Post Award Manager

The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

About the role
Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.
In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years.
Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
- Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
- Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
- Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
- Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
- Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.

The SS Great Britian Trust is seeking a12-month, maternity cover, Development Manager to play a key role in maximising income for the SS Great Britain Trust through Corporate, Trust and individual fundraising. It's a really exciting time at the Trust as we are fundraising for a significant capital project, in addition to an award-winning education programme. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
This new role will play a key part in ensuring strong financial management of the organisation’s financial resources. This position is key for both Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid and the postholder will work closely with all members of the finance team in delivering both the organisational and financial strategies.
The candidate will have confidence and experience in producing high quality and accurate management accounts and variance analysis, as well as proven FP&A experience in supporting a charity’s annual financial planning cycle. As the organisation moves into a new strategic cycle, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the development of financial systems and processes ensuring that the finance department evolves as required.
As Senior Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Governance and will be directly line managing the Finance Manager. Supporting their development as they progress with their accounting qualifications will be a key requirement in this role, and you will have the opportunity to work with and mentor them through this.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead on the production of monthly management accounts for both entities (Helen Bamber Foundation & Asylum Aid) including variance analysis.
· Oversight of month end close process carried out by the Finance Manager ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Supporting the annual planning cycle including regular re-forecasts as well as the annual budget planning process.
· Provide reports and accurate project accounting for joint partnerships with other organisations.
· Support the development of devolved budgets and budget holder responsibilities across the organisation. Provide business partnering to future budget holders across the organisation.
· Lead on production of the annual financial statements in adherence with FRS102 and charity SORP. This includes review of the year-end adjustments and liaising with the communications team on production of the annual report.
· Play a leading role in the annual audit process, dealing with our external auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
· Support cash flow forecasting ensuring that latest risks and opportunities are considered.
· Support the fundraising team with bid applications ensuring that budgets are accurate and aligned to strategy.
· Responsibility for the updating and implementation of key financial control procedures and policies across the organisation.
· Continually look to improve financial processes both within the finance team and across the organisation. This role will play a key role in delivering the financial strategy including systems development.
· Provide payroll cover as required – payroll is outsourced to an external payroll bureau.
· Provide good quality line management to the Finance Manager as well as indirectly to 2 part time Finance Assistants. Be seen as a leader within the organisation.
· Provide development opportunities for the finance team and in particular, to the Finance Manager who is undertaking their accounting qualifications.
· Adherence to key financial deadlines throughout the financial year (VAT returns, month end, financial year-end etc).

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Marketing, the PR and Comms Manager will be the storyteller for all things Enable!
They will execute a yearly PR plan for Enable’s charitable missions, as well as provide PR support for Enable’s varied service areas, including Events, Leisure, Putney School of Art and Design, Bereavement and many more. They will be responsible for Enable’s image externally as well as internally and responsible for holding the relationship with our key stakeholders. Main Duties/Responsibilities:
PR

- Build relationships with key media outlets and secure coverage.

Communications – External and internal

- Lead on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to key stakeholders and partners. Including Enable’s quarterly activity reports and yearly Impact Report.
- Supporting junior members of staff and providing strategic PR and communication support.

In this exciting newly created role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of a bespoke crisis management service accessible by everyone living with HIV in London. You will deliver comprehensive housing options advice to people referred to the service by HIV clinicians, peer support workers and voluntary sector partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on risk of homelessness, social housing applications, rehousing options, bidding process, house swapping options
- Submitting poor conditions complains, advising on disrepair and liaising with local Environment and Health Agency
- Working with asylum seekers to be moved on from unsuitable accommodation and avoid homelessness once granted refugee status
- Supporting applications for legal aid for eviction and homelessness
- Taking part in the ‘Getting to zero’ collaborative monthly/bi-monthly partnership meetings, monthly casework supervision meetings and staff meetings as required
- Together with the Project Lead, using quality improvement methodology to shape and improve the service
- Establishing collaborative working with HIV clinic and provide outreach at various clinics up to four days a month
The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in housing advice (e.g. Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent) or substantial equivalent experience, with at least two years’ experience in providing housing advice or support, particularly to vulnerable groups (e.g., people living with HIV, homelessness, mental health, or immigration issues). Knowledge and understanding of housing law, homelessness legislation, and immigration issues related to housing is crucial, as is experience in dealing with housing benefit systems, social housing applications, and private rented sector issues.
