About us
Who we are
Holy Trinity is the Parish Church of Roehampton.
We aspire to be a channel for the love of God in Christ Jesus in Roehampton, to help people find faith in the Risen Lord and live full lives as disciples of Christ, and to bring people (of all faiths or none) together for good to help make Roehampton more as God intended it to be.
In the next three to five years, we hope to see the church (by which we mean the body of people who come together to worship, not the building where we meet!) grow in numbers, in depth of faith, in breadth of love for one another and service to the wider community.
In practical terms we offer a space for prayer (the building is open during the day), twice daily opportunities for shared prayer, a weekly service for the whole church family and anyone who wants to join us, all the usual seasonal festivals, and, throughout the week, outreach to the community, through school assemblies, involvement in community groups, concerts, community events, direct action, and simply living in this place doing our best (which is inevitably not that great!) to live like Jesus.
Our culture and values
Holy Trinity is the Parish Church for Roehampton. Here for everyone.
God became a human being in Jesus Christ to give us eternal: life that goes on for ever; life here and now filled with joy and peace . The Church family exists to help us take hold of this, for each of us, and for Roehampton. Come and join in: shape it and be shaped by it.
Bring your sorrows and your strengths;
bring your prayers and your doubts;
bring your hopes and fears,
bring your skills and your embarrassing habits,
bring your wisdom and your irritability.
God loves the whole of each of us, and there is a place here for who you really are.
Everyone has something to give, and something to receive – and it is giving that we receive.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Our equality, diversity and inclusion policy is to live the Gospel.
The fundamental equality of value between all human beings is not written in stone, or derived from some abstract consideration of philosophical theory. The only reason we know that everyone is of equal value, that we owe our love to all, not just to people "like us" is because God became a human being two thousand years ago and told us so. All human beings are made in the image of God. We are called to love one another as God loved us. As a church we live that out in detail, day by day, the best we can, God being our helper.
