· Playing a pivotal role in providing operational and strategic leadership in the financial management of SCIE

· Leading the Finance Team on all aspects of SCIE’s day-to-day financial operations to ensure financial health, long-term sustainability and compliance with polices, charity legislation and other relevant financial standards

· Leading on the process of preparing and setting budgets, financial forecasting and reporting, liaising closely with the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources and budget holders as appropriate

· Lead on the timely preparation and production of the monthly management accounts, ensuring income and expenditure is recognised accurately with appropriate, supporting audit documentation in place

· Lead on the critical undertaking of required financial due diligence approval checks against the raising of our client sales invoices, monthly payroll submissions, fortnightly BACS runs, cash flow management and bank reconciliations

· Leading on SCIE’s annual external audit, including the preparation of our statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant charity legislation, regulations and financial reporting standards

What we are looking for:

· Achievement of a recognised, fully qualified professional Accountancy qualification (for example, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 

· A dynamic and experienced individual, with proven experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within the charity sector

· Proficient in preparing, analysing and presenting financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statement).

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial processes to non-financial staff.

· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making

· Proven IT skills, including a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with a strong knowledge of Excel’s functions and formulas

· Proficient in financial management software and tools

Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Change Manager to support local Age UKs to maintain and enhance their strategic positioning, financial sustainability, and governance.

This role will provide support to both individual and groups of local Age UKs in relation to organisational development, significant strategic change, contingency planning, and crisis management. Support will need to be provided in a timely, focused, and impactful manner.

The Strategic Change Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders across the Network to develop and implement robust project plans, take a proactive approach to challenges, and ensure the continuity of high-quality services and support for older people.

The role will have responsibility for overseeing a small team of Network & Engagement Managers whose focus is to develop and maintain strong relationships with Chief Officers and Chairs of local Age UKs.

There is a requirement to travel to sites across the Age UK Network, when required.

We have a job vacancy for a Dementia Specialist to join Shine as the Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) / Dementia Coordinator. 

Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.

In the last year we have seen a 25% increase in members who are living with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are currently just over 600 members with NPH, plus their carers registered, but we are expecting this to continue to rise as awareness and diagnosis of the condition grows. 

We are looking for an experienced, skilled, organised and dedicated new staff member to join Shine’s Services team to develop and lead our new NPH service.

Job Overview

The EMHP Programme Director role sits within the Education and Training Division at Anna Freud within the Workforce Programmes stream in Post-Graduate Studies.   

The post-holder will deliver a high quality, academically coherent and inclusive programme curriculum in line with the evolving EMHP National Curriculum, UCL and British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards. 

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of implementing CBT-informed interventions for low mood and anxiety as well evidence-based interventions for behavioural difficulties in educational settings; have a strong, demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and education and have experience in curriculum design, assessment and teaching in Higher Education.

The role is held within a supportive leadership team who are committed to improving the mental health of all children, young people and families.

Press Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, non negotiable and dependent on experience.

Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice are looking for a press officer to oversee our press and communications as we fight to ensure the mistakes from the pandemic are never repeated again.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.

We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.

You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.

In this role you will ensure timely and accurate management and financial reporting across the organisation, fostering a culture of financial accountability and ensuring that all stakeholders have a sense of co-ownership of this; working closely with the senior management team you will support grant applications to ensure that the terms and conditions of these grants are understood and complied with. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with a solid understanding of IT systems management. They will have proven experience in both financial and IT leadership roles, working closely with senior managers and collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present complex financial data to diverse audiences to ensure the organisation's financial sustainability. Experience in the charity sector and in developing financial strategy is essential for this role.

Livingstone Tanzania Trust (LTT) was set up in 2007. Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:

1. Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
2. Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.

Duties include:

• Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
• Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
• Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
• Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance 
• Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
• Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
• Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
• Attend team meetings at least twice a year
• Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
• Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.
• Other related duties as required.

Key Requirements

• Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education
