust and Foundation, statutory and major donor audiences.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will be a passionate and experienced funding specialist, with experience in institutional funding and a very good knowledge of our key donors’ requirements (FCDO).

About the role
The Senior Programme Development Specialist will work on complex and major bids, often on multimillion pound consortia, commercial contracts and multi-country partnerships. Taking a high degree of responsibility for programme funding processes from scoping and positioning CIUK for new funding opportunities, to facilitating the programme design and developing successful bids. This includes independently negotiating the scope of work and budget with internal and external partners (potential primes and subs).

The key purpose of the Restoring the Soar – Engagement Coordinator post is to work closely with the Restoring the Soar partners, local communities and stakeholders and run ‘test & trial’ pilot activities to inform the creation of the wider delivery bid. This role is recruited as a part-time or full-time fixed-term contract (minimum 0.5 FTE) of 15 months with the opportunity of extension of the contract at the end of this term depending on funding. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. As Canal & River Trust do not have an office in Leicester, a shared workspace at Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust will be available. Much of the work will take place in local community settings.

Work experience:
• Experience of working within a community setting
• Experience of delivering community and volunteering projects with a heritage, environment, health & wellbeing and/or arts focus.
• Proven ability to be able to build strong relationships and collaborate with partner organisations, communities and key stakeholders to delivery mutual benefits and co-designed projects and programmes
• Experience of sourcing and coordinating social action/volunteer projects
• Experience of project management, delivery, reporting and evaluation
• Comprehensive working knowledge of issues relating to working with young people or vulnerable people including safeguarding
• Experience of working within the Third Sector/Voluntary organisations is desirable
Skills:

The Role

Role Summary
- Manage and increase income from various funding streams, including philanthropic entities, corporations and trusts
- Operate with significant independence to meet income targets aligned with The Economist Educational Foundation’s fundraising strategy
- Identify and secure new fundraising opportunities and engage new donors
- Launch and evaluate pilot projects to determine fundraising effectiveness
- Maintain and enhance existing donor relationships and manage a diverse portfolio of funding bids, including substantial grants
Reports to: Director of Fundraising and Partnerships
Hours: Full time (40 hours) with flexible working. Core hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Hybrid. Central London on Wednesdays and Thursdays, remote working on other days
Salary: £44,000-£48,000 per annum
