Job description

We are looking for volunteers to support us in our reception team. Volunteers will assist with some or all of the following tasks, dependent on skills and experience:

• Greet visitors to the hospice 

• Act as a first contact for all telephone and drop-in enquiries.  Aim to deal with the request or forward on to the most appropriate person/team as soon as possible

• Communicate with members of the public, staff members and other organisations, always aiming to build relationships and present Bluebell Wood in the best light 

• Support other teams within the hospice by carrying out some basic administration tasks e.g. making phone calls, sending letters

• Basic IT skills to support with receipting for donations brought in to the reception

• At all times respect confidentiality, in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Act

• Any other reasonable duties that maybe designated by the volunteer supervisor.
