About us

Who we are

As the dedicated charity for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we help our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising.

Our activities provide extra support for hard-working hospital staff, while improving the care that patients receive - above and beyond what the Trust can achieve with NHS funding alone.

We deliver supportive arts and volunteering programmes that enhance the overall hospital experience for staff and patients as well as awarding funding for healthcare projects that enable the Trust to provide an even better service.

Our strategy, 2022-25

Building on our recent successes, our three-year strategy is about expanding and enhancing what we do. It's about continuing to provide extra support for the benefit of patients and NHS staff at our hospitals. But it's also about exploring ways in which we can work with the Trust and other partners to support better health outcomes in our surrounding communities as well as within the hospital walls.

Our culture and values

We believe everyone deserves the best possible care during their time in hospital. That’s why we put patients at the heart of everything we do – from funding refurbishments of hospital buildings to offering creative arts activities at the bedside. Our support helps our hospitals provide even better care for patients and their families, enabling fast and effective improvements to services and extra support where it’s needed most.

Day and night, our extraordinary NHS staff work tirelessly to look after patients and their families – often in extremely challenging circumstances.

By supporting their mental health and wellbeing, and creating opportunities to further their professional development, we make life easier for hard-working staff and help our hospitals provide even better care.

Over the last year, we’ve enabled staff to pursue ambitious research projects, develop new skills and gain valuable experience. We’ve also improved facilities to create better working environments.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

We are committed to helping our hospitals provide exceptional care and better health for people living in north west London. To do this, it’s important that we understand, appreciate and reflect the diverse communities we serve. Having a diverse team – bringing a range of perspectives, experiences, opinions and ideas – makes us stronger and more impactful. It empowers us to make better decisions and helps us engage more effectively with everyone who relies on our support.
