The Domestic Abuse Marginalised Communities Worker will provide support and interventions to those affected by domestic abuse to empower and support and break the cycle of domestic abuse throughout their journey with Stop Domestic Abuse, regardless of risk. The Navigator will be committed to family work and proactively work to recognise and implement solution focused actions to ensure eradicate domestic abuse from families lives.

The Domestic Abuse Marginalised Communities Worker will provide additional expertise to the wider team and enrich the service with specialist knowledge and guidance relating to victims who may experience additional barriers to accessing support from our service due to their ethnicity. The Lead Navigator will develop initiatives, workshops and training packages for both internal and external professionals. The role will encompass peer to peer support, direct one-to-one support to victims who may be at medium or high risk of harm, whilst also engaging with communities and local organisations in the local area to improve our response to domestic abuse. This role does not involve the line management of staff.

The Portsmouth Service operates as one team, and all staff are responsible for taking referrals for all aspects of the service, offering immediate support, advice and assessments to clients or people contacting the service, welcoming families into refuge and completing relevant paperwork, and ensuring the smooth running of the service.  This will include providing cover when required for absent colleagues to ensure that the core functions of the service are delivered and responding to changing demand in service provision. The Portsmouth Service is a team committed to whole family work, when safe to do safe, creating a family journey through the service.

The Portsmouth Service is staffed 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. This role’s working pattern will fall within the hours of 9am-5pm Monday- Friday.

It is essential that the postholder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes as this role covers multiple sites in Portsmouth.

Job Title: Freelance Facilitator

Programme Facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority. They must embrace responsibility and are accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower young people to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with school and their own future. They give each young person the time, the confidence and skills to engage with their education.

You will work in schools and community settings to support young people and their families to ensure that at-risk children and young people make the most of their potential and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes.

The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community. This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.

Donor Management (~40%)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
• Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
• Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.

Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)

General Administration and Team Support (~10%)

The Role

The Drive Partnership works across the domestic abuse specialist sector, public sector partners and beyond to develop sustainable, national systems in England and Wales that respond effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. In this key role, the Senior Project Management Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective project management of a number of our projects and providing administrative support for the wider Drive Partnership Teams.

As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) a key element of this will be supporting the Drive team and Drive Partnership organisations – SafeLives and Respect, with development and delivery of training products to support workforce development in the perpetrator services sector.  

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term for 2 years (with possibility of extension).

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. We are looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Legacy & In Memory Direct Marketing Officer on a fixed term basis, to deliver Battersea’s Legacy and In Memory marketing and fundraising programme by independently managing multi-channel direct and wider marketing campaigns to recruit and attract new Legacy and In Memory donors.

The ideal candidate would have experience planning, implementing and evaluating direct marketing campaigns across a range of media channels, the ability to analyse results of campaigns and a passion for helping dogs and cats.

Main responsibilities and duties

To:

1. Coordinate and develop a wellbeing programme that supports the mental health and wellbeing of NST service users and the wider Braunstone community of LE3 1.

2. Support individual service user wellbeing by referring into activity delivered by NST and other local community partners.

3. Undertake regular wellbeing check-ins with service users to monitor progress and impact of engagement with wellbeing activity.

4. Update the company’s CRM system with participant information in line with GDPR and record progress and impact.

5. Develop, implement and maintain effective monitoring and recording systems: capturing and recording data to demonstrate the programme reach, providing reports and other information as required.

6. Support the Service Manager to maintain accurate budgets and financial records especially for monitoring funding grant returns.

7. Support the Service Manager in the development of funding bids to support delivery and expansion of the wellbeing programme.

8. Build and maintain partnerships which will support the development of wellbeing programmes.

9. Source, arrange and co-ordinate facilitators and practitioners suitable to deliver any planned activity.

10.  Ensure that adequate risk assessments are undertaken prior to any activities and that confidentiality and safeguarding protocols are followed.

11.  Support the Communications and Project Support Worker to promote the programme by developing copy and marketing material for circulation on the various company social media platforms and website.

12.  Support the supervision of activities, including the staff and volunteers where applicable.

13.  Represent and champion the services provided by NST as required at external events and meetings.

14.  Work in partnership with the Wellbeing Facilitator to ensure that the over 50s programme is developed and delivered in line with the overarching wellbeing programme.

15.  Work in partnership with the Training Support Worker to ensure the Men’s Group is delivered in line with the overarching wellbeing programme.

General Duties:

16.  Attend and participate in team meetings, training and events that ensure the effective sharing of information and co-ordination the team’s activities.

17.  Undertake administrative and maintenance duties that assist in the smooth running of the NS base. This will include taking collective responsibility in relation to matters of health and safety, equipment maintenance, data protection and confidentiality management; and visitor service and care.

18.  Ensure that all NST activities are undertaken in line with the legal requirements and b inspired policy, procedures and good practice. This includes the production of risk assessments and other data that can demonstrate effective and safe planning.

19.  Undertake consultations in-line with the Neighbourhood Action Plan and work alongside other members of the NST to gather, collate and analyse information that inform perceived local need/s.

20.  Work outside normal office hours and at weekends as and when required.

Personal specification

Baca is looking for a Support Worker who can join the support team and provide support, care and be a role model for young people who are newly arrived refugees and victims of trafficking aged 16 to 18. They will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care.

The successful applicant will have the ability to ensure the support we give to the young people is of the highest quality and goes beyond the statutory standards set. At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. The purpose of the Area Giving and Finance Adviser role is to provide comprehensive finance support to churches within the Stepney Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. A Mentoring Team Lead will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.
