Charity People is delighted to be partnering with Orbis UK to recruit for their HR and Governance Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join Orbis UK on a 12-month fixed-term contract, helping the organisation strengthen and embed excellent people practices while delivering key HR priorities.

This role is critical to supporting a highly performing group of staff and trustees as they seek to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness. The role sits within the Business Support Team, which is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and will be crucial in co-creating a revised HR strategy and ensuring that the organisation's compliance with key statutory and regulatory requirements are maintained, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT). The successful postholder will work collaboratively with the Director of Finance and Operations to meet these objectives, but also will have a central role in identifying opportunities for growth within the HR and Governance function to ensure that good practice, wellbeing and compliance work hand in hand with one another and is embedded within the ethos of the organisation for the benefit of its staff and, ultimately, the communities Orbis supports.

The Opportunity

Over the next twelve months, success in this role will mean:

• Completing and progressing key HR priorities across the organisation
• Reviewing, updating and embedding the HR handbook
• Supporting and advising the SMT to develop and deliver a strong HR strategy embedding best practice while continuing to build a positive, inclusive and high performing culture strongly aligned with Orbis' values.
• Support the Director of Finance and Operations to provide high-quality, responsive and effective support to the Orbis Board and its sub-committees.
• Supporting the continued development of an effective in-house HR function
• Provide a responsive problem solving and supportive HR service to colleagues across the organisation.
• Overseeing governance administration where required
• Line manage and work with the Business Support Administrator
• Working in close partnership with the Director of Finance and Operations to deliver both strategic and operational HR priorities

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running from day one. You'll be a knowledgeable and hands-on HR professional who combines strategic thinking with the ability to deliver operationally. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and bringing structure, pace and confidence to a busy environment.

You'll have:

• Significant experience supporting and developing a HR strategy
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience leading organisational people projects and delivering tangible outcomes
• Experience supporting organisational culture and employee engagement initiatives
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

Desirable

• Undertaking (or qualified) CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)

The Role

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the wider development of the trading business, lead operational projects, and play a key role in delivering FARA’s long-term retail strategy.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following competencies:

• Values-led leadership: A strong commitment to FARA’s mission, vision and values, with the ability to lead, coach and develop Shop Managers in a supportive, accountable and collaborative way.
• Commercial focus: Experience of achieving results through others, using KPIs, budgets and financial reports to improve sales, contribution, Gift Aid, stock generation and controllable costs.
• People development: Strong line management skills, with experience of recruitment, induction, performance management, succession planning and handling employee relations matters.
• Retail operational excellence: A sound understanding of shop operations, including pricing, culling, density, curation, sales space, sorting, layout and the ability to coach managers to improve the retail proposition.
• Compliance and risk management: Working knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments, fire risk assessments, regulatory requirements and the ability to maintain safe, compliant shops.

Job Purpose:

The Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator supports MSF UK and Ireland in the effective coordination and day‑to‑day operation of its information security and data protection arrangements. The role focuses on maintaining key records, documentation and processes that underpin compliance with data protection legislation and good information security practice, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working in partnership with Turning Point and Antidote, provide the City and Hackney Integrated Recovery Service (Substance Use).  The service is based in each of City and Hackney’s neighbourhoods in order to be accessible, local and inclusive.  A full integrated service will contribute to recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough. A full integrated service, shaped by the community needs and voices of service users, carers, families, communities, all staff and volunteers will contribute to recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough.

The service has three elements: Out There, Everywhere- specialist outreach, in reach and engagement, Building Blocks- low, medium and hi intensity support pathways, and Get Connected- building on our local, individual, and shared assets to provide recovery capital and peer support.

The role will promote the City & Hackney Recovery Service within the local community through events, social media and local community engagement. They will identify the needs of the client group and provide adequate support.

This role will lead on management of subcontractors, coordinate quarterly contract monitoring and build partnerships including commissioners, GPs, politicians, and other stakeholders to increase collaborative and effective service in City and Hackney’s neighbourhoods. The role will also lead to support MindCHWF’s policies and delivery in the blended service in order to provide efficient and high-quality service.

Job Role:

1. Nurture external partnerships across specific areas and being responsible for overseeing and ensuring all appropriate pathways are in place and reviewed

2. Maintain and enhance appropriate key relationships with statutory and VCS partners who co-locate/joint work with or refer into the service

14. Maintain and update the service satellite spreadsheet (including internal and external satellites).

RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice. iniva is seeking an experienced, thoughtful and collaborative Website & Communications Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment for the organisation. The role sits at the heart of Living Legacies: Collaboration, Community and Radicality, a four-year National Lottery Heritage Fund project that activates iniva’s archive and connects it with communities through exhibitions, events, podcasts, oral histories and digital resources. Role Purpose

The Website & Communications Manager will lead iniva’s communications for a four-year fixed-term
project (3 days per week), with responsibilities evolving across the project — from setting up systems
and plans in Year 1 to delivering public activity, website redevelopment and legacy outputs in later
phases.

Focusing on Living Legacies, the postholder will lead communications activity to grow and diversify
audiences while maintaining strong engagement with existing audiences. They will manage a small
communications team, including the Communications Coordinator, and coordinate different
freelancers over the life of the project, such as a PR Consultant, Website Developer and Podcast
Producer to deliver clear, consistent and values-led communication across the organisation.
Working closely with a freelance Website Developer and internal teams, the postholder will oversee
the redevelopment of iniva’s website, ensuring it is accessible, user-friendly and supports the
project’s digital content and long-term needs. They will also work collaboratively with the Senior
Fundraising Manager, Project Manager and Project Curator to ensure joined-up, timely storytelling that
reflects the aims of the project and supports audience engagement.

Project Specific Duties

The duties below reflect the role across its four-year term. Activity in Years 1–2 will focus on
communications planning, audience development, team coordination and early digital work. Website

Communications Strategy, Planning and Audience Development

• To commission and manage promotional materials, including digital and print assets, working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other freelance creatives to create compelling content that reflects the project's values and reaches diverse audiences.

Base Chase Farm Hospital, 127 The Ridgeway, Enfield EN2 8JL

The role

The CF Therapist will report to the Senior CTS Therapist (CF & NM & Finchley).

The purpose of the role is to provide adaptive therapeutic massage to patients under referral from clinical teams, at the Chase Farm site within step-down, rehabilitation and chemotherapy infusion suite settings, supporting patients' comfort, relaxation, and well-being during recovery.

Unlike many complementary therapy roles, this position offers the best of both worlds.

The two-day-per-week structure provides the security and satisfaction of working within a respected healthcare setting while allowing you the flexibility to continue building and maintaining your private practice. For therapists who value variety and professional independence, this role offers an ideal balance that may not be possible in a full-time position.

You will also gain experience that is difficult to find elsewhere, delivering massage to patients within a busy hospital setting. This provides a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's wellbeing while developing specialist skills and experience in healthcare.

Key objectives and responsibilities of the post are:

· Provide gentle adaptive therapeutic touch to support relaxation and well-being

· Set the highest possible standards of care, respecting cultural preferences, touch, and privacy

· To ensure robust clinical pathways, assessments and review processes are followed, maintaining appropriate clinical records/document sessions as per policy

· Demonstrate safe delivery of best clinical practice

· Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and be involved with research and case studies, where appropriate

· Assist senior CTS therapist NM & CF (Finchley) in the induction and mentoring of volunteers.

· Strict adhered to infection prevention

· Protocols the immediate escalation of adverse reactions

· Liaise closely with the nursing and medical team

· Be aware of current developments within complementary therapy

· Ensure sensitive information is managed in accordance with GDPR, Safeguarding and confidentiality policies and       guidance

· Always maintain confidentiality, which includes patients, relatives, staff and volunteers

· Monitor and maintain the complementary therapy stock and ensure oils and equipment are stored safely and correctly

• Work autonomously but in compliance with the relevant professional body’s code of ethics and professional conduct, national frameworks and trust policies and procedures specific to the role

The team

Patient support brings together volunteering, complementary therapy, and wider charity patient-facing support into one integrated, site-based team at each of the four main hospital sites. Each hospital has a dedicated “charity space” with a core team that works together to provide a consistent, responsive, and easy‑to‑navigate offer for patients and families. Patient support site managers work closely with NHS site teams to ensure support reflects the clinical needs and demographics of each hospital. Volunteering and therapy roles are embedded locally rather than operating as separate teams, enabling continuity, flexibility, and equitable provision. A small central social rights and benefits team provides targeted, discharge‑focused advice for financially vulnerable patients. Patient support delivered via the charity is designed to be clear, collaborative and patient‑centred, with charity staff working as one team to deliver high‑quality support tailored to each site.
