The Boaz Trust is a Manchester-based charity that started 20 years ago as an outworking of the founder's Christian faith. Last year we provided trauma-informed and person-centred housing and support for more than 200 people facing homelessness after seeking safety in the UK through our floating support and 17 properties that we manage.

This new role is a key part of our strategy to increase our capacity to provide accommodation for more people in the Greater Manchester area working in partnership with GMCA and a range of local and national stakeholders. You will report directly to the CEO and Board and be part of the Senior Leadership Team building on our unique experience of providing both housing-focused and floating support for people who have recently been granted refugee status, as well as those who have been refused asylum and who are facing homelessness.

In the current climate, this work is needed more than ever. We are therefore looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to develop our accommodation services. The ideal candidate will have experience / knowledge of;

• procuring and managing accommodation services (including shared housing)
• social housing standards, regulations and other relevant housing legislation
• project, contract or budgetary management
• managing a team of staff and contractors 
• building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, to increase impact and sustainability.

About this key role

Leading by example, our successful candidate will work in partnership with partner agencies, other St Giles Trust teams and referral organisations to identify and receive appropriate referrals to the project and have responsibility for an ongoing caseload of clients, regularly reviewing progress and applying case management skills to provide a personalised service and meet all set targets.

We will count on you to organise and deliver one-to-one and group activities to prepare clients for employment and to achieve their goals and to carry out comprehensive initial assessments with clients to produce realistic individual action plans which are regularly reviewed and updated.  You will actively support clients to navigate and access provision and support available, making appropriate referrals to specialist support services where required, while also developing and maintaining strong links with employers and potential work placement hosts to open up opportunities, sharing with colleagues and supporting clients to take up opportunities.

What we are looking for

• Substantial experience of working on a high value, target-driven project
• Experience of delivering successful one-to-one and group employment activities, applying a creative approach to planning programmes, workshops and activities
• Extensive experience of managing a caseload of clients presenting with support needs and achieving set targets for employment outcomes
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people
• An in-depth knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by the client group in accessing and sustaining employment and methods that result in positive outcomes
• The ability to carry out risk assessments
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written.

As an IDVA, you will be able to effectively work with men experiencing domestic abuse, and supporting them to increase their safety and reduce harm. You will be providing high-quality, front-line service to prioritise risk, primarily focusing on males aged 18+.

You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through attending meetings such as MARAC and DA (Domestic Abuse) Forums to keep safety central to all services for men suffering/have suffered domestic abuse. You will specialise and be a leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for male victims. Be willing to co-facilitate workshops across the service to ensure all clients are given the relevant advice in a timely manner.

You will be confident in your DVPO, DAPO, Occupational, restraining and Non-Molestation order knowledge. Be competent in completing the following forms-  DASH (Domestic abuse, Stalking and ‘honour’ based abuse), UPOA (Understanding Picture of abuse), UPOAP (Understanding Picture of a Perpetrator) and safety plans.

Focus on and prioritise high, medium and low risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support. Work with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their children safe.

Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance.

Support clients through the family and/or criminal justice system.

Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service including producing statistics, as required.

Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work. Remain up-to-date and comply with organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct - uphold standards of best practice.

About the Role

The Connection at St. Martins is based in the heart of London, in the most concentrated area of rough sleeping in the UK.  We have an ambitious strategy to tackle rough sleeping in central London with those people who are most persistently on the streets. Building relationships of trust with clients is at the heart of our work.  To achieve this in practice, we have a fully trauma informed approach across the whole charity with psychologists embedded in our service delivery teams.

Alongside running our busy day centre at Adelaide Street by Trafalgar Square, we are developing our access to accommodation.  This includes a project to extend our scheme in Clapham with a new building during 2025.  The extension will provide 3 additional studio flats and activity spaces.  This is the first in a longer term goal to introduce more accommodation into our service portfolio so that we can house an additional 300 of our Adelaide Street clients by 2028.  We are also keen to develop our links into health, through partnerships with the NHS and other treatment services.  Finally, we would like to further improve our offer for women and for people with No Recourse to Public Funds. 

The Director of Services is a vital role for us and this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for someone who shares our passion for addressing rough sleeping.  The successful candidate will be ambitious and tenacious in developing high quality services and growing our support.  They must be able to build really strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders alongside bringing extensive experience from homelessness, mental health, addiction or the criminal justice sector.

Aquarius work with families and young people across a range of home and community settings supporting parents to build insight into the impact of parental substance misuse whilst developing safety and risk management strategies to minimise risk to the wider family.

Aquarius has a well embedded family service with a think family approach being utilised across the city of Derby We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to help deliver this service and expand the family support options to support families in Derby with the aim of improving outcomes for all family members affected by parental substance misuse. 

An energetic and confident self-starter, you will need a passion for working with families supported by a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. The Energy Neighbours Project Coordinator enables all staff and organisations involved in the project to work together effectively. The Coordinator works with the Project Manager to develop effective, safe ways of working that make the best use of resources.

The Coordinator ensures the quality and effectiveness of record keeping, risk management and joined-up planning across the project. They help the team work together on planning work and preparations for forums, conferences and reporting. The Coordinator provides support to ensure that the project’s safeguarding, health & safety, finance and contracting arrangements are implemented across the team. They manage the office and equipment.

NOTE: We want to build good team relationships and connections with locla community organisations, so most of the work is expected to be in person. However, some home working is possible by arrangement.

About the Team

The Committed Giving Team is a high achieving, fast-paced team responsible for the acquisition and retention of committed/ regular donors. The team (13 people) work across 3 key areas; Acquisition, Direct Dialogue Acquisition (Face to Face channels) and Stewardship. The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.

JOB PURPOSE

• To provide professional and confidential business support to the Group CEO and UK leadership team, ensuring key initiatives are delivered by coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• To support the leadership team and Group Board of Trustees to efficiently and meticulously perform our governance responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive support to the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO):

• Proactively manage and coordinate the diary of the CEO by prioritising and arranging internal and external meetings, ensuring they are fully prepared for all internal and external engagements.
• Oversee the management of the CEO Outlook mailbox, dealing with incoming emails, categorising and filing these
as appropriate, responding on behalf of the CEO and triaging or delegating to other team members where relevant.
• Organise domestic and international travel arrangements, including liaising with internal and external contacts to arrange
meetings. Ensure that time is prioritised effectively and appropriately with reasonable timings and rest periods.
• Work closely with the CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
• Ensure that papers and briefings are given to the CEO for meetings and that any instructions/directions are obtained prior to the meeting.
• Provide timely and relevant information to support decision making and planning, dealing with people at the most senior level both internally and externally and appropriately representing Railway Children at all times.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the CEO (for internal and external correspondence,
papers, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and providing appropriate information for meetings and events).
• Undertake desktop research as necessary to support the CEO’s preparation for meetings and presentations.
• Project manage special projects for the CEO when required.
• Monitor and triage relevant social media channels and codraft content with the CEO to increase profile and visibility.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed on behalf of the CEO including, but not limited to, expenses and annual leave requests.
• Act with the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Leadership Team Executive Assistance:
• Coordinate, plan and minute leadership team meetings. Develop agendas and papers and ensure that key discussions and actions are followed up.
• Assist in the organisation of all staff away days including room bookings and catering, agenda organisation and logistical support on the day.
• Assist the Leadership Team in the effective implementation of our annual planning process under the direction of the Group CEO.
• Oversee the management of leadership team diaries and support with national and international travel arrangements.
• Provide administrative support and initiate planning for key strategic meetings, including venue bookings and logistics.
• Support the Group Director of People & Culture in the administration of HR matters in line with GDPR guidance, including recruitment, trustee engagements, DBS checks and employee communications.
• Coordinate Performance Management Review meetings and paperwork on behalf of the leadership team.
• Assist with the administration of procurement processes as required.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the leadership team. Accurately review, proofread and assist with materials ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Group Board & Governance

• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that there is appropriate co-ordination of Board, sub-committee and leadership team meetings and an effective flow of information.
• Plan and coordinate Group Board and sub-committee meetings including scheduling dates, organising agendas,
minuting meetings and circulating papers.
• Support the Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance with core policy documents, liaising with the leadership team to
review dates and ensure updated policies are scheduled for approval at Group Board and sub-committee meetings.
• Manage production and circulation of Board papers. Liaise with the leadership team to ensure reports are received to
deadlines, providing editorial inputs to ensure reports are of the highest quality before review by the Chief Executive.
• Proof-read and distribute Board minutes, ensuring timely follow up on any actions.
• Assist the Group Director of People and Culture in the recruitment and rotation processes for Group Board members.
• Liaise with our CEO, Trustees and legal partners to undertake the administration of our governance responsibilities.

General duties

• Uphold and work within Railway Children’s policies and procedures.
• Conduct yourself in accordance with the rules of the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct in your personal and professional life – which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse or any other breach of these policies.
• Actively promote and embody Railway Children’s core values across the organisation.
• Travel to Railway Children’s field operations as and when required.

The Role

Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national
and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them.

As our Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you’ll lead impactful policy initiatives that align with our mission to end domestic abuse and to ensure support for the whole family, preventing harm, reducing risk and supporting recovery. Working closely with our Head of Public Affairs and Policy, you’ll develop strategies which will amplify our voice and the voice of survivors, and deepen our policy engagement, particularly in relation to multi-agency work, health and family justice.

You will be joining the organisation at a pivotal moment as the new Government makes an explicit commitment to halve VAWG in ten years, including planning a new strategy and a number of new Bills to support this mission This provides an unmissable policy development and influencing opportunity to ensure that SafeLives’ priorities for improving the response to domestic abuse are taken forward by Government.

This is an ideal role for a dynamic and experienced policy manager with a commitment to social change and the prevention of domestic abuse.

Role purpose

As Digital and Social Media Manager, you will be using digital communication channels to support the engagement of our community of supporters, partners, patients, families and staff in the work of the charity and helping realise our shared ambition with the Trust to be national leaders in the delivery of patient care and health innovation.

The Digital and Social Media Manager is part of a collaborative and creative team responsible for the development and delivery of the CW+ Communications and Marketing strategy, including on- and offline communications, PR and media, donor stewardship and marketing collateral, and events support.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the Digital and Social Media Manager will be proactive in shaping and managing the charity’s digital presence (including the website), with a strong focus on tracking and using data. They will inform the direction of multiple exciting strands of work by providing insight into digital trends and performance.

Highlights for the year ahead include:

• Maximising the impact of the charity’s new website (launched September 2024) and ensuring that tracking and conversion metrics are optimised.
• Building and sustaining momentum for the Thirty at Thirty campaign, ensuring that we are consistently focused on building relationships and widening our supporter base via digital channels.
• Celebrating the continued success and impact of the CW Innovation programme, which marks its five-year anniversary in October 2024.
• Promoting the impact of our Arts in Health programme, including the creation of new world-class facilities for staff and patients on both of our hospital sites.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing to ensure effective, data-driven use of CW+ digital channels (website and social media) in support of marketing, communications and fundraising plans.
• Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing to develop the annual social media plan.
• Working closely with the Public Fundraising Manager to ensure that the charity’s fundraising activities are being effectively supported and promoted across all channels.
• Working closely with the Fundraising Team on the development, launch and management of fundraising campaigns and leading on the use of paid socials (including budget management, tracking and reporting).
• Leading on using digital tracking, analysis and insights to inform and adapt digital content and strategy as the charity’s strategic needs evolve.
• Providing expert ownership of Mailchimp (or other mailing platforms as required) and ensuring PECR/GDPR compliance.
• Strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the CW+ website and social media channels, including creating accurate, creative content and assets that conform to the CW+ style and brand guidelines.
• Recommending improvements and optimising content to increase performance. 
• Being the main point of contact with external developers, designers and suppliers where necessary.
• Leading on website accessibility, updating and informing colleagues as necessary.
• Supporting the delivery of CW+ events.
• Commissioning and creating content for offline channels.
• Proofreading and editing copy, ensuring that it adheres to the CW+ tone of voice and style guidelines.

Person specification Essential skills and experience 

• Communications and content creation experience across a wide range of channels including digital and print.
• Demonstrable experience of tracking and analysing data in support of effective marketing and communications activities in line with strategic objectives.
• Experience of website Content Management Systems and Customer Relationship Management systems, and how they interact.
• Strong understanding of Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager.
• Track record of running end-to-end income-generating campaigns.
• Extensive experience of using digital marketing email platforms.
• Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and SEO.
• Understanding of current PECR and GDPR guidelines.
• Understanding of running reports, segmenting audiences and setting up automated flows in an email marketing platform such as MailChimp.
• Experience of updating, monitoring and managing multiple social media platforms including managing paid campaigns.
• Knowledge of social media publishing tools such as AgoraPulse or Hootsuite.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, tailoring messages for different audiences and stakeholders.
• Excellent writing, copy-editing and proofreading skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of working in a busy communications, PR or marketing team.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing schedules internally and with external suppliers.

Key terms and benefits

• Hours: 35 per week (normally 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Please note that there is a requirement to be in the office approximately 50% of the time.
• Pension: employer contribution of 8%.
• Holiday: 27 days per annum, plus UK bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff).
• Probation: six months is standard unless you have a specific reason to reduce/increase.
