JOB DESCRIPTION
Also known as a Family Activities Coordinator you will work as part of the Family Activities Team to ensure the success, enjoyment and safety of the Family Days, Referred Children’s Groups, Siblings Groups and Parent Groups (together, referred to as Family Activities) within The Ark and out in the Community. Events organisation and working with volunteers are fundamental aspects of this role.
ABOUT YOU
You will be an enthusiastic individual with experience with children and young people. You will have organised events, as well as group work with adults and/or young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as well as being able to prioritise effectively with your great time management and organisation skills. You will also have high levels of integrity, as discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is key to the role.

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our home visiting digital inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within London Borough Councils and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties Responsibilities
· To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.
· Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.
· To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.
· To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
· To work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
· To maintain accurate administration, for all aspects of the project.
· To maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure database.
· To manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.
· To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessment management processes.
· To prepare regular reports including quarterly progress updates, impact reports and end of year reports for both internal and external purposes.

Job Purpose
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator position sits within the Research, Evidence and Learning team and will make a key contribution to the quality of our programmes. The post holder will keep abreast of state-of-the-art M&E approaches to ensure the use of technically appropriate monitoring and evaluation models and information systems. The post holder will support the design of new programmes as well as provide technical advice and input to the monitoring, evaluation and learning of existing programmes. Building MEL Capacity Provide hand-on technical assistance to teams in the monitoring, evaluation and review of existing projects. Support staff with development/use of MEL tools and processes. As our Intergenerational Care Coordinator, you will lead the intergenerational care strategy, organising events and building connections across generations. What will your typical day involve?
You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. Key tasks include organising intergenerational events, creating spontaneous engagement opportunities, and fostering communication with Jewish organisations, synagogues, schools, and community centres.
You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. Impeccable customer service is essential, as you'll welcome visitors and ensure a positive experience. Additionally, you'll develop departmental processes to improve efficiency and promote Nightingale Hammerson’s values.
You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. They must demonstrate a willingness to have a positive impact on people’s lives, possess excellent communication skills with a kind and caring approach, and have a strong understanding of Jewish culture and way of life.
Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.
Flexibility to meet service needs and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are key.
Experience in healthcare or educational settings is required, along with experience in leading or coordinating groups. The candidate should have experience designing lesson plans, and while experience in leading intergenerational engagements is desirable, it is not essential.

Our Activity Service
The Activity Service is an important part of our organisation, delivering high quality activities to the older people of Merton. Our Activity team create and deliver a wide range of activities including a daily lunch club, crafting, poetry, singing and exercises at our centre in Mitcham and other locations across the borough of Merton.
The Activity service is busy and vibrant where no two days are the same, the service has over 10,000 attendees a year, taking part in over 700 activities and exercise classes. The service enables our community to live more healthily, happily and independently in later life.
Age UK Merton is in its second year of a new 3-year Strategic Plan, which aims to increase outreach and engagement across the borough, and our activities programme is a very important part of that.
About the Role
We are recruiting an Activity Coordinator to support the Activity Service Manager in the delivery and development of the Activity service.
The Activities Coordinator will be a hands-on role, working with the team to deliver a wide range of activities both existing and new at our centre and across the borough of Merton.
The role will play a key part in organising the delivery of existing activities, ensuring they are delivered to an exceptional standard with the service users at the heart of the service.
