About us
Who we are
SIPP is about people, friendship, kindness, caring and keeping a community together. It’s about helping those in need. It’s also about fun and celebration, celebrating being Irish in London, celebrating the community and the important days.
The Southwark Irish Pensioners Project was 30 years old last year, which is an incredible achievement for a small charity in todays world.
We currently provide drop-in day services in Bermondsey and Brixton and community support services that includes outreach visits, hospital support through discharge, volunteer befrienders, advice and advocacy services and a pub outreach scheme to older Irish people living in south London, enabling them to live with dignity consistent with their personal choices and preferences and with practical support, we help them to improve their wellbeing and to enjoy a happy and dignified retirement.
