We want to reach everyone with blood cancer, regardless of circumstances, with the support they need to navigate their blood cancer, so they have the best possible chance of living well with blood cancer. Our Service Transformation Lead is instrumental in enabling us to meet this aim, by delivering a transformational shift in how people affected by blood cancer become aware of, access and trust the portfolio of valued products and services we provide. 

This is a relatively new role – the permanent post holder has held the role for two months and laid some foundations, and is now looking for a 13-month maternity cover. We are looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to embed this new role and team in the organisation, and ensure our service transformation programme (made up of four key workstreams) is strategically aligned, working on scalable and sustainable products and services that meet user needs and strategic goals.   

Expected travel for this role is approximately 2-4 visits to the office per month. Frequent travel to the office will be required during busier periods.

About the role

The Parkinson’s UK Tech Guide connects people with Parkinson’s to devices and apps that could improve their quality of life, with the information and tools for people to choose the right solutions for them. 

As part of a small team and reporting to the Catalogue and Community Lead, you will support them in creating clear and comprehensive product reviews. You will also moderate contributions from our community of users and help create and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the charity. This means working with people inside Parkinson’s UK and from our community, as well as with the companies who make and sell the tech in our catalogue.

• Help the Catalogue and Community Lead to manage the catalogue of devices and apps, including compiling and editing listing pages.
• Help the Catalogue and Community Lead to write and edit comprehensive product reviews.
• Help manage relationships with end users of the Tech Guide – people with Parkinson’s, their family and carers, and healthcare professionals – ensuring all stakeholders have the best possible experience.
• Provide user support, manage user-generated content, and enforce our code of conduct.

• Contribute your ideas and feedback to the development and growth of the Tech Guide itself.

The evidence from the Charity Digital Skills Report; Joseph Rowntree's Grassroots and Nonprofits research and our own AI survey shows that charities are unlikely to benefit from - or respond to the challenges of - AI without intentional support and capacity building. To support charities’ (critical) adoption of AI we need to invest in supporting sector-experiments that create demonstrable impact (acting as showcases), working alongside the peer groups, charities and working groups to help move conversations into practical action.

To achieve that, we are looking to recruit a Head of Design for AI to focus on driving forward this work in a number of different ways:

• Blending expertise in AI technologies with human-centered design principles to foster innovation and inclusivity across the social sector;
• Providing direct support to organisations and specific product design advice;
• Designing a range of experiments and tools alongside the sector and CAST team;
• Supporting the design and development of specific programmes, training and interventions that will help shift the sector on AI

About the role

At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.

This role is an exciting new opportunity to shape and deliver on Motability Foundation’s aims to become more insights led and to systematically involve disabled people in our decision making. You will support the Head of Insight and Evaluation in providing the organisation with insight drawn from existing research, primary research, business data and through user insight. The role will lead development of a user insight approach and clear mechanisms to involve disabled people in the Foundation’s decisions systematically. The role will establish a user insight research community (akin to a customer panel but broader in scope), which the organisation can draw from for user insight.

The role is also responsible for delivering a strategic research and insight plan for the organisation to inform operational and strategic decisions, including feeding into our strategy mid-term review. Others in the organisations will also carry out research and hence this function has a role in setting standards for quality research, a coordinating role in ensuring a cross-organisational understanding of ongoing research to avoid duplication, and to draw insights and disseminate these to relevant internal and external audiences.

Must haves:

Nice to haves

• Experience of disability inclusive research – this is essential to the role. However, we will ensure appropriate training for those who do not have these skills.
• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools (e.g., MAXQDA, R) and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI).
• Proven quantitative and qualitative research skills and familiarity with working with large datasets.

The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. To be successful in your application you'll need:

• Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
• Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.
• Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
• Experience in writing for the web or digital channels and creating content tailored to a variety of audiences.

The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.

Job purpose

• This role will support the delivery of Willow’s programme of Major Events, as well as supporting third party events, ensuring that these promote and present Willow in a professional and compelling manner, maximising opportunities for donor cultivation, fundraising and maximising income generation.
• To work with the Events Manager on delivering events to an exceptional standard.
• To lead on auction procurement and fulfilment to maximise fundraising revenue.

Key responsibilities

Core Events

• To support the events strategy through delivery of high-quality events, designed to attract current and new supporters.
• To support the Events Fundraising Manager in ensuring that each event plan is actioned in a timely and efficient manner, as well as working with external suppliers, ensuring all suppliers work to agreed terms and conditions
• To assist in the research, development and planning of potential new event opportunities, ensuring that the events programme evolves in response to new fundraising requirements, opportunities and sector trends.

Auction
