About the Role:

This role is crucial in the long-term retention and growth of our partnership revenue streams. The role requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills to maintain and nurture mutually beneficial strategic alliances to enhance Urban Synergy’s capacity and reach. The position also provides value to our partners and will ensure our collaborations with businesses, foundations, government agencies, and non-profit organisations are sponsored, supported, and sustainable.

We will be looking for someone who can offer more to really get themselves stuck into Urban Synergy to help grow the company and develop the role into their own.

What You'll Do:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Corporate partners within FTSE 250.

Develop and implement a partnership strategy to enhance financial support and resources for Urban Synergy programmes.

Develop tailored partnership packages that align with the philanthropic priorities and interests of our Corporate partners.

Prepare compelling and professionally written proposals and presentations to potential corporate partners. Ensure they are aligned with the interests of potential partners.

Effectively communicate the impact and benefits of partnerships to prospective sponsors.

Lead negotiations and finalise partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Urban Synergy's values and goals.

Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contract compliance.

Collaborate with programme managers to ensure seamless integration of corporate partnerships into Urban Synergy's initiatives.

Provide regular updates to the leadership team on partnership progress and outcomes.

Work closely with the finance team to manage and report on the financial aspects of corporate partnerships.

Ensure budgetary alignment with partnership goals and objectives.

Who we are looking for:

Proven experience in a partnership development or similar role, preferable within the non-profit sector.

Bachelors’ Degree in Business, management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Works collaboratively within a team and also work independently

Comes with ideas and suggestions on how to develop and nurture our partnerships.

Self-starter, who is results-oriented with a track record of achieving fundraising targets.

Is socially dynamic, successful at networking and is able to nurture and maintain positive relationships

Strategic thinking and ability to align partnerships with organisational goals.

Exceptional writing and communication skills and displays a commitment to excellence through careful attention to detail.

Strong organisational and project management skills.

About the Role:

This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. You will develop and implement business development strategies to attract financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential donors. The role will proactively engage with donors, build relationships, and cultivate partnerships to create and maximise income generation to support our mission and programmes.

What You'll Do:

Drive development of Urban Synergy’s presence in business FTSE 250 and others, through successful inbound and outbound prospect and client engagement.

Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant opportunities to build a meaningful opportunity pipeline.

Create comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Urban Synergy’s organisational goals and mission.

Create, implement and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives to maximise income generation.

Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.

Develop donor cultivation plans, including personalised communications, events, and stewardship activities.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective donor engagement and recognition and explore new partnership opportunities.

Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Engagement and the Partnership Manager.

Identify relevant grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals ensuring timely their submission including reports, and related documentation.

Attend networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to expand the organisation's network and establish strategic partnerships.

Track and analyse income generation activities, prepare regular reports and revenue forecasts on fundraising progress, outcomes, and ROI.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in fundraising activities.

Who we are looking for:

Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.

Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.

Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.

Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.

Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.

We are looking for an experienced Business/Office Manager to join our team to support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Senior Youth Work Manager, Board of Directors/Trustees and our wider team of youth workers and volunteers as well as providing general business administration and office management. 

This role offers lots of opportunity to bring your business management skills to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operational side of the charity.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, committed and highly organised Fundraising Manager. The postholder will have a central role in working with the Head of Fundraising to secure grants from statutory agencies and trusts and foundations but will also work to steward relationships with individual donors, support innovative digital fundraising campaigns and assist in the delivery of targeted fundraising activities and events. There is significant scope and opportunity for the Fundraising Manager to develop the charity’s work arounds trusts and foundations, individual giving, challenge/community events and corporate partnerships.

Role Requirements

• Working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, you will strengthen and implement business planning, pipeline and budgeting processes as well as devise comprehensive audience-led stewardship plans, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve targets.  
• Lead the implementation and delivery of the strategy for the Events and Partnerships teams and work with the Head of Public Fundraising and the teams to develop and review strategies to maximise income from events and partnerships
• Manage partnership pipeline including building opportunities with new businesses to increase the range, value and number of partnerships for The Children’s Trust
• Lead the Events team to review and overhaul our current events programme so that we are maximising net income and ROI as well as meeting the needs of our supporters and local community, and building connections and long-term relationships with our events supporters
• Work across the Retail, Fundraising and Communications directorate to maximise opportunities for contact mapping, cross-sell and support the activity of other teams within the directorate (including but not limited to stock donations, sponsorship of committee-led events, pro bono support, gifts in kind etc.)
• Be responsible for the implementation of the budgets and delivery of income and expenditure against the plans
• Bring the Events and Partnerships teams together to ensure that we are seizing opportunities to integrate the programmes, for instance through corporate sponsorships of events, employee volunteering or participation, donated goods for raffles and auctions, match funding and more
• Develop relationships with colleagues across the Public Fundraising Team, wider directorate and organisation to ensure that opportunities for engagement, integration and promotion of events and partnerships are maximised and publicised

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Responsibilities

Team Management:

• Provide leadership and direction to our staff team

• Leading on evaluation and collating reports

Risk Management:

• Oversee the organisation's risk register, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Identify and implement appropriate software

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and service users.

Human Resources:

• Manage all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

• Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.

• Address staff concerns and ensure a fair and supportive work environment.

Financial Management:

• Oversee the petty cash and ensure proper record-keeping and financial controls

• Manage Annual Leave and Toil.

• Work collaboratively with the board or finance team on budgeting and resource allocation.

Promoting the Charity:

• Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness of our work with refugees and asylum seekers.

• Build relationships as required with key stakeholders, including donors, funders, and partner organisations.

• Advocate for the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.

Wellbeing and Health Activities:

• Champion staff and service user well-being by identifying and implementing initiatives that promote mental and physical health.

• Coordinate with relevant organisations to offer support services.

Reporting

• Oversee the assimilation of quarterly and year-end Annual reports and Financial report 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role within the charity sector or a related field.

• Experience of managing projects and what happens on a day to day basis

• Proven experience in team leadership, staff development, and HR management.

• Strong understanding of risk management principles and best practices.

Pace is a ground-breaking charity which provides world class and highly specialist education and therapy services for children and young people with neurodisabilities, alongside support for their families.

Our overarching aim is to provide an ‘education for life’ which looks ahead to a child’s true potential in terms of independent functional access to learning and society.  Each child’s needs are different and this is reflected in their journey through Pace, but for each child we look to offer the greatest independence for the rest of their lives by maximising physical, communication, self-care and academic progress, giving them and their families/carers skills, strategies and a positive problem-solving outlook, ensuring they thrive beyond Pace.

Pace supports around 600 children and young people a year across the following services.

• Our independent, highly specialist, Ofsted-outstanding school, catering for children with cerebral palsy (CP) and other similar sensory motor disorders.
• Our Child & Family Therapy Service, providing advice, assessments and sessional therapy to children (aged 0-18) and support for families. Alongside CP and sensory motor disorders, our therapy service caters for children with a wider variety of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, social emotional and mental health challenges, behavioural challenges and school refusers. Our early intervention provision supports babies and toddlers (aged 0-3) known to have, or at high risk of a neurodiasbility.
• Our commissioned therapy services into local special schools, supports children and young people with specialist occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
• Free online advice and support is available via our digital hub.

In addition, we are committed to encouraging the development of best practice nationally – to promote the systemic change that will enhance the life potential of the thousands of children and young people with neurodisabilities across the UK.

As a Trusts and Foundations Manager you will be at the heart of our strategic vision. You will lead on building new and stewarding existing relationships to secure substantial funding from Trust and Foundations to support our core services, across Child and Family Therapy Services and the School. There will also be opportunities to support an upcoming capital appeal.

Position: Trusts and Foundations Manager

Reports to: Head of Income Generation

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire or Hybrid

Hours: Open to discussion about full-time (38 hrs per week), part-time, flexible working.

Salary: £40,000 FTE per annum

Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, increases with length of service

Pension: company pension scheme with contribution of up to 4%

What you will be working on:

• You’ll secure significant income from a portfolio of Charitable Trusts and Foundations against agreed annual targets and in line with Pace strategy.
• You’ll proactively identify, develop and support relationships with Charitable Trusts and Foundations (including with their trustees and officers) and provide exceptional ongoing stewardship.
• You’ll collaborate with Pace Trustees and Patrons, the senior leadership team and cross-functional teams, including, Pace School, Child and Family Therapy Services, fundraising and marketing, to support funding applications, data collection/monitoring and impact reporting.
• You’ll adhere to the highest standards of fundraising best practice as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Practice and ensure that all activities comply fully with the relevant Data Protection and any other legislation.
• You’ll manage a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser (currently on maternity leave) and deputise for the Head of Income Generation if appropriate.

• You have demonstrable experience of securing up to six figure gifts from Charitable Trusts and Foundations and meeting income targets.
• You have experience of developing and implementing strategies, action plans, budgets and funding pipelines.
• You have worked successfully with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• You have the ability to understand and convey complex information and communicate this clearly and concisely.
• You have excellent IT skills, including database management (ideally RaisersEdge/Nxt or a similar fundraising database).

Job Aim:To work with the Youth Project Coordinator to provide a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will assist in delivering against the partnerships successful EMPOWER youth services commissioning bid to Newham Council. The service provides 10 weekly universal activities across East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19 including:

• Three outdoor MUGA sports sessions per week.
• Three youth hub session per week which includes branched off projects such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
• EKO Pathways after school delivery sessions, helping to support children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
• Outdoor parks MUGA session
• Year-round trips and residentials
• Youth Theatre
• Delivery of three-week summer holiday scheme which involves volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants and employment for additional young people. This includes Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops.

The Role:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and energetic UK Campaign Manager with a passion for our mission and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chair of Inspiring Girls UK to strengthen core UK campaign operations and activities over the next two years with the longer term goal of sustainable national campaign expansion. As part of this growth, the job-holder will be responsible for partnership management, staffing, and budget management for the campaign, and taking the lead on making key hires to build the team over time.

The UK Campaign Manager will immediately support all key aspects of campaign delivery, including events management, communications, fundraising, and reporting back on impact. This broad role brings lots of opportunities for the right candidate, and will suit someone with a positive attitude, great people skills, and the ability to get things done with limited resources!

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the UK Chair to strategically develop the campaign over a 2-year period.

• Manage the campaign’s budget, and map staffing requirements

• Manage UK staff members or freelancers once appointed

• Oversee events management, communications output, and fundraising.

• Lead the delivery of campaign activities, including planning and logistics for events (including briefings for senior event participants).

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners

• Provide impact measurement and progress reporting of campaign activities.

• Act as a liaison with the international HQ team for support where necessary.

Essential skills, experience and qualities: 

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in campaign/project management or a comparable multifaceted role.
