Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.
Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, diligent and skilled CNS to help develop and provide support services.
Role overview
Over the next 12 months, we have exciting plans to enhance the support services offered by Peaches to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of those affected by womb cancer. We envisage support services delivered will build upon our current monthly virtual peer support coffee mornings to include more bespoke and frequent meetings as well as an online peer support group, online peer events and some in-person events. Remote working contract for 12 hours per week on a 12 month contract. We may request that you attend in person strategy meetings in Manchester on a quarterly basis and some in person support events
Key responsibilities
Development of support services including an online peer support group, online peer support events, webinar series and in person events.
Manage support queries, set up of online events and peer support group including set up and moderation with assistance from charity staff...
Assisting in the development of content related to support services to include in monthly newsletter and social media.
Support the development of medical information pages on website and in print literature.
Help to facilitate the expansion of our network of CNS and healthcare professionals with an interest in womb cancer. Develop relationships to ensure appropriate signposting to charity and national awareness of support services offered through attendance at relevant conferences and events.
Ensure safeguarding of those requesting support and participating in peer support services.
We are looking for someone with the following:
Band 7 qualified Cancer Nurse Specialist with experience of caring for those affected by womb cancer
NMC registered
Previous experience of caring for others in a sensitive manner
Up to date knowledge of womb cancer
Previous experience of facilitating one to one support
Previous experience of facilitating group sessions is desirable but not required

We are seeking a Senior Communications & PR Leader to drive impactful internal and external communications and strengthen our global network. Key Responsibilities:
- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a communications strategy to elevate DfG’s global visibility and impact.
- Public Relations & Branding: Build and strengthen relationships with press contacts, and public relations partners to expand DfG’s reach. Enhance and promote our brand to ensure consistent messaging and representation.
- Content Development: Lead and create content for various channels, including the website, social media, events, annual reviews, and press releases
- Content Execution: Plan, coordinate, and deliver communication activities in partnership with alliance communication leads and external partners.
Key Requirements:
- Passion for DfG's mission to improve life through design
- Senior-level experience in communications, and public relations ideally in an NGO, charity or mission-driven organisation.
- Strong public relations network and a proven track record of securing media coverage for a global organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with strong storytelling abilities (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work independently while motivating and collaborating with colleagues and partners globally.

About the role:
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on all Community Fundraising within their geographical area.
You will be responsible for developing and growing income and engagement within a defined region whilst also delivering first class account management to existing and new fundraisers.

The EPIC Restart Community is an inspiring online network offering community, learning, and connection. Our intensive programmes, Restarting Lives and Woman.Empowered, provide life-changing events, personal development, and recovery coaching.
Our team has grown significantly in recent years. We’ve directly supported over 600 individuals since our pilot launch in May 2021. Additionally, we’ve reached over 20,000 people through online and outreach activities. We’re embarking on a new two-year strategy aimed at becoming a Centre for Excellence in gambling harm recovery. We deliver transformational programmes with measurable impacts and influence stakeholders to increase support for those in recovery.
We currently have a strong financial position, but funding methods are set to change significantly. In 2025, the Government will introduce a statutory levy on gambling operators. Funds will be distributed to commissioners for research, prevention, and treatment grants. This process is still developing, so our path remains uncertain. However, we are optimistic and see growth potential as feedback on our work has been positive.
Who we are looking for
During a period of transformation, we need an experienced leader adept at developing relationships with commissioners. This could stem from the gambling harm sector or other relevant fields like addiction, homelessness, domestic abuse, or mental health.
Our Chief Executive must lead change effectively through ambiguity. Over 70% of our staff and volunteers have a lived connection to gambling harm, so it is vital that you can lead with empathy, kindness, and compassion, particularly during this time of transition.

Our Digital Welfare Officers provide remote welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family, through the use of a variety of communication methods, i.e. Microsoft Teams, webchat, e-mail and social media platforms. About you
To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Confidence in recording data into an electronic information management system is essential, as is the capacity to rapidly acquire new software and application skills. The ability to plan and manage your own workload with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this role. Prior experience in using other Microsoft Office 365 applications to a high standard will be advantageous.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
This role is homebased in the UK, you must live in the UK to be eligible. There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

Alzheimer’s Society is seeking an experienced, proactive, and determined individual with a background in PR (in house or agency) or journalism, who has a strong news sense and proven track record.
With an excellent understanding of regional media, and living within the East of England, East Midlands, Yorkshire, or Lincolnshire as a requirement of this role, you will join a friendly and busy team, working remotely, who support each other to overcome any challenges, achieve results and celebrate success.

About You
- You will be providing a platform for people affected by dementia to be heard – through engaging media campaigns, sourcing interviews and working with journalists on stories that really matter.
- You will be making a real difference by raising awareness. Whether it’s boosting fundraising totals or sign up to events or supporting someone to share their experience so other people living by dementia know they are not alone, and that help is available.
- You have the opportunity and time to develop ideas when leading on key projects and campaigns throughout the year, working in collaboration with other teams across the organisation.
- Enhance your skills in multimedia by creating your own videos and photos, with equipment provided, to build packages of engaging content for regional media.
- Use your expert knowledge and skills to advise on media relations and reputation management and help train and develop spokespeople.
- You will work on varied and interesting campaigns including fundraising, research and influencing and dementia support services – enhancing your own knowledge and expertise.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff.
As a Caseworker you will be: -
- Ensuring each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
- Undertaking risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records, complying with data protection and all other legislation connected to your work and sharing protocols where necessary. Contribute to monitoring information as required by Victim Support.
- Providing information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff and other stakeholders.
You will need:
- An understanding of the impact of crime on victims.
- Experience of managing a caseload including complex case management.
- The ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Purpose of Role:
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will take strategic ownership of income generation across all fundraising income streams.
