About us
Who we are
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in September 2020 and is the leading UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with and affected by womb cancer. Womb cancer is the 4th most common cancer in women, affecting nearly 10,000 women in the UK every year. There is a lack of awareness of the disease and its symptoms amongst the general population and, until recently, there has been very little disease-specific support for patients.
Our vision is a better life for everyone affected by womb cancer.
Our mission is to improve the lives of those with and affected by womb cancer by raising awareness of the disease and its symptoms, supporting patients by providing reliable information and holding wellbeing and support events, and funding and promoting research.
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is a small charity, currently run entirely by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers. Our Trustee board includes health care professionals and researchers who work closely with those affected by womb cancer. This gives us unique insight into their needs and concerns and also an understanding of how dedicated research and changes to current cancer health priorities are vital in helping women with womb cancer live longer healthier lives.
