The HR & Administration Assistant will support the HR team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to WHAG for all HR-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes the efficient and effective smooth running of WHAG’s HR functions enabling WHAG services to be delivered and being an effective team member, You will act as an integral part of the HR Team offering support to the wider organisation.

The Domestic cleaner  will provide a comprehensive cleaning service at WHAG’s, properties and offices across Cheshire West and Chester, Ensuring turnaround of properties meets targets and remains in excellent condition, whist compling with safe working practices and high standards. Role Overview: 

As a Young Persons Link Worker, you will be providing social prescribing support to young people, and/or their families. The aim of the role is to help clients improve their health and wellbeing by connecting them to community support. This could include helping people with a range of issues such as coping with social pressures, emotional wellbeing, physical inactivity, financial difficulties, crime, loneliness, bullying, relationship issues, housing issues and family problems. 

The role involves working with professionals in Primary Care, education, social services and other community and voluntary sector services to develop the service.  The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, passionate about supporting people and dedicated to reducing inequalities in the local area.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

Person-centred care and support 

• Deliver effective social prescribing appointments using a holistic and person-centred approach
• Empower clients to take control of their own wellbeing by building their confidence, motivating them to set goals and creating personalised action plan
• Signpost and refer people to local voluntary, community and statutory services that help meet their needs

Communication and Collaboration 

• Work with the Primary Care partners and the Enable Health & Wellbeing Team to develop a social prescribing service that supports young people and families
• Maintain regular contact with primary care teams, providing updates and sharing knowledge of local VCSE organisations
• Develop supportive relationships and work in partnership with local VCSE organisations, community groups, and statutory services to make safe and effective onward referrals

Service Quality and Development 

• Collect and record outcome and monitoring data using required systems, contributing to the evaluation of the programm
• Manage own case load to ensure clients receive appropriate levels of support and expectations are met and keep accurate records of client interactions and record all onward referrals to VCSE service
• Gather client feedback to evaluate the quality of the service and to inform service changes and developments
• Complete Quality Assurance Assessments for VCSE organisations accepting social prescribing referrals to ensure they are safe, effective, and have the support they need to be part of social prescribing

Skills and Experience:  

• At least 2 years’ experience in a role that involves delivering face-to-face support in a relevant health, social care or youth work environment
• At least 2 years’ experience working with/ supporting disadvantaged young people and their families
• Experience of working with the VCSE sector, including with volunteers, small community groups and youth groups
• Experience of partnership working and relationship building across different sectors and organisations
• Motivational interviewing, behaviour change, or health coaching qualification (desirable) or willingness to undertake training (essential)
• Understanding of the challenge’s young people and families within inner London face particularly relating to obesity and mental health issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other client monitoring systems or tools as required
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range partners including GPs, VCSE organisations and service users
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; able to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a meaningful way

Action for Conservation is a grassroots charity using pioneering approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. We're looking to appoint a Senior Programmes Manager - North West (Maternity cover) to help us shape and manage our programmes for young people nationally and lead our work in the North West.
 

Key terms

Start date: as soon as possible
Starting salary: £36,749.45 - £40,773.98 depending on location and experience
Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months, with possibility to extend this if needed
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Evening and weekend work: Regular evening and weekend work, including residential work, will be required. Time off in lieu (TOIL) can be taken for overtime worked.  
Location: Remote or Manchester/London/Bristol (hybrid) - to be agreed with the successful candidate 
Travel: Regular travel to Manchester and the North West of England will be required where this is not the jobholder’s usual place of work, as well as occasional national travel for meetings

About the role

This opportunity comes at a unique and exciting time in the evolution of our charity, as we look at how we continue to grow our work sustainably and deepen the connections between our youth and land-based work streams.

As Senior Programme Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape our work nationally as well as lead our programmes in the North West of England, enabling us to grow our reach, deepen our impact and ultimately deliver our mission. Your work will ensure that across our programmes we offer young people meaningful and impactful opportunities to take action for people and the planet and have a voice in shaping the future of our landscapes. 

You will work closely with and report to the Head of Impact and Programme Operations. You will also line manage the other regional Programme Managers and a team of two Programme Coordinators in the North West, and will collaborate with the Land-Based Projects and Policy Lead and the Land-based Project Coordinator at the intersection of our youth programmes and land-based work.

With support from your manager and in consultation with the other regional Programme Managers, you will translate our annual programme strategy into a robust cross-regional implementation plan covering both programme design and operations and make tangible improvements to enhance efficiency and impact across our regions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are delivered as planned, to a high standard in line with best practice and cohesively across regions, and that regional objectives and targets in the North West are achieved.

The ideal candidate will be a highly capable and experienced project/programmes manager and team leader with a proven track record of motivating and supporting others to achieve the best possible outcomes for your team and your programmes. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead Action for Conservation’s work in the North West, ensuring that regional targets and objectives are achieved and supporting the expansion of our programmes and projects in line with our organisational strategy.

• Support the cross-regional planning and management of our programmes to ensure that programmes are delivered on time and to budget, to a high standard and cohesively across regions. 

• Line manage the other regional Programme Manager and the North West Programme Coordinators, providing leadership, guidance and support as needed.

Job Purpose:To coordinate and deliver an exciting range of Short Breaks activity clubs for children and young people aged 5 - 17 with additional needs and disabilities at weekends and school holidays.

Hours of work:35 hours per week

Working Pattern: Term time hours: Tuesday – Saturday 09:00 – 17:00; School holidays hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Location: Based at YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road, Reigate, RH2 8HA. Managing/Leading Short Breaks Clubs in Mole Valley

Annual leave: Starting allowance - 25 days plus Bank Holidays.Please note that school holidays are key delivery periods and annual leave is not usually agreed during these periods.

Main Responsibilites:

• Plan and deliver a structured programme of enjoyable, recreational, high-quality activities to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities who attend Short Breaks clubs 

• Lead and line manage a team of workers and volunteers, and to assist in the recruitment and training of the Disability sessional team 

• To coordinate and take responsibility for the planning, allocation of places, and staffing to ensure safe delivery of Short Breaks clubs 

• Have responsibility for processing of new referrals, initial assessments and individual care plans and any associated risk assessments 

• To develop strategies and behavioural support plans for young people attending activities and access YMCA Disability Services 

• To be aware of Ofsted requirements and ensure Short Breaks clubs for children are compliant, with ongoing monitoring 

• Administer medication for children and young people with health needs and undergo relevant training and transfer this knowledge onto the staff team 

• Work closely with individual children and young people and their families to identify a range of social, recreational and leisure activities to meet the needs of young people and children 

• Ensure that all young people are made to feel valued and enabled to develop and improve self-esteem, life skills, self-confidence and positive experiences 

• To gain young people’s feedback and capture their voice in shaping and evaluating future club sessions 

• Work as part of the delivery team, initiate programmed activities, alongside additional opportunities 

• To be responsible for the Health and Safety of children, young people and staff, above all, ensuring that Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk policies are adhered to 

• Provide information, guidance and advice for parent/carers about local services for young people and families 

• Attend and participate in relevant internal/external meetings and forums related to the CYP services activities 

• To provide operational Coordinator cover for other Disability Services or locations as required 

• Design and deliver training sessions to staff. 

• To undertake the role of Duty Officer at the Sovereign Centre, at times to be agreed with Disability Services Manager 

• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably requested by the Disability Services Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and manage FoodCycle’s Programmes team in London & South East.FoodCycle’s mission is to nourish the hungry and lonely in our communities with delicious meals and great conversation, using food which would otherwise go to waste.​

As London & South East Area Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle Community Meals/Projects in these geographical regions.With over 30 Community Meals/Projects across the region it is a great time to join a fantastic team.​

You will be tasked with growing FoodCycle impact in London & South East region, strengthening existing projects and developing community partnerships. You will lead the London & South East team, effectively manage and establish this area, and ensure that FoodCycle is supporting as many people as possible in our local communities.​

​An excellent communicator, you will have experience in line management, programme development and delivery, volunteer management and working with vulnerable adults. You will manage your area team ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, and ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

You will need to live in London & South East, and be able to travel to projects in London & South East area for this exciting role.​

Are you an able Administrator with a heart to see positive change in the lives of people who are trying to make a new start in the community after prison? Do you have good all-round IT and communication skills, and enjoy working in a team?

South West Community Chaplaincy (SWCC) aims to provide effective care and community support for people as they leave prison and re-integrate back into their local area, within the counties of Devon, Cornwall and western Somerset.  This incudes mentoring, practical support and signposting to assist the integration of ex-prisoners into their communities, in collaboration with other professionals.

We are seeking a part-time Project Support Administrator (up to 15 hours per week).  The post-holder will be based at our Exeter office, although there is some scope for partial homeworking, subject to agreement.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, with previous administrative experience and good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook etc.), including a sound grasp of data entry (Microsoft Azure, Teams).  Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to be an effective communicator, conveying information efficiently in writing, face-to-face and by phone. 

The post-holder will have a pastoral heart and concern for the wellbeing of people, will be in sympathy with the faith ethos and values of the charity, and be able to promote an inclusive environment where people of all faiths, and people of none, can work together for the transformation of lives and communities.
