This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with project management experience and a desire to serve churches in Southwark Diocese as part of an initiative enabling spiritual and numerical growth.
Specific projects have been identified in places across the Diocese of Southwark where there is a clear opportunity for growth and funding has been obtained from the Church of England’s Strategic Development Funding (SDF) to support these projects. This role will be key in the successful implementation of our strategy in each of these places, ensuring the plans are implemented and all strategic and operational aspects of the project are co-ordinated and monitored. An important component of the role is to identify the lessons that are being learned so that these can be replicated to good effect across the Diocese and the wider church.
The Project Manager is responsible for day to day management of the project from initial set up through to successful delivery, working closely with the Programme Manager. This will involve the implementation, co-ordination and tracking of the project plans for the projects that comprise this SDF funded initiative.
About you
- Relevant experience of managing projects in a complex environment is critical, as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders from different disciplines and with differing viewpoints.
- You should have a good awareness and understanding of techniques for planning, monitoring and measuring programmes and projects, including risk management, with a proven ability to support organisational change.
- A good understanding of the structure, breadth and dynamics of the Church of England will be important, along with the desire to serve our churches and support a fruitful future.

The AFRUCA Child Protection Family Support Service sits within AFRUCA as one of our most impactful programmes targeting families from a range of ethnic backgrounds across England and Wales. The service works closely with local authorities children’s services in cases involving families on child protection plans or in court proceedings. We provide direct one to one training and support for parents to aid their ability to provide appropriate parenting and ensure a safer, happier home environment for their children.
The AFRUCA Child Protection Service currently has a team of five qualified social workers and supports over 50 families each year. We also provide a therapeutic service where children are being reunified with their parents. We are establishing a child protection legal drop in service for families in contact with children’s services and an advocacy service for parents in the child protection system.
Most of our families are referred by local authorities children’s services as a result of cultural and religious practices which are deemed harmful to children’s well-being. We offer qualified social workers who do not wish to work in the statutory sector with an alternative approach to practising social work where empathy, kindness and support is key to our work with families. Our ultimate aim is a reduction of children in Black and Ethnic communities going into or remaining in foster care. Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. We have just finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.
Job Context
Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to research, innovation and technology: the Global Research, Innovation and Technology Strategy (GRITS). With the finalisation of the new strategy, and as part of our ongoing commitment to improving our impact and efficiency, we are now seeking a consultant to provide specialised research support and technical advice.
Job Purpose

Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Job Purpose
· To manage an exciting, new programme in Southwark implementing a whole school approach (WSA) to food
· To promote, develop and deliver the programme across nurseries, primaries, secondaries and SEN schools in Southwark
· To ensure that the programme is delivered on time and on budget
Key Tasks include:
- Onboard and line-manage a Project Officer and volunteers to support delivery, providing training as required
- Conduct desk research to group schools and nurseries using a RAG rating, based on level of support required to achieve a WSA to food
- Create a detailed project plan for delivery
- Support with the development of resources and training packages for schools
- Work with an early years’ consultant to tailor resources and training to nursery settings
· Recruit schools to take part in the programme
· Build relationships with teachers, teaching assistants, cooks and senior leaders in schools to improve the food they offer their students
· Support schools to complete school food action plans and polices
· Deliver role-specific training to key staff in schools (training provided if necessary)
· Deliver in-person engagement sessions and online workshops to support schools to achieve their action plans
· Work closely with Southwark Council’s School Food Team to support their aims through the Southwark School Meals Transformation Programme
- Maintain an excellent relationship with Southwark Council, and support with written and verbal reports
· Manage the budget for the programme in collaboration with SFM’s Finance & HR Manager
· Collect data and maintain accurate records on Airtable relating to the programme
- Work closely with our Impact & Strategy Manager and Evaluation Officer to complete all monitoring and evaluation

About the Role
The Director of Partnerships will lead TASC’s partnership efforts, responsible for cultivating and securing new partnerships, and delivering on partnership strategies. You will manage relationships with key strategic partners, donors, civil society allies, and academic stakeholders. The Director of Partnerships will work closely with the CEO, contributing to the charity’s broader external relations activities, while operating with independence and professionalism.

ENHANCING REPRESENTATIVE PROCESSES
• Act as central point of contact for colleagues across King’s and KCLSU for centralising and sharing information about student voice and representation structures related to Transformation Office projects;
• Set up and oversee systems for the management of student representative data between KCLSU and various King’s project teams;
• Ensure that all areas of student representative recruitment, induction, and support are conducted smoothly;
