Reporting to the Public Engagement Manager, the Public Engagement Officer will work as part of a team to deliver our mission of meaningfully involving patients and the public across Academy activities and in the way we work.
You will collaborate with colleagues across the Academy, our Fellows and our grant awardees to help deliver projects that ensure the Academy connects with patients, carers and members of the public in new and accessible ways. You will organise and evaluate programmes that feed public views into our policy advice and grants and careers programmes. Our current priorities include supporting more diverse communities to take part in conversations about health and research and developing new workstreams on health inequalities and climate change.
You will do this all by building strong relationships with public and patient groups and connecting with individuals to understand and provide the support they need to be involved in our work.
What you will be doing:
- Support the delivery of events, workshops and training to feed public, patient and carer views into our policy, career development and grants programmes.
- Research and scope topics, formats, speakers, audiences and participants for public engagement and involvement activities.
- Assist with data collection, analysis and reporting for programme and event evaluations.
- Develop resources and deliver processes that support participants in Academy engagement and involvement activities - particularly administration for patient payments and arranging individual access and support packages.
- Make connections with people, organisations and communities to broaden participation in Academy public engagement and involvement activities.
- Connect with colleagues across the organisation to encourage and support their participation in engagement and involvement activities and knowledge of best practice.
- Identify and connect with non-traditional or underserved audiences for engagement projects and ensure public engagement activities promote diversity and inclusivity.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Property Assistant, providing efficient and responsive administrative support across the full property team. You will be a friendly, motivated, and active administrator who will play a key role in the smooth running of the property department.
You will be pro-active, organised, with good initiative being the main point of contact responding to estate and property related enquiries and reports of issues, from tenants, customers, contractors and the community. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support across the Property team, including daily active filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and record keeping.
- Initial point of contact for enquiries to the Property team.

- A minimum of one year’s experience in a busy property department.

The Team
The Administrative Assistant will work within the operations team to support the smooth running of the London office including managing the office environment, managing suppliers, liaising with our IT support, and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently. This role will also support REDRESS’ projects with administrative tasks including support with the delivery of events and organising travel.
Position Profile
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Events support: Assist with delivering internal and external events, including booking flights, hotels, catering, venues, checking VISA requirements, organising interpretation, preparing logistics, drafting forms.
Projects support: Assist with project tasks and support the delivery of activities to strengthen our ‘Community of Practice’ (partner NGOs globally) which includes support with workshops, surveys, follow-up, and newsletters.

Terms
Reporting. The position is part of the Operations team and will report to the Operations Manager.
Hours. This is a full-time position at 35 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may be required from time to time.
Location. The position is based at the REDRESS office in London.
Flexible Working. REDRESS is an “in-person” organisation and we value team work, but we have a flexible working policy which allows for working from home. This role is currently required to be in the office at least three days a week.
Salary. REDRESS has fixed salary scales, with annual cost of living increases, and the possibility of step increases with strong performance. This is an entry level assistant position, and the salary is £31,681 which is A1 on our salary structure.
Duration. The contract is for a fixed-term of 12 months, but is expected to be extended, subject to funding.
Start date. The position would start in January 2025.
Probation. There is a six-month probationary period.
Pension. REDRESS offers a pension contribution of 10% of salary.
Holiday. There are 25 days of holiday per year, in addition to UK public holidays. The office is also closed between Christmas and New Year.
Status. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor a UK immigration process for this role.

You will work collaboratively with a team of research and data analysis professionals to support the team's objectives and contribute to the wider goals of the NFCC.
Your role will involve using your skills to deliver valuable insights through effective information gathering, detailed analysis, and comprehensive reporting. You will work on both routine and ad-hoc projects, supporting the team in responding to major events within the fire and rescue sector.
Key responsibilities of a Research & Insight Analyst:
Following the processes and policies set out in the A&I team’s terms of reference document, to ensure high quality, consistent approaches to all work.
Designing and executing information gathering exercises, ensuring that they are clear, easy to understand and will yield the information required to produce the identified output.
Information gathering methods primarily include designing online survey tools and question sets but can also include workshops, interviews and focus groups.
Ensuring the validation and quality assurance of any information gathered to ensure that all insights gathered are accurate and statistically significant.
Interpreting findings and drawing meaningful conclusions using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.

Familiarity with research methodologies and outputs, such as literature reviews, and using them to identify trends, gaps, and best practices

The successful candidate will have:
Experience working as a research analyst, or equivalent

The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. Main Responsibilities:
- Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
- Construction of automated tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.

About the role
We are looking for a Driver and Admin Assistant who will be responsible for transporting office staff, visiting Sightsavers personnel, and consultants as needed. The Driver will also ensure the maintenance and safety of all office vehicles. Additionally, the Driver will perform clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the office.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely within the laws of Benin at all times and with respect for other road users and pedestrians.
- Pick up Sightsavers staff to and from the airport where this service is not outsourced.
- Check fuel, oil, and water daily and fill up as necessary.
- Keep vehicles in a clean condition inside and outside.
- Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles, including simple repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and advise the Finance & Administrative Assistant when servicing is required and/or when defects/problems arise.
- Make sure all vehicles have reflectors, fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, etc. First aid boxes for the vehicles must be checked regularly to ensure that items used are promptly replenished.
- Keep a maintenance record of vehicles
- Maintain liaison with officials of immigration and embassies for staff entry visas and renewal of passports and work permits.
- Assist in picking up invoices for procuring logistics.
