About us
Who we are
Power2 is a children and young people’s charity. Our vision is a world where all children - no matter their background or challenges - can thrive and reach their full potential. We unleash the power of children and young people so that they can build happy and fulfilling lives. With our support, they improve their wellbeing, re-engage with school and learning, build networks and access opportunities.
Since 2001 over 27,000 children and young people experiencing vulnerabilities have participated in our 1:1 and group programmes.
Our work improves lives and reduces the considerable cost to society caused by unfulfilled potential.
Our culture and values
Our programmes are designed to develop crucial life skills, improve confidence and boost self-esteem through mentoring and positive psychology.
By focusing our programmes on helping children and young people to build a positive relationship and act as role models, 73% of young people who participated in our Teens and Toddlers programme said they felt like a person of worth at the end of it.
We target children and young people who are at a critical point in their lives and struggling with school - for whatever reason. Our programmes are designed so children and young people can get the most out of their education and reach their potential.
We look beyond the problems children and young people face, and towards their potential. We nurture the assets, talents, resources and abilities all children possess.
Everything we do focuses on at least one of three things:
Delivering programmes that incorporate mentoring and positive psychology.
Evidencing our impact.
Speaking out.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We believe that the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are central to our work. As a charity that works to ensure that all young people can reach their potential, we strive to ensure that anyone who engages with us finds it easy to do so, and feels they are supported and treated fairly, with dignity and respect. We aim for our workforce to be representative of all sections of society and our beneficiaries, and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.
