As an apprentice, you will work within a parish to develop and strengthen its children and youth ministry while studying with Ridley London. This three-year apprenticeship leads to a Certificate in Higher Education (Level 4) in Foundations in Theology, Ministry and Mission, with a focus on youth and children’s work.
You’ll be employed for 21 hours per week, spending 16 hours in the parish and 5 hours studying. Applicants must apply with a linked parish.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Engaging with children and young people, building positive relationships and supporting their faith journey.
- Helping to lead activities such as Sunday school, messy church, youth groups, and holiday clubs.
- Creating and delivering new initiatives to deepen young people’s involvement in the church.
- Developing outreach work with local schools and community groups.
- Leading discipleship courses for young people.
- Assisting with administration related to children’s and youth work.
- Attending regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as part of the apprenticeship.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience in youth and children’s work (voluntary or paid) or community learning and development.
- GCSE/NVQ Level 2 qualifications, or a commitment to achieving these within the first year.
- A willingness to commit to a three-year apprenticeship, combining study, training, and hands-on experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire young people.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe environment for children and young people.
- A Christian faith and alignment with the mission and values of the Church of England.

Role Overview
The VAWG Service Manager is primarily responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of The Angelou Centre’s (AC) holistic, trauma informed and culturally competent VAWG services for Black and minoritised women and children by:
- Leading, managing, developing, fundraising, monitoring and delivering the operational running of high-quality VAWG frontline services for Black and racially minoritised women and children across the Northumbria Combined Authority (NECA)
- Developing, reviewing and supporting the delivery of the Centre’s VAWG training to partners and agencies
- Ensuring that all service safeguarding measures are in place and that AC’s strong track record of institutional advocacy and prioritisation of women and children rights remains central to services
- Initiating, developing and maintaining effective relationships and formal partnerships with organisations within the VAWG sector locally regionally and nationally
- Overseeing representation at multi-agency partnerships and implementing and supporting the development of the strategic direction of VAWG services and VAWG Training offer
- Working closely with the Refuge team to ensure both residents and non-residents have access to golden standards VAWG services and are supported in a way that is consistent across the VAWG service.
- Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the service, effective case management as well as managing a caseload of more complex cases

- Provide psychotherapy sessions on outreach to female clients

New Horizon Youth Centre (NHYC) runs London's only youth-specific emergency accommodation project in partnership with Depaul UK. The London Youth Hub, based in Islington, provides emergency accommodation and support to help young people facing rough sleeping to transition into safe, long-term housing and achieve independence. Join Brook as a Women's Health Coordinator to lead the delivery and coordination of Brook Aspire's menopause support services for businesses and individuals. This role involves delivering organisational training and health and wellbeing outreach, particularly in workplace settings. Alongside this, you will oversee and develop Brook Aspire's services, ensure their growth and quality, while building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and clients.
Essential criteria

In this exciting newly created role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of a bespoke crisis management service accessible by everyone living with HIV in London. You will deliver comprehensive housing options advice to people referred to the service by HIV clinicians, peer support workers and voluntary sector partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on risk of homelessness, social housing applications, rehousing options, bidding process, house swapping options
- Submitting poor conditions complains, advising on disrepair and liaising with local Environment and Health Agency
- Working with asylum seekers to be moved on from unsuitable accommodation and avoid homelessness once granted refugee status
- Supporting applications for legal aid for eviction and homelessness
- Taking part in the ‘Getting to zero’ collaborative monthly/bi-monthly partnership meetings, monthly casework supervision meetings and staff meetings as required
- Together with the Project Lead, using quality improvement methodology to shape and improve the service
- Establishing collaborative working with HIV clinic and provide outreach at various clinics up to four days a month
The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in housing advice (e.g. Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent) or substantial equivalent experience, with at least two years’ experience in providing housing advice or support, particularly to vulnerable groups (e.g., people living with HIV, homelessness, mental health, or immigration issues). Knowledge and understanding of housing law, homelessness legislation, and immigration issues related to housing is crucial, as is experience in dealing with housing benefit systems, social housing applications, and private rented sector issues.

About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to support victims, ensuring that South Wales Victim Focus realises its aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime. South Wales Victim Focus serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced. These can include financial distress; social isolation; reduced mobility; mental and physical health issues; substance use and lack of opportunity. South Wales Victim Focus aims to identifying what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
You will be part of our service delivery team providing support across a range of functions within SW Victim Focus; managing Excel spreadsheets, inputting and raising invoices; managing calls to and from a range of people including those affected by crime and generally supporting our multi-crime service to run smoothly. We support staff and volunteers to keep them safe within their role and you will be given all the training you need to be able to manage your role effectively.
