Wessex Community Action

Who we are

Wessex Community Action is an independent charity, who's mission is to provide infrastructure support to the voluntary, community and codial enterprise sector across Wiltshire. 

Our purpose is to enable a thriving and resilient VCSE sector where people and organisations make the biggest impact on the communities they serve.

Our culture and values

The values we uphold as an organisation are important:

• We value equality, inclusivity and diversity, and are committed to ensuring everyone has access to the opportunities and support that they need. 
• We believe that the best work is done by working together, and partnership and collaboration is incredibly inportant to us as an organisation. Combining knowledge and resrouces allows us to support the community in an even more impactful way.
• As society changes and our communities along with it, we work hard to ensure adaptability in the way we run our organisation, as well as the way we support the community too.
• We are deicatied to empowering the people and communities around us. By nurturing the work done by organisations, both large and small, we empoiwer the staff, volunteers and community members to be strong and successful.
• We closely monitor the state of the sector to build sustainability in our offers. We dedicate much of our work to supporting those who need it now, whilst considering the long-term impact and adjustments that need to be made to continue to support in the future. 
• We are driven to provide the education and information individuals need to thrive.
• We show gratitude wherever we can. We value our staff, trustees, partners and volunteers, and encourage others to show their gratitide to those who help make the work possible. 
• We respect diversity of thought, as varying opinions and ideas help us to be more well-rounded as an organisation and support our decision-making.
