Age UK Islington is developing a new befriending service in the coming months. As part of this development, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time role as a Befriending Coordinator.

This will involve supporting all aspects of service development, partnership building, volunteer recruitment, training and management and matching volunteers to clients for home visits, telephone befriending and/or activity-based befriending. The post holder will also be responsible for case recording, monitoring and service evaluation.

The role is for 15 hours per week; this may increase to 21 hours per week dependant on the success of future funding applications. There is flexibility around when you work these hours.

Do you have a passion for supporting young people's emotional health and wellbeing? We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis as a Community Wellbeing Mentor.

Barnardo's Community Wellbeing Mentors hold a caseload of up to 10 children and young people (aged 6-18 years old) providing early intervention to those who are experiencing poor emotional health and wellbeing either on a 1:1 or group basis. This support can take place at the young persons home, at their school or a community venue.

The RSAA has been changing rapidly in the last few years and you will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we approach our 125th anniversary in 2026.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual for a hybrid role based in our Gloucester office with weekly travel expected to the Wiltshire & Swindon region. The role

A hugely exciting opportunity has become available to join the Football Foundation as our Community Engagement Lead. What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £48,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

About the Role

The Finance & Administration Assistant is a newly created role that will provide various parts of the organisation with administrative support, as well as some receptionist duties. This dynamic role will sit within the Finance team and report to the Director of Finance, however it will directly support the areas of Administration, Finance, Fundraising, and three different Service Delivery functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative tasks

• Manage external communications through post, telephone and email, ensuring information is redirected to the relevant person to be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
• Support service/department managers with necessary purchasing.
•  Keep up to date record of monthly invoicing information for services and liaise between the Senior Finance Officer and the Service Managers to ensure this system is running efficiently and effectively.

Finance related tasks

•  Manage Petty Cash transactions on site, ensuring accurate and up to date records are kept at all times, and perform the bank runs.
• Collect and check monthly debit card and credit card reports with all necessary Purchase Invoices and PO’s from the card holders.
•  Assist the Finance Officer in processing expenditure: checking Purchase Invoices against PO’s, ensuring that all authorisations are in place, and posting expenditure on the QuickBooks database.
• Assist the Senior Finance Officer in sending out statements to overdue Debtors from QuickBooks.

Fundraising related tasks

• Process donation payments received via cheque, cash or PayPal and similar platforms onto the Beacon database.
•  Assist the Fundraising Manager in keeping the Beacon database up to date with donations/grants received, gift aid eligibility and forms, and grant contracts.
• Instigate periodic thank-you letters to donors.

About this job:
As Systems Accountant, you’ll:

• lead on the development and enhancement of Unit 4 ERPx, functioning as system administration and SUPER-user,
• work closely with various internal stakeholders (particularly the IT team) to ensure integration between existing systems and Unit 4 ERPx, building strong relationships with leaders to ensure the system meets requirements,
• be the main point of contact with the system supplier, responsible for ensuring both the smooth-running of the system and continuous improvement,
• be a problem solver, proactively identifying system gaps and working to resolve them in the most efficient way,
• build reports based on business requirements, ensuring decision-makers have financial reporting that provides meaningful insights and recommendations.

About you:
To excel in this role, you'll need extensive hands-on experience with the Unit 4 ERPx system, with a thorough understanding of its demands, capabilities, risks, and opportunities. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be cultivating relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, taking a diplomatic and empathetic approach. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial accounting system processes and management are also crucial. A commitment to, and empathy for, the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust is vital.
