St. Paul’s Secondary School is a small independent school located in the heart of Balsall Heath.
Our provision is targeted to meet the special educational needs of young people, aged 11 – 16 years, who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
In previous settings our pupils have exhibited challenging behaviours, which are frequently associated with a wide range of complex conditions, including ASD, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and challenging behaviour.
We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our team and to make a difference in children's lives every single day. As a Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership with the children, families and school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children we support.
You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality, engagement in learning, improved behaviour in school and the local community as well as improving social and emotional regulation and well-being.
You will have excellent relationship building and communications skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, you will need:

· Primary school trainees will need a GCSE grade 4/C or above in science, or equivalent
· By the start of the training, successful candidates must have permission to work in the UK full-time for the duration of the programme.

Tuition fees:
All trainees will need to pay tuition fees unless you are a salaried trainee and your school has explicitly offered to pay your fees. Tuition fees for our Teacher Training programme are £9,535 for full-time study and £7,145 per year for part-time study. If you are eligible for a student loan in the UK, you can get a student loan to cover these costs, as well as a maintenance grant up to £13,762.
If you want to train as a secondary trainee teacher, you may be able to apply for funding to cover the costs of your tuition fees through a bursary or scholarship, which you would not need to pay back.
Funding:
We offer a few salaried placements, but if you do not choose a salaried teacher training course, and depending on your subject choice, you may be eligible to receive funding through a bursary or a scholarship up to £31,000, which you do not have to pay back. What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

Overview
You will be focusing on the encouragement of planned giving, the continued introduction of contactless giving and the Parish Giving Scheme, supporting 2 treasurers and contributing to materials to assist parishes in becoming Joyful Generous Stewards. Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme

- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by York Vineyard Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
- Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within York Vineyard Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation
- Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time

The Advancement Division is in search of two driven, tactful, and diplomatic Development Managers to join their ambitious team to help maximise philanthropic income opportunities for the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The overarching strategy of Advancement is to raise philanthropic funds for scholarships, academic positions, research centres and capital projects, securing donations and financial support from those who are committed to our academic mission and building Imperial’s global reputation. The Division oversees a wide programme of events that seek to expand the Imperial’s reach, strengthen and enlarge our supporter base, increase philanthropic support and engage alumni, friends and other stakeholders in the life of the College. This is a high impact and high visibility division which relies on extremely motivated and skilled fundraising professionals to deliver a quality end-to-end gift giving experience.
In addition to supporting College-wide fundraising objectives, each post will support their respective Faculty to deliver their mission to provide the highest quality teaching, learning and research environment.
The Development Manager Faculty of Natural Sciences post will focus on the fundamental scientific disciplines of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Life Sciences. The Faculty also hosts the Centre for Environmental Policy and the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment.
The Development Manager Faculty of Engineering post will focus on the full range of engineering disciplines across all ten of our academic departments. The Faculty's model for supporting cross-College multidisciplinary research provides space for new and existing activities to flourish and translate research outcomes into products, processes and services that benefit wider society.
What you would be doing:
This career opportunity promises to be varied and will utilise your experience gained in roles such as a Development Manager, Major Gifts Officer, Development Officer, Fundraising Specialist or similar.
Key duties will include:
• Managing high priority donor and prospective donor relationships and strategic projects, with the aim of soliciting major gifts (£50k+) in support of the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Natural Sciences, as well as the wider College’s fundraising objectives.
• Developing and delivering on key areas of major gifts fundraising strategy.
• Being a trusted advisor both within and outside the Advancement Division for identifying innovative ways to capitalise on fundraising opportunities.
This career opportunity will suit an individual with drive and a keen interest in higher education and the fundraising space.
What we are looking for:
• Educated to graduate level of equivalent.
• Evidence of success as a professional fundraiser in personally securing major gifts (£50k plus), preferably at the six-figure level.
• Persuasive and compelling approach to asking for donations face to face and in writing effective proposals and applications for funding within a not-for-profit setting (preferably higher education).
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and thoughtfulness when dealing with sensitive matters.
• A knowledge of fundraising best practice in the higher education sector.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with the Anne Frank Trust UK, an education charity that educates 9 to 15-year-olds about Anne Frank and the Holocaust, empowering them to challenge all forms of prejudice, to help recruit an Education Delivery Specialist.
Founded in 1991, The Anne Frank Trust UK is the UK partner of the Anne Frank House Amsterdam. "I'll make my voice heard, I'll go out into the world and work for humankind!" wrote Anne Frank in her diary on 12 March 1944. The Trust has a 30-year record of empowering young people to challenge prejudice, inspired by Anne Frank and the antisemitism that she experienced through the Holocaust.
Education Delivery Specialists are the front-line delivery posts for all programmes, leading workshops, training peer educators and mentoring ambassadors across the country. You will be committed to equality with the skills to engage 9 to 15-year-olds through learning and empowerment. You will join a dedicated team, passionate about young people, and committed to empowering them to challenge prejudice.
Key responsibilities
- Programme Delivery: You will plan and deliver educational programmes for young people (ages 9-15) focused on challenging prejudice, empowering them with knowledge and skills. You will book programmes into schools, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and lead workshops and online sessions. You will prioritise equality and diversity, emphasising inclusive educational activities and impact.
- Training, Mentoring and Support: You will train young people as peer educators and Anne Frank Ambassadors to disseminate anti-prejudice messages effectively, and provide mentoring, offering support and guiding them.
- Events: You will organise events, study trips, and projects with your Ambassadors and their communities, working to targets, curriculum, and quality standards. You will monitor and evaluate activities, maintaining records for assessment.
- Database and Fundraising Support: You will maintain comprehensive records on the Trust's databases and contribute occasionally to fundraising efforts, such as grant applications and supporting young people at donor events.
The Education Delivery Specialist will have substantial experience of running learning activities with groups of young people, including aged 9-15 years, and experience of engaging with and meeting the needs of disadvantaged young people. You will also have experience of providing pastoral/emotional support, working successfully as part of a team, and keeping records and writing reports. You will have knowledge of best practice in teaching and/or youth empowerment, as well as be familiar with the needs and issues of young people. You will understand and have ideas about how to challenge prejudice, and an understanding of safeguarding. You will be highly organised, with excellent administration skills, and able to build and maintain effective relationships. You will use your initiative, creativity, and energy to solve problems and develop new ways of working. You will have an inspiring presentation style with warm, professional interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about Anne Frank and the work of the Anne Frank Trust UK.
The role is home-based within the Essex region. Ideally you will have access to appropriate working space which can be discussed further at interview. There will be frequent local and regional travel and occasional UK-wide travel and overnight stays. Expenses are covered and time off in lieu is given for evening and weekend work. You will have a current valid UK driving licence and access to a car. The role is subject to an advanced DBS check on appointment, and references.
