The Events team sits within the Insight and Strategic Development team whose purpose is to maximise Alzheimer’s Research UK’s income by driving collaborative, efficient and sustainable ways of working. This team of experts works alongside the whole organisation and is fundamental to the delivery of our ambition.
The Events Officer will work closely with the Events Manager in the development and delivery of a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK, ensuring a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience. This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the fundraising directorate on their events scoping, planning and delivery.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required
· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.
· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.
· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner
· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post
· To brief the senior leadership team, scientists, clinicians, speakers, staff and volunteers ahead of each event
· Regular attendance at events; this will include some travel and work outside of ordinary working hours
What we are looking for:
· Experience in the events industry, both online and in-person
· Planning and delivery of online events via Zoom, Teams or similar.
· Confident working with computers, extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
· Co-ordinating projects or events, particularly large-scale events of 200+ attendees.
· Delivering activity against and monitoring a budget.
· Excellent project management skills
· Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple tasks.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; with a natural ability to articulate ideas, problems and solutions
· Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with different stakeholders and significant stakeholder management experience.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Role Summary
The Head of Apprenticeship Operations and Delivery sits at the heart of Ada’s apprenticeship programmes. They are responsible for the operational delivery of Ada’a apprenticeships across all sites, leading a cross-regional team to manage and deliver the compliant systems and processes required for exceptional apprenticeships, and oversee communications and support functions. The role is centred on the apprentices’ and employers’ experience and works closely with Ada’s central operations team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Leadership of apprenticeship operations: Lead on all operational matters, including leading and line managing the delivery and compliance staff. This includes: recruiting and inducting team members; holding 1:1s; setting objectives; setting priorities; reporting on key metrics; and identifying and recommending improvements.
- Systems: Lead on ensuring the systems and processes necessary for degree apprenticeship delivery are in place, collaborating with the central data and impact teams to transition to a new CRM and learner record management system.
- Enrolment and onboarding: Manage the process for the admissions, enrolment and onboarding of apprentices, and work with the Apprenticeship Partnerships team on the onboarding of new employers.
- Delivery logistics: Enable effective delivery of apprenticeship training, working through the team to ensure the smooth running of induction and delivery weeks. This includes liaising with site staff, teaching colleagues and skills coaches, and managing logistics for in person delivery.
- Apprenticeship compliance: Work with the team to ensure that Ada’s programmes are compliant with the latest funding rules, including:
- The collection and storage of necessary documentation during enrolment
- Management of the online Apprenticeship Service
- Establishment and maintenance of compliant templates for training plans and apprenticeship agreements
- Quality Assurance of data collected for submission to the Individualised Learner Record (ILR)
- Monitoring of work output of other apprenticeship teams to ensure compliance E.g in setting training plans and establishing off the job hours.
- Apprenticeship funding: Work in partnership with the Finance Team on the planning and reconciliation of apprenticeship funding
- Apprentice enquiries: Deliver an efficient system to manage apprentice enquiries, allowing them to be dealt with in a timely manner and delivering excellent customer service.
- Communications to apprentices: Oversee cohort wide communication of programme information, ensuring apprentices are equipped with clear and timely details about their courses, including but not limited to apprentice handbooks, delivery dates, venue details and how to access support.
- Data and reporting: Ensure effective apprenticeship data management, and work closely with the Impact and Information team to ensure that all data reporting is integrated into Ada's core online systems wherever possible
- The apprentice experience: Place the apprentices’ experience at the heart of operational delivery, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service, and taking into account the needs of Ada’s apprentices at each stage of their journey.
- Health, safety and wellbeing: The Apprenticeship Operations team has a shared responsibility with the other teams within apprenticeships to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of apprentices. You will collaborate with other colleagues, in particular the central college operations team (including site managers), the college safeguarding team (Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and deputy DLSs), and skills coach team, to ensure the highest standards of provision and support, in the areas of: first aid provision, risk assessment, safeguarding of learners, fire safety, and wellbeing support.

For over 900 years Tewkesbury Abbey has been at the heart of the community - as a place of gathering, worship, celebration and remembrance. Down the centuries we have been a Benedictine Abbey, a parish church and a place of refuge in times of flood and war.
Today the Abbey is a thriving parish church with hundreds coming here to worship each week, drawn by our commitment to daily prayer and our traditional choral worship. We are a ‘Major Church’ within the Church of England, and we are larger than fourteen of our country’s cathedrals. We are also a venue for concerts, large civic events, fairs and festivals working in partnership with colleagues throughout the region, the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury Cultural Consortium and Gloucester Cathedral.
Like many heritage assets within the UK, COVID and lockdown presented us with serious challenges to our financial sustainability. We are now responding to those challenges with ambitious plans to double our visitor income and numbers within five years. These plans have been agreed and funded by our Parochial Church Council and are being overseen by our trading arm Tewkesbury Abbey Limited.
We applied for and won a £250,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which will among other projects increase our marketing activity and visitor engagement, including the appointment of a marketing assistant, a volunteers officer and a project manager to oversee the scoping of future capital development plans, and testing activities such as entry by donation. We hope that this will lead to one or more larger-scale capital bids which could lead to a longer-term funding relationship to secure the Abbey as a thriving venue, unique heritage asset and global visitor destination.
In the past year we have hosted Luke Jerram’s ‘Gaia’ installation which was visited by over 20,000 people from across the region, the Luxmuralis immersive projection ‘Space’ and ‘The Longest Yarn’, a commemorative exhibition of knitted D-Day history, followed by Peter Walker’s ‘Peace Doves’ installation. Alongside these we also hosted environmental events, a schools programme, concerts and talks in addition to our core business of of worship and festive services.
As Head of Marketing you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the future plans and development of the Abbey. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide highly skilled, specialised physiotherapy assessment, treatment and physical activity services and classes for people affected by MS. Both in person through our Resource Centre in Belfast and online.
You’ll also play an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided through the MS Society in Northern Ireland.
We’re looking for the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate that they have experience and knowledge of the challenges people with MS face and who can adapt services and support to meet their needs.

This is an exciting position to work with the senior management to deliver an ambitious programme of communication activities aimed at attracting over 20,000 visitors per annum.
You will need to be happy taking own initiative to develop and implement marketing plan under the supervision of the CEO and the Heritage Director. Taking a lead to coordinate the smooth running of the marketing programme with a wide range of tasks from taking photos to coordinating the digital campaign and copy writing / liaising with the graphic designer for leaflet production.

Main Duties:
Organising and administration
● Coordinate & implement the external and internal marketing campaigns communicating the organisation’s work to schools, general public, volunteers, funders and corporate, staff.
● Deliver the digital media campaigns through enews, facebook, twitter, you tube, instagram, pinterest, online blog etc.
● Deliver the off-line campaign through postcards, newsletters
Events
● Assist in developing events programme
● Coordination of mailshots to visitors and schools
● Production of promotional material eg leaflets
● Taking quality photos and videos during events
● Assisting with events operations such as serving refreshments
Content Creation
● Effectively use social media platforms and proactively promote events and share stories.
● Video production and edit video
● Managing the photo database
● Update and development of website content
● Promote Celtic Harmony Camp through displays at exhibitions and events
PR and Editorial
● Production of editorial for press and reviews
● Submission of tourism and education award applications
Telemarketing
· Coordinate and deliver telemarketing campaigns to schools through telephone calls and email to promote the Prehistory programme and new initiatives.
Monitoring
● Monitor and report on marketing performance, through online stats
● Promote Celtic Harmony Camp’s work and impact that will engage with stakeholders
Leadership
● Take part in communications / other staff meetings
● Work alongside Directors to facilitate the organisation communications.
● To act as a positive ambassador for Celtic Harmony, adhering to policies and procedures and guidelines.
Celtic Harmony aims to improve the well-being through lifelong learning at Celtic Harmony Camp.
