We are looking for a fully office-based Resources Assistant to join the Resources Team in a busy mental health charity. This is a four-day-a-week role (28 hours).
Our team manages our reception and admin office. We also maintain the building and provide support and equipment to our staff. The team consists of our Resources Director, a Senior Worker and admin volunteers. The Resources Assistant is a vital team member, helping with building and resources management and providing administrative support while also being the front-line member of staff at Mind in Camden.
It will be your responsibility to keep the office running smoothly. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and clients and will manage and maintain our reception and look after our admin phone and email account.
You will also proactively assist with maintaining our building, performing regular checks and engaging contractors. You’ll be responsible for keeping and maintaining accurate records for our contracts and equipment and taking the lead on a variety of admin tasks.
You’ll thrive in a very busy environment, have excellent organisational and communication skills, and enjoy being a key member of a small team. The ability to prioritise and manage a full and varied workload is important, and you’ll have a strong interest in working in a mental health charity.

As the Senior MEL Officer in the MEL team, you will support the Head of Impact & Learning and the MEL Manager, as well as the Programmes & Impact department and wider team, to measure and analyse the quality and impact of our programming. You’ll use your strong organisation skills, experience in data collection and analysis, and ability to identify key trends and impact in our work. You will also work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that our impact and expertise in working with women entrepreneurs is measured and communicated accurately and effectively to our Board of Trustees and external stakeholders.
Department purpose
This role sits within the Programmes & Impact department, which is responsible for the development and delivery of our programmes and services, ensuring they are delivered to a high quality, remain responsive to women entrepreneurs’ needs and have demonstrable impact. The department is divided into three teams: Entrepreneurship, which is responsible for delivery of services such as HerVenture and the four ‘Road to’ programmes, Mentoring, which is responsible for development and delivery of the Mentoring Women in Business programme, and MEL, which is responsible for quality impact measurement, analysis and research.
Key responsibilities
Main obligations
- Support the development and implementation of MEL systems and tools across Mentoring and Entrepreneurship projects, providing the Foundation with the necessary information to understand our impact and inform programme improvements.
- Support in collection and analysis of organisational KPIs and provide overall operational support for the MEL team.
Specific responsibilities
- Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Ensure up-to-date programme monitoring and evaluation materials (surveys, data collection tools and theoretical frameworks) are in place for existing programmes as well as those that are in development.
- In collaboration with colleagues in the Mentoring and Entrepreneurship teams, execute the annual calendar of programme and partner surveys, including uploading and testing the surveys.
- Develop analysis plans aligned to key research questions, programme goals and logical frameworks.
- Collect, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative programme data aligned to programme goals, logical frameworks, organisational KPIs, and general summaries of findings.
- Collaborate with colleagues on the Mentoring and Entrepreneurship teams to support dissemination of programme findings and cross-site trends internally and externally.
Research and Evaluation
- Provide administrative, logistical and analytical support for programme evaluation and in-country data collection.

Person specification

- Essential criteria
- Two or more years of experience working in MEL, ideally related to international development.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Service Engagement Lead to manage, coordinate and support both the Infant feeding and Parenting course projects. This role is split between being out in the community and working from home, it will include regular travel across the Hackney borough (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
Working closely with the Hackney Parent Support team, you will be responsible for the service engagement and promotion of our community-based services across Hackney. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Line managing the paid peer supporters within the Hackney staff team.
· Coordinating and maintaining the active social media and Infant Feeding Services website.
· Advertising volunteering opportunities across varying platforms including social media and in person at local events.
· Provide clear guidance and information to potential volunteers on the roles, responsibilities and training requirements.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breastmilk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is 28 hours per week, with the hours worked across the week between the core hours of 9-5, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is role is based out in the community within Hackney with some home working.

The Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across finance and the broader strategic growth of the BBFC. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and as part of the ELT, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead the delivery of all required financial resources and advice to enable the highest quality services to internal and external stakeholders

The Head of Fundraising is an exciting new role developed for the Society to increase fundraising and develop additional income streams to enhance the sustainability of the Society. Further Information
This post is an initial 2.5-year (30 month) full-time contract which will be extendible subject to funding.
