About the role
The communications team directly contributes to the delivery of the Foundation’s objectives by ensuring effective communication of our work to influence the ongoing development and improved delivery of healthcare policy and practice in the UK. The remit of the communication team’s external affairs function includes public affairs, stakeholder relations, media relations, integrated communications, and corporate communications.
We currently have an opportunity for an External Affairs Officer to join the team on a 6-month fixed term basis. This role will contribute to the achievement of the Health Foundation’s overarching influencing and communications strategies by supporting the external affairs team in effectively delivering high-quality public affairs, stakeholder relations, media, and integrated communications activity.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. This role will be required to provide some additional support to our media and press work – experience in media relations is desirable but not essential. A knowledge of the healthcare policy landscape within the UK would be advantageous.

The Data Selections and Reporting Officer will work with teams across ARUK to deliver accurate data selections and segmentations for ARUK’s communications. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed briefs and deadlines.
This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we have launched Salesforce and use the Snowflake Data Cloud to develop our selections in. We have bold plans for growth at ARUK and this role will have a key role in this as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Aid in the scheduling and delivery of data selections through the Selections Calendar to ensure clarity on what data selections are upcoming, managing any potential clashes and planning and prioritizing workload
· Produce data selections and segmentations in an accurate and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines
· Work with the Data Selections Manager to proactively identify ideas and opportunities to continuously improve campaign performance and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust
· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief
· Adhere to a rigorous data selection process that guarantees the accurate delivery of selections
· Ensure the database is kept up to date with communications history and marketing coding as part of the data selection process
· Support teams in the delivery of end of campaign reporting, post-campaign analysis and the running of regular reports
· Work with Fundraising Teams, Digital Team and external agencies to ensure data selection file formats are delivered to specification
· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to follow the data selection process
· Support the process of the annual planning of communication activity across fundraising teams
· Work with the wider Data and Analytics teams to ensure the necessary data is being captured to enable campaign analysis to be conducted
· Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to reduce the risk of errors and inaccuracy in selections

What we are looking for:
· Experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages
· Experience of building complex queries and producing data selections from a database package or through SQL querying
· A good working knowledge of SQL

Additional Information:

This post is offered as a fixed term contract until 1 March 2026, or as a secondment for internal colleagues.
The fundraising team are working towards the growth and success of St Mungo’s Fundraising Strategy, which ultimately supports our aim to end rough sleeping for good. We are looking for someone to join the team as a Database Officer where you can provide database administration support to the fundraising team, enabling our strategy on supporter lifetime value, in line with our income growth path.
Working as the Database Officer you will maintain, develop and utilise the Raiser’s Edge database as an effective fundraising, segmentation and analysis tool, and train the fundraising team on Raiser’s Edge. Some of your other key duties will include:
- Manage daily administration of the Raiser’s Edge database, adding of data to lists, campaigns, appeals, adding new users.
- Importing large volumes of data using ImportOmatic and Raiser’s Edge imports for teams across Fundraising.
- Improve data quality on the database by running queries and reports to identify where data is not accurate or in the right format such as missing address information, phone or email and gift aid, as well as other information as identified.
- Support the Database Manager in implementing best practices when using and developing the database, including coding for segments, attributes and other database customisations.
- Assist in training Raiser’s Edge users to ensure they are fully trained in the relevant aspects of database functionality and to provide technical support when required.
- Create data sets to go to mailing houses and email communications which include segmentation of data and complex criteria.
- Work with fundraising and other teams to solve data challenges and estimate time to develop solutions and communicate timeframes.
About you
We are looking for a good problem solver with a solution focused attitude. If you can demonstrate the below, we encourage you to apply:
- Experience in using databases as an administrator, ideally using Raiser’s Edge NXT within the charity sector.
- Some experience in developing reporting, incorporating multiple criteria based on ever changing requirements, analysing data; and using data management tools and techniques including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulae, data manipulation and presentation).
- You will have good knowledge of GDPR with an investigative mind, and the ability to solve complex problems while remaining focused on wider team objectives and goals.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills and be an effective decision maker with a solution focused attitude.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We are offering an opportunity for a qualified Technical Specialist in Conservation Design & Impact to play a central role in delivering and supporting Fauna & Flora’s work to strengthen project design and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) to understand impact at project and organisational levels and strengthen conservation practice.
Your experience will include theory-based project design and MEL, and you will have knowledge of a breath of MEL approaches relevant to conservation work – including social, ecological, behavioural and capacity building. More practically, working closely with targeted project teams and other technical specialists, you will play a vital role in creating and implementing context-appropriate, pragmatic project MEL systems. This will include supporting project teams in the design of impact focused MEL based on the project’s Theory of Change, creation of holistic MEL framework and establishment of protocols for the collection, analysis and evaluation of data, and potentially conducting (or facilitating self-) evaluations of project data where relevant. These will all be considerate of the context of the project, ensuring that the time, skills, and funding investment needed is practical. Your skills will be grounded in practical experience of delivering conservation initiatives, and you will have direct experience of delivering MEL from design through to analysis, interpretation and management and use of gathered data.
You will also be experienced at building the capacity of others operating within varied resource constraints and contexts. This could include formal training, accompaniment and coaching. You will be able to think holistically and work collaboratively with project staff, partners, and other technical specialists from diverse disciplines to effectively embed enhanced MEL into conservation projects and to document and share learning. This will include the production of guidance materials, active participation in Communities of Practice, and facilitating peer learning and training.

About the role
Data underpins everything we do. We’re looking for a Senior Database Officer with exceptional data management and analytical skills to ensure our data is structured, maintained, and utilised effectively across the organisation.
In this key role, you’ll work closely with teams across fundraising and communications, using your expertise in data analysis, segmentation, and reporting to drive strategic decision-making. Your insights will help optimise engagement, retention, and stewardship across our supporter base.

Supported by developers, UX designers, content creators and tracking implementation specialists, you’ll be responsible for defining and delivering the experimentation roadmap for BHF Events products, spanning insight, test ideation, test completion, analysis and stakeholder management.
In this role you’ll set up funnels and other custom reports and generate actionable insights as well as devise experiments and optimisation strategies that will align with business goals.
You’ll develop strong collaborative relationships with our BHF Events product owners, analyse the customer journey, provide teams with key insights, monitor and report on performance, and manage a programme of testing to measurably improve conversions.

About You

This is a key role within the Engagement Directorate at Blind Veterans UK as we are working through a new strategy which ensures we become data and insight led and put our audiences at the centre of all our communication. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to help revolutionise how Blind Veterans UK conducts data selections and to play a key role in producing actionable insights as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of complex database extracts from Raiser’s Edge using FastStats, ensuring all data selections are delivered to a high standard for communications to Blind Veteran UK supporters. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. The critical element to this role is developing a campaign planning process that embeds a test and learn culture and drives innovation and improvement in our communications.
You will work with the Insight Manager and wider Engagement (fundraising and Comms & Marketing) Team to implement journeys and automations to improve second gift rates and drive sustainable income.
As well as leading on data selections, you will manage the insight planning and request project boards, working with the Insight Manager to respond to both ad-hoc insight requests and longer term insight projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role - what you'll be doing:
- Lead on data selections. Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines.
- Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload.
- Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief.

To raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million. Working effectively within the team unit and across the organisation you will meet individual targets through building excellent relationships with funders, leading to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.
Responsibilities:
Income generation
· Raise voluntary unrestricted and restricted income through submission of high-quality proposals (60% of time)
· Lead on developing the portfolio of funders, joining external networks, seeking out leads from internal staff/ trustees and developing intelligence on potential funders.
· Provide support as requested for significant strategic opportunities to support the Grants & Partnerships Lead.
· Develop an effective approach for raising unrestricting income.
· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £120,000-£150,000/year (exact target will be dependent on working hours agreed and level of experience), a set number of bids and reports submitted monthly, number of multi-year commitments and lifetime value of grants (to be agreed).
Target Audience:
Portfolio to include Surrey and Regional based funders including trusts, foundations and local government grant funders. Some of these will be existing, and some to be identified.
Account Management:
· Provide excellent account management to grant funders.
· Optimise funding potential and retention of funders through quality and timely reports, regular communication including meetings, and through building excellent relationships.
· Thinking creatively, working with colleagues organise own events/opportunities to increase engagement of funders e.g. project visit, garden open day
· Identify other funding opportunities through relationships, for example for Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.
· Lead on administration for all designated grants including thank you letters, updating Donorfy and sharing info/updates across the team (comprising approximately 15% of the time).
Internal Reporting:
· Manage accurate and up to date pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:
o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings
o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information
o Analysis for annual planning sessions
Quality and standards:
· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.
· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.
