The Role
The North West England Methodist District (NWED) is seeking to appoint a Digital Enabler. The role is home-based, with travel throughout the District. The Digital Enabler will facilitate the effective participation by all members in the life of the Church in the North West England District by supporting stakeholders at all levels to facilitate digital evangelism and building and maintaining the District’s online presence.

NWED came to being in September 2024 following the joining together of a number of Methodist Districts. We cover the geographical area of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and parts of Cheshire and Derbyshire. Within this are inner city, industrial, post-industrial, suburban, and rural areas – no two towns are the same.
The District embraces a rich breadth and variety of theological perspectives and worship styles. A range of fresh expressions of Church (messy church, café church, arts-based projects, digital spaces etc.) are nurtured without neglecting the other, more traditional, expressions and all are equally valued.
We exist primarily to advance the mission of the Methodist Church in our District by supporting churches and circuits (a circuit is a group of churches served by a team, including one or more ministers). The District seeks to support each circuit and church to meet the needs of their members and the communities in which they serve, offering opportunities to worship, work and learn together.

We are seeking a Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) to work mainly on our Research Grant Programme. As part of our Research Funding team, you will support high quality and innovative research on the effects of diet, nutrition, physical activity, and body size on cancer prevention and survival, managing an international portfolio of projects and working closely with leading researchers around the world.
In addition to the Research Grant programme, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other Research Funding activities such as our Academy programme and work closely with colleagues across the Science department and with other departments such as PR & Editorial and Fundraising.
The Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) will work mainly on the post award phase (e.g. active monitoring of funded projects, liaison with our grant holders, supporting our Academy programme initiative and evaluation of the impact of our funded research).
You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

Overview
To date, Global Dialogue’s finances has been overseen by an external accountancy firm. Over the last eighteen months, we have been working towards bringing our finance function in house. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the reins and complete the development and roll out of our internal finance function.
The Head of Finance is a new role within the organisation that is both strategic and handson. In the first phase, the postholder will be required to roll up their sleeves and, with the support of Global Dialogue’s Finance Officer, get stuck into the detail of financial administration, including overseeing twice monthly pay runs, monthly and quarterly closes, and other day-to-day financial management tasks. Alongside this, the role will lead on bringing the finance function fully in house, eventually taking on full responsibility for the preparation of management and statutory accounts, cashflow and FX management, and budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will play a key coaching role for the Finance Officer, with a view to eventually delegating all bookkeeping tasks. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring finance systems are innovative, robust and fit for purpose, and will be a business partner to our hosted programmes, providing advice on compliance and strategic matters.

The role:

About the role:
The Gray's Inn Road supported accommodation project is a 16-bed short stay accommodation service which holds a critical position in the endeavour to address rough sleeping in the London Borough of Camden. The service, funded by the Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden council aligns with the strategic vision to make rough sleeping rare, brief, and non-recurrent in Camden. Although there is not a defined maximum stay, the service is designed to be a ‘short stay’ project and will aim to move people on into suitable housing options after 3-6 months.
As a resettlement worker you will provide flexible housing related support to vulnerable clients across the service. Clients within the service will often be experiencing multiple disadvantages, including substance misuse, mental and physical health issues and contact with the criminal justice system.
The resettlement worker will need to be resilient, innovative, flexible and creative, working alongside support workers to support clients in becoming move on ready. You will also need to be able to facilitate appropriate move ons from the service by identifying tailored move on support for each client dependent on their support needs, which will require knowledge of housing pathways.
The resettlement worker will be expected to develop strong relationships with housing providers, including private rented sector landlords.
About you:
- A demonstrable understanding of the Recovery Model, and the ability to engage and motivate people to move towards independence and inclusion.

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team (SMT), this is an exciting opportunity to be the first Director of People for the charity, which has grown rapidly since its inception in 2020. You will have the opportunity to shape your future team, which currently includes a Senior Manager of HR & Ops who is interim and some support from our Operations Officer.
This is a part time position - 3 or 4 days per week.

United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness and funds to protect refugees through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.
Our supporters include UK private individuals, communities, corporate partners, trusts and foundations. The funds we raise help UNHCR deliver emergency relief such as shelter, medical care and basic supplies to people fleeing conflict and persecution, as well as healthcare, education and livelihoods opportunities for those who remain displaced over the long term.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive People & Skills Strategy aligned with the charity’s mission and goals.
- Develop the annual budget and manage expenditure for all areas of responsibility.
- Lead the creation of a positive organisational culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels.
- Advise the CEO and senior leadership on HR issues, trends, and best practices.
- Champion staff well-being, engagement, and development, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Represent the charity at external HR and humanitarian forums, conferences, and events.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees and lead in the management of the Board’s Remuneration Committee.
Recruitment and Talent Management
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the charity attracts diverse and qualified candidates.
- Develop talent retention strategies, ensuring the charity is an employer of choice in the humanitarian sector.
- Implement learning and development programmes to nurture leadership, enhance skills, and ensure compliance with sector-specific training (e.g., fundraising / line management skills, safeguarding, data protection).
Performance and HR Compliance
- Oversee performance management systems, ensuring they are fair, transparent, and supportive of staff development.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, including employment contracts, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and workplace policies.
- Provide oversight of health and safety regulations, safeguarding standards, and risk management across all organisational levels.
- Responsible for maintaining and continuousy improving the charity’s HR software system and other HR platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws for all HR related information.
- Use data to generate insights, inform decision-making and improve processes.
Employee Engagement and Culture
- Lead on creating a culture of collaboration, empathy, and shared commitment to the charity’s values.
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and motivation.
- Ensure effective communication channels between leadership and staff, including regular staff surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role in the UK charity sector.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and most recent best practices. A commitment to continuous professional development in this area.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience implementing organisational change in this area.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues sensitively and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organisation.
- Level 7 CIPD qualification (or equivalent) highly desirable.
- Experience working in international agencies or NGOs highly desirable.
- Understanding of refugee issues and/or experience working with vulnerable communities would be a significant advantage.

About the role:
We are seeking a committed and resilient Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker to join our dedicated team at our Female Supported Accommodation Service. Our service provides vital support to women facing a range of complex challenges, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, and experiences of violence and abuse.
As a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you will:
- Provide specialist interventions and one-to-one support to a caseload of women with complex needs.
- Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), utilising trauma-informed practices to support women who may have experienced rough sleeping, domestic violence (DV), or violence against women and girls (VAWG).
- Collaborate with external agencies such as Adult Social Care, Health, Mental Health, and other specialist providers to enhance access to services and improve outcomes.
- Support and guide Project Workers, sharing your expertise and setting best practice standards for complex needs support.
- Advocate for your clients, helping them navigate the health and social care systems to access the services they deserve.
- Work creatively and flexibly to engage with hard-to-reach clients, providing them with the confidence and skills to maintain their progress.

Liberty is looking for a creative and strategic lawyer to join its legal team. Strategic litigation is core to Liberty’s work. Our lawyers work closely with the rest of the organisation using casework and legal advice to help Liberty reach its strategic goals. You will be responsible for running a small caseload of strategic litigation, conducting interventions and providing specialist human rights advice. A large part of the role is identifying and then scoping potential cases, working closely with other organisations to develop the litigation in a collaborative and creative way.
