As the Volunteering Experience Officer for Imperial Health Charity, you will be passionate about ensuring that volunteers have the best possible experience through effective systems, processes and tools to volunteer. You’ll ensure that we deliver high quality communications and engagement to our volunteers through on-brand resources, web content and tools for the wider team to engage with and support the development of our automation tools across the team to improve the experience for staff and volunteers. Ensuring our volunteers have the right skills and knowledge to volunteer is an important part of this role, and you’ll ensure that our volunteers receive the best possible learning and development opportunities across the team both online and in person. We are looking for someone that can support our impact and evaluation methods across the team and help translate this into programme improvements, and shout about the impact that volunteers have across our hospitals.

Support the overall design of our volunteer journey along with key engagement activities to ensure we meet recognised standards and can innovate to create streamlined processes to improve volunteer experience.

Support across the volunteering team, our impact and evaluation methods to drive through programme improvements and learning.

Support the development of high quality learning and development opportunities for volunteers, ensuring that they receive both skills and knowledge to effectively volunteer in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Person Specification:

• Proven expertise of fundraising across different income streams (e.g. trusts and foundations, community, regional, philanthropy). Expertise of developing new income streams from scratch/a low base would be beneficial but not essential.

• Experience of working in a communications role/closely with communications teams to maximise the opportunities to engage externally and increase support/awareness.

 The work is an assertive outreach caseworker role; an Advocate will be responsible for supporting 5 women in their assigned borough. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into care.

About You

• Demonstrable experience of working with people affected by VAWG
• Experience of risk assessment, risk management, and safety planning with victim/survivors including those at high risk
• Experience of working with people affected by severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution and offending behaviour
• Experience of multi-agency partnership working
• A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse

What will your typical day involve? 

You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. Key tasks include organising intergenerational events, creating spontaneous engagement opportunities, and fostering communication with Jewish organisations, synagogues, schools, and community centres. 

You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. Impeccable customer service is essential, as you'll welcome visitors and ensure a positive experience. You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events. 

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.

The Role

Core responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
• Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
• Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
• Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle
• Community management across the various campaign channels
• Developing social media toolkits and coordinating with partners around big mobilisations
• Analysing the performance of social media outputs and their contribution towards the wider campaign, and making recommendations on how to improve
• Managing the distribution of key pieces of social media content to relevant stakeholders to increase online amplification (partners, groups and pages)
• Supporting the campaign team on other digital tasks as required: ie  maintaining campaign websites, digital action tools, online databases and email inbox

Main Roles

• To provide advice and casework at OISC Level 2/3 on immigration, nationality and asylum law.

Specific Duties

• Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.

Leading by example, as Senior Caseworker you will be the day-to-day expert within the team, be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers and escalate concerns to the Team Leader or Service Manager.  You will work with – and advocate for - young people and their families at risk of youth violence in residential settings and provide vital support, advice and advocacy using a strength-based approach, which will also include working through person-centred support plans designed to promote choice and control.

We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, where you will provide a practical service that will include social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, appearing in court, and DIY work.  Ensuring, on a day-to-day basis, all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes, is also a key element of this role, as is developing and maintaining strong working relationships with partner agencies.

About the Service

The Sexual Health project was piloted in Islington and the project has expanded and will now cover Camden, Haringey and Barnet. From late 2021, the Sexual Health project covers a further three sexual health clinics in North London and will continue to provide high-quality holistic support to survivors of sexual abuse and violence who approach the sexual health clinic. As with all Islington SASS services, the Sexual Health project is inclusive to all survivors, but this project has a specific focus on increasing the engagement for LGBTQ+ survivors.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sexual Health Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate to sit in the Islington SASS team and co-locate in a Camden Sexual Health Clinic. As a IDSVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of domestic and sexual abuse attending the clinic including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the Sexual Health lead for Solace in for Camden, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Sexual Health professionals.

The Sexual Health IDVAs also hold a caseload providing one-to-one support to high-risk victims/survivors at the point of crisis as well as those at standard and medium risk levels, co-ordinating multi agency support and providing practical solutions.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

The Student Voice Facilitator will work within the Student Voice team to develop and deliver innovative representation practices, ensuring our members can exercise their student voice and influence university decision-making. This will be focused on Student Futures, a large-scale transformation portfolio King’s College London is undertaking. Student Futures aims to improve student experiences in key areas across the next three years. These areas include improving core processes and systems for education delivery; ensuring the university is able to provide proactive and personalised support for student wellbeing; and delivering a distinct, valuable extraand co-curricular student experience. At times, the post-holder will also be required to support other King’s Transformation Office programmes, such as Campus Futures, which is overseeing the development of King’s campus spaces and facilities in the next few years. This role is funded for the next three years, the planned timeline of the Student Futures portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

FACILITATING QUALITY REPRESENTATION PRACTICES:

• Facilitate representation practices within Student Futures, both in person and online, in line with KCLSU’s Student Voice Partnership Agreement and Student Voice Design Framework;
• Lead on development of innovative facilitation methods to foster collaborative, productive spaces for student participation that are fit to respond to the issue at hand;
• Create toolkits, guidance, and other training materials to support the facilitation skills development across KCLSU and King’s;
• Develop and deliver training on facilitation skills for KCLSU and King’s colleagues.

SERVICE DEVELOPMENT:

• Work with Student Voice colleagues to expand the capacity and reach of the team across King’s;
• Support the development and delivery of an evaluation process for the facilitation of student voice within projects or service areas, ensuring monitoring requirements are met in order to demonstrate impact and track progress over time;
• Represent KCLSU’s Student Voice team and promote the Student Voice Design Framework to King’s colleagues and other relevant stakeholders;
• Create and deliver training, guidance, and on-going support for Student Officers and other student representatives on facilitation, student voice, and related areas, equipping students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to thrive in their role and feel empowered to grow as community leaders.

Our Bright Futures programme provides mentoring, employability, and wellbeing support for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people aged 15 – 25 years. We work directly with the young people through tailored mentoring and consistent support to build motivation, confidence, and resilience.

Being a Bright Futures Youth Mentor involves:

· Building trust-based relationships with young mentees

· Monitoring, recording and reporting on mentee/s journey and progress
