We are recruiting an experienced horticultural consultant who is passionate about involving the community in growing plants and seasonal produce. The Community Gardener will support with the planting and harvesting of fresh, seasonal and organic produce over the busy growing season over the Summer months. The consultant will support with providing volunteers, residents and families to understand the practicalities of gardening and horticultural practices.

About the Role
We are now recruiting for a Housing Advice and Case Worker to provide expert and specialist housing advice and support to our policy and case work teams, especially as it relates to Black and minoritised migrant women with housing needs affected by the criminal justice and/or immigration systems.
The post holder will divide their time equally between our Policy and Public Affairs team and frontline services work. As housing lead, they will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, producing and delivering training and other resources, and will work alongside the Policy and Public Affairs team to ensure the smooth running of our Safe Housing for Migrant Women project. The successful candidate will act as a source of specialist advice to our frontline staff regarding the housing rights and needs of our service users, and will provide urgent community casework support to women with housing needs referred internally from other Hibiscus Projects. The post holder will also support a caseload of a least five service users, providing holistic support and advocacy to empower women to rebuild their lives.
This will include supporting women to participate in education, training, providing outreach support, ensuring the women they work with have a clear understanding of their rights and obligations and how their immigration status may affect their rights to housing and work.
The Housing Advice and Case Worker will play a key role in facilitating communication between the Policy and Public Affairs and frontline teams, maintaining accurate records to support with monitoring, reporting and evaluation of Hibiscus’ Projects. In particular, they will support the collection of data, case studies and qualitative feedback to inform the Safe Homes for Migrant Women project and evaluation.
They will demonstrate a commitment to Hibiscus's ethos aims and objectives, including having an intersectional and anti-racist approach to the work and a comprehensive understanding of one of more of Hibiscus’ key work areas.

About you
We are particularly keen to attract talent from Black and minoritised communities and those with lived experience of immigration, the criminal justice systems, and/or violence against women and girls. We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about the housing rights of Black and minoritised migrant women. You will need knowledge and significant understanding of the challenging reality of the housing and how Black and minoritised women can best gain access to relevant housing offerings.
The successful candidate will have experience working in the housing sector or providing housing advice/advocacy to groups subjected to marginalisation and an in-depth knowledge of relevant housing legislation, policy and practice, especially as it relates to Black and minoritised migrant women. The candidate will have experience of working in partnership with statutory and non-statutory organisations, and proven ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders, while working collaboratively and positively with service users and colleagues.
The candidate will have direct frontline experience working with women with complex needs such as insecure immigration status, criminal justice system involvement, or violence against women and girls, and be confident in facilitating workshops, developing training and collating case studies using trauma-informed, feminist practice.
They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to working. They will have a clear and demonstrable understanding of one of more of Hibiscus’ key work areas – criminal justice, immigration and migrants’ rights, racial justice, and/or violence against women and girls.

1. Main Responsibilities
1.1 Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with strategic objectives

2. Major Donors
2.1 Growing the scale of donations – both the number of donors and the value of donations by managing an impactful major donor programme for the Trust

2.3 Develop and manage a portfolio of high value donors and prospects to include working closely with appropriate colleagues on research, cultivation, ask and stewardship, including planning and delivery of inspiring events

4.8 Work with the Membership Services Manager and Membership Development Officer to ensure data is recorded on the CRM accurately and effectively to enable required analysis, tracking, reporting, segmentation and future targeting

The Ruth Strauss Foundation is looking to grow its fundraising team and this role will play a pivotal part in developing Individual Giving for the organisation. This role will lead the Individual Giving and Legacy programme, responsible for building the database of regular givers, introducing new campaigns and products to acquire new donors and increase retention rates and lifetime donor value.
This role will be responsible for developing a supporter centric marketing strategy generating a supporter journey which drives excellent supporter experience, creating a RSF family of donors. This role will develop products for in memory fundraising and build our legacy programme from scratch, developing a legacy fundraising strategy and subsequent comms plan and journey.

- Set up product/campaign processes including fulfilment and supporter stewardship
- Ensure all individual giving and legacy activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other IG processes/policies
- Conduct regular sector wide and competitor research to stay ahead of trends and maximiseopportunities for RSF

Expertise required
- Exceptional experience of managing an individual giving programme, managing a range of campaigns/products of varying size and scale including acquisition activity, warm appeals and reactivation

About the Ruth Strauss Foundation
In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.

The Role
We are recruiting for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our Fundraising team. You will be responsible for growing our existing community products such as Turn Cricket Red as well as introducing new products and initiatives to generate growth in Community Fundraising. What we are looking for:
- Experience of designing and delivering successful Community fundraising events and activities
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including budget and project management
- Ability to build excellent relationships especially with supporters, partners, ambassadors and suppliers
- Strong team player and project leadership, ensuring clear and regular communication with the RSF team and stakeholders as appropriate
- Ability to keep calm under pressure and maintain a clear head, anticipating risks and problems
- A willingness to adapt and be flexible. There are often new projects, changing priorities, and new processes that you will need to embrace
- Ability to undertake travel, including overnight stays where necessary
- Competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems
Desirable
- Experience delivering nationwide community campaigns
- Competent user of client / supporter databases

We do this by helping people find volunteering opportunities, advising charities and other not-for-profit groups on all aspects of running an organisation, and directly supporting those most in need in the community.
Key Tasks
- Lead and deliver projects as part of a high-quality programme of support and development for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and Communities in Buckinghamshire. (See appendix)
- Lead on specialist knowledge areas, including supporting the leadership team to develop strategies, policies and procedures, and advising/training VCSE organisations on the subject. (See appendix)
- Support the leadership team in the design, development and planning of the programme.
- Develop volunteering roles and recruit, induct and supervise a team of volunteers and associates to support the programme.
- Develop and deliver outreach and engagement activity to community groups and local charities.
- Induct and train new staff and volunteers about your areas of responsibility.
- Manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the public, private and voluntary sectors to support the development of the programme and delivery of programme objectives.
- Represent and advocate for the charity and the voluntary and community sector, at partnership or public meetings and events.
- Develop and secure income sources, including grants and commissions and commercial income generation.
- Identify and develop partnership opportunities and manage relationships with funders and other key stakeholders.
- Support the leadership team to prepare budgets and plan and manage the allocation of resource to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the work programme.

Job Purpose
This is an exciting time to be joining Barnsley CVS and the development of its volunteer offer, working closely with the Barnsley Refugee Advice Project to ensure best practice.
The main purpose of the role is to facilitate better integration of refugee’s, migrants, and asylum seekers into community life in Barnsley using the vehicle of volunteering as a means of supporting this.
You will be responsible for building a strong and trusted relationship with the refugee and asylum seeking community; ensuring potential volunteers are well supported to easily access volunteer roles in Barnsley and playing a significant role in community cohesion. You are likely to provide support through 1-1 support, small group sessions or carefully worded website adverts and information. Alongside this, you will work closely with voluntary and community sector groups to help them develop appropriate opportunites, ensure good practice and create a network of trusted organisations.
You will need a passion for volunteering and inclusion, patience to work with vulnerable communities and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in both a written and spoken context.
Main duties
Individual support
· Providing direct support to individuals from Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community to find community-based volunteering roles

Support to organisations
· To work with organisations to ensure that volunteer policies and procedures are inclusive

· Provide information, advice, training and assistance to organisations on the implementation, management and monitoring of volunteering activities

· To attend the migrant drop-in and work in collaboration with the partners of the migrant network
· To work in collaboration with other Volunteer Coordinators both internally and externally through attendance at the Volunteer Coordinators / Managers meetings hosted by Barnsley CVS
· To attend workshops, group meetings, market places to help network and promote the volunteer services of Barnsley CVS
· To create reports reflecting the progress and learnings of the project to both report to the local authority and to assist in development

The Evidence & Evaluation Manager / Senior Economist will work in a dedicated Impact and Evidence directorate.
You will be central to our ambition to create the largest repository of robust evidence and evaluations of what works to support young people into good jobs.
- In the directorate, you will support the Head of Evaluation to ensure all Youth Futures’ investments are designed to provide robust evidence of what works.
- The postholder will design, commission and manage impact evaluations and support impact evaluation methods (through a statistics or economics background) within the team. Working closely with commissioned independent evaluators, programme staff, wider delivery partners and colleagues in our Grants and Investment directorate.
- You will also work with colleagues to develop new programmes, which will improve the evidence base on supporting young people into good jobs by working with partners able to run larger-scale trials.
- You will contribute to the development of our suite of ‘evaluation architecture’, enhancing our data infrastructure and administrative dataset access, as well as methodological guidance and standards.
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.
