Job Summary
We have one 14-21 hours part time role that can be based from our Manchester, London, Bristol or Newcastle office. The salary for this role is £12,658-18,987 per year (£31,645 per year full time equivalent). This is a temporary role on a one-year fixed term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and professional individual to join our team to support our work with young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness. This role will support the Fundraising team to maximise their database usage by acting as an in-house CRM and data expert. The successful post holder will contribute to the organisations financial success by delivering key learnings to inform fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Fundraising team to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within the Access Charity CRM.
- Regularly audit the database to identify and rectify data quality issues.
- Implement best practices for data entry, data management, and data governance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the charity and the Access Charity CRM provider, project managing the development of new CRM features, training programs, and system enhancements.
- Provide ongoing support and training to staff, ensuring they are proficient in using the CRM to its full potential and troubleshoot CRM-related issues, coordinating with the provider for resolution.
- Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to support fundraising strategies.
- Analyse fundraising data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to develop data-driven approaches to donor engagement, retention, and acquisition.

Overall purpose:
The main purpose of the Senior Partnerships Manager role is to lead on the delivery of first-class account management and development of corporate partnerships that maximise impact and income for Breaking Barriers. The role has line management responsibility to Partnership Managers who are responsible for the delivery of their portfolios and projects to drive the team’s strategy.
Working closely with the Director of Income & Engagement, Head of Corporate Partnerships, and other Senior Fundraisers, you will be responsible for launching and retaining partnerships, deepening relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have line management experience and the ability to develop talent within the team. An understanding of the HR & Talent Development and/or CSR spaces would be advantageous.

- Work with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and other Senior Managers to ensure the successful delivery and continued growth of our corporate partnerships and business development strategies at Breaking Barriers
- Manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships, and support the wider Partnership Management team to deliver on their key partnerships and maximise value

The Give A Duck Foundation is a children’s cancer charity, supporting children who have been diagnosed with cancer throughout the UK. They provide Chemo Duck packs to every UK Principal Treatment Centre and over 30 UK shared care hospitals. Chemo Duck is fitted with medical lines and ports to mirror those of the child and offers comfort and support to children from the start of their treatment journey.
This inspirational charity is looking for an exceptional Regional Fundraiser to join the small but mighty fundraising team and help raise the vital funds needed to make its mission possible; they can’t stop children getting cancer, but they can help to make the treatment journey easier.
The Role
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, the role of the Regional Fundraiser will involve leading on all aspects of fundraising. Duties will include:
- Expanding current fundraising and volunteering activity to create new opportunities for the charity
- Developing and agreeing a fundraising plan with the Fundraising Manager, including measurable targets and outcomes.
- Contributing to all aspects of the charity’s work through communication with health care professionals and families in conjunction with the Fundraising Manager.

Knowledge of forecasting, budget management and experience of working towards targets or KPIs is essential, and the ability to identify appropriate fundraising opportunities is key to being successful in this role.
Perhaps most importantly you have the ability to deal with families and supporters, sensitively and with empathy while remaining a committed ambassador for this fantastic charity, positively promoting the organisation and its work at all times.

We have an exciting opening for someone to join our team as the Head of our Campaigns By You (CBY) team. We need a campaigns expert who understands politics, digital campaigning, platform management, partnership working and how to win both national and local grass roots campaigns.
The Head of Campaigns By You leads the CBY department, crafting plans and supporting the team to run impactful national and local campaigns launched by supporters and partner organisations, which aim to shape the country to be fair, respectful and sustainable. This role oversees the development, outreach and growth of our CBY platform to ensure that we’re giving the best possible support to petition starters and attracting a growing number of petition starters and partner organisations who share our values.
The Head of Campaigns By You must overview and lead the CBY team’s campaign outputs and the performance of the tech platform to ensure organisational health and sustainability. They manage risk, and are the escalation point for moderation decisions on what we host. They balance the CBY campaign team’s campaign portfolio to ensure that it’s engaging thousands of supporters and fundraising effectively in order to create political impact – and they lead the team to collaborate across the wider function and organisation. This is not a hands off role, you’ll be expected to lead the team by example.

Job Description
Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.
Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development. Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The Team
This role sits within London or Manchester as part of the Fundraising team and reports directly to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing. We have an overall income target of £2.2M across fundraising this financial year (2024/25) and £2.5M next financial year (2025/206).
Job Summary
We have one role that can be based from either our Manchester or London office. This is a temporary role on a 12-month fixed term contract with the opportunity to be made permanent.
This is a brand-new role in the Fundraising team with a unique opportunity to develop the charities’ first legacy/in-memory fundraising programme. Akt has received several organic legacy donations over the past few years. As a 35-year-old charity, we are in a prime position to pro-actively promote legacy fundraising with our supporters, who are particularly well suited for legacy giving. Following an independent review of our fundraising approach, we believe this new role will be key to the long-term growth of the charity.
Akt also benefits from a small handful of high-value donors. The post holder would be responsible for nurturing these key relationships, making sure that stewardship and cultivation plans have been developed and actioned for each donor giving £1K+.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive legacy giving strategy to increase long-term funding.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with potential legacy donors, ensuring consistent communication and engagement, and recording known gifts on the CRM.
