Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the National Leadership Team representative for national events, you will manage the events team to deliver excellent service and event support for all New Wine events. This exciting role involves overseeing all aspects of event production, from content development to logistics and delegate management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the strategic vision and goals of the events are realised, delivering an outstanding experience for global audiences. 

The Events Team exists to support New Wine delegates, volunteers, and staff with the initial planning, coordination, and delivery of all New Wine events held throughout the year. This includes two annual national events, the New Wine Festival and the New Wine Leadership Conference, as well as a number of smaller events such as the Reset Women’s Conference, Worship Nights, and Network Days. 

Areas of Responsibility:

Event Team Leadership: 

• Line manage, train, and develop the events team, which consists of 5 individuals (one vacant), 3 of whom are direct reports. 

• Motivate the team, communicating effectively and building relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders and partners. 

• Set appropriate goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), managing them effectively to drive activity and performance. 

• Join the core team in regular meetings, updating and chairing event specific discussions.  

• Coordinating with other departments to rethink processes and strategy. 
   

Event Planning: 

• Manage and oversee the New Wine events calendar to ensure that events are planned in a coordinated manner.

• Liaise with specific event leadership teams to determine the vision, goals, and requirements for each New Wine event. 

• Set up and chair event planning meetings for national events, monitoring that planning is on schedule and within budget. 

• Support Event Managers in the planning and delivery of smaller events. 

• Manage external consultants and professionals who support with delivery of events including Production Project Manager and Technical Production Manager. 
   

Event Delivery: 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 

• Oversee the production, delegate and team experience on-site at any New Wine event. This includes managing the Production Project manager, front desk service team and back-office functions such as ticketing, accommodation, village allocation, telephone and email response, and volunteer team leader oversight and engagement.

St Peter’s Charity is a small Charity founded in 1861. Once an order of Anglican religious sisters running hospitals, today the Charity runs St Columba’s House Christian retreat and conference centre and a small grant making trust. We are based in Woking, Surrey.

A part time Finance Manager is needed to cover all the finance and accounting functions within the Charity from payroll to producing monthly management accounts and presenting reports at Trustee meetings. This role is varied and rewarding as it plays an important part in the management of our Charity.

We are seeking a suitably qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) who is warm, approachable and efficient.

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Bethnal Green  - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
• Handling safeguarding
• Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
• Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
• Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees

Training the Graduate Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

Working requirements, salary & benefits

• Salary between £22,000 and £24,000 dependant on location and experience, plus pension scheme

• One year fixed term contract; we aim to support all Graduate coaches to progress to other roles with us after this initial year, with development towards management level within 3 years.

The Associate Children’s Pastor will be vital in enabling this growth to happen by working alongside the Children’s Pastor, Lauren Goodall, taking responsibility for certain areas of the ministry as well as developing new initiatives.

We see Operations as a key ministry in the life of the church. Our existing church Admin Team covers events, communications, volunteer coordination, data handling and safeguarding administration, whilst management roles have generally been held by pastoral staff. In appointing an Operations Leader, we are seeking someone “well respected, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom” (Acts 6:3), whose managerial skill will release other leaders to focus on pastoral ministry.

The Operations Leader will work with our senior leaders to build and run systems that support church growth, and will be responsible for:

• Cultivating a culture in which volunteers thrive
• Leading on finance, governance, HR and compliance
• Use and development of our building
• Oversight of church admin team

The Congregational Federation is an Association of Independent local churches whose mission is to equip, enable, engage and empower the churches in their mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. It came into being in 1972 following the apportionment of the assets of the former Congregational Union in England and Wales. The object of the Federation is the advancement of the Christian faith.

We are seeking to recruit a Children and Families’ Pioneer to work in the valley’s town of Tredegar. As part of a team you will lead regular activities and events to impact the lives of children and families so that they can discover the deep love of God. From toddler groups to holiday clubs, school engagement to parenting classes, the opportunities are endless. If you are someone with energy and vision who can make connections and build relationships, we have a supportive team waiting to work with you in this well-resourced project. Together we will plant a new worshipping community based at St George’s Tredegar.

This post is suitable for someone who has previously worked with children possibly as a teacher, TA or as a children’s worker within the church. You may have previously worked in the third sector or for the local authority with families?

Main Tasks:

• Pioneer new initiatives to develop children and families’ ministry and expand our outreach in the local area; including appropriate use of the liturgical calendar and community initiatives such as holiday clubs, and toddler groups.
• Recruit and coach voluntary teams, pastoring all members on the Children and Youth teams.
• Build relationships and partnerships with schools, colleges and community groups, and where applicable, be the first point of contact for them.
• To ensure the Church in Wales constitution, policies, and practises are followed and strong safeguarding practises are embedded into their ethos so that all pipeline activities are a safe space.
• Oversee all child protection, organising training and DBS checks.

River Church Ipswich is an HTB Network church plant in the town centre of Ipswich, which launched in September 2021 and has already grown quickly into a thriving resource church, with a congregation of more than 200, and three Sunday services.

The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the River Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

• Responsibility for maintenance and development of Resurgo’s website, delivering engaging content with a focus on dynamic visuals and videos, tailored to our different website audiences.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective.
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.

Oversight of Spear Programme Spear

Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions and a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there.

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education

Line management and training

• Manage the Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Be line managed by River Church staff, locally, and by Resurgo, nationally, to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPI.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members, and help the Assistant coaches to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Ensuring the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church
• Work with the Head of Operations and Fundraising Assistant to prepare successful grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Attend and participate in Staff Meeting, Tuesday morning Prayer Meeting, and Sunday Services (serving on a team at one or more Sunday service) • Regularly pray for Spear, River Church, and in particular our Social Transformation work.
• Attending other River Church events and services, occasionally speaking and/or contributing as required • Ad hoc tasks and other project work.

Site management

• Liaise with relevant staff locally on site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.

Vocations and Placements (18-30) Development Officer

Location: Hybrid (Cliff College Derbyshire or London) or Home-Based

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House or Cliff College have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.

The Vacancy

The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.

This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:

• The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.

• Advocating for, supporting and enabling creative and relevant young adult ministry to be started and embedded in circuits and districts by journeying with local circuits/districts, providing advice and mentoring as appropriate to pilot creative projects for young adults to engage with and grow in discipleship and vocation.

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by the Methodist Church.

This post holds a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a member in good standing of a church in association with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CBTI) or equivalent.

Trafford Methodist Circuit (the Methodist Churches in the Trafford area) seek to appoint a part-time Operations Manager. The successful applicant will play a leading role in operational matters across the Circuit. This role will release resources for mission by helping to provide professional management, advice and oversight in the areas of property management, operations, compliance and administration.

The successful applicant will be required to work within the strategic direction of the circuit as shaped by the Circuit Leadership Team and in line with Methodist Church disciplines.

This role is pivotal in equipping Christian parents, grandparents, and all passionate about nurturing faith in the next generation. You'll be publishing digital content that's both timely and relevant, championing the needs of Christian parents across Premier’s platforms. We are looking for a skilled communicator who has experience in discipling children and/or young people. You’ll be digitally savvy with a flair for writing or broadcasting. 

Role Overview

In this role you will:

•            Commission 5 articles weekly for the Premier NexGen brand. 

•            Champion the needs of young people and parents across Premier’s platforms. 

•            Curate and create high-quality content for premiernexgen and social media. 

•          Utilize analytics to maximize content reach. 

•            Network with church and youth ministry experts. 

•            Manage budgets and ensure content aligns with Premier's brand voice.
